I have been to Fassler Hall several times over the last few years since moving to Tulsa, and each time I go it moves higher up on my proverbial list. The Oktoberfest event they hold each year is top notch. It features tons of great food, beer, and music. My favorite part of this event is the "hat toss" at the beer stand. After each beer purchased, you get a chance to catch a large German hat (thrown by a beer stand staffer) on your head using only your noggin. If you do catch the hat, you win a free beer. I've been waiting 10 long months to get my revenge... More recently, I came here for a post church Sunday brunch. We had the breakfast tacos and potatoes. Absolutely delicious and a great price to boot (hi-ooo!). They have incredibly cheap (and huge!) mimosas that allow you to choose from 5 different flavors of fruit juice. Fassler Hall has the best German food and drinks in Tulsa. I personally enjoy the duck fat fries and potato cakes. Fassler Hall is a great venue for large groups. I have been to a couple of different events here, and I think the indoor space lends itself well to a variety of crowds. I love hanging out in the outdoor space when the weather is nice. I was flying in to Tulsa for a very short stay, I ordered online and hoped my flight would not be delayed. I would be able to get there with just minutes to spare before Fassler would close. They did great job, having the food ready about 2 minutes after I arrived ( talk about great timing!) it was fresh and hot.. and yummy! I had the duck fat fries and a piece of the pretzel bread pudding..I wish I had ordered 2 of them they were sooo good. service was friendly. I moved out of Tulsa last year, so when I come back to town to visit I never know what the "popping" bar is. So when I found out Fassler was the new spot I had to check it out. The line was out he door when I got there. Luckily I made friends with the doorman & he let me in quickly. Kudos to him. They have a nice outdoor space with a bar & picnic seating. Then you walk inside to a huge open hall with a long bar, stage, and more picnic table seating. Their bar is very reasonably priced. I got a vodka & pineapple for $5. It was tasty but stiff enough that I knew I got my monies worth. It was a cool spot, but the thing is that there is a clear age limit. If you're 21-25 this is THE place to be on a Saturday night. If you're 25+ you will feel like the old guy in the bar. I'm 27. I felt old. Lol But if you want to go out & party with the young folks, Fassler is the place to be. read more

I went here on a Sunday afternoon for happy hour and it was as busy as a weekend night! I now know that they have a mimosa bar where you can buy a bottle of champagne and then choose your own juices to go with it. I will definitely be back for that. Great spot to hang out on the weekends with friends for sure. There is ample seating inside and a great fenced in area outside to hang out. Fassler Hall straddles a line between a punk club and a German beer hall. After meeting up with our friends who just made it into town, we headed out to Fassler Hall, a spot we had on our list of places to go. In one sense, Fassler Hall resembles a German beer hall - long tables with benches, simply appointed, On one side of the room is the bar, serving several German beers, by the liter or half-liter. Additionally, a chalkboard touts what sausages they have. On the other hand, Fassler Hall resembles a bit of a punk club - the floors are bare concrete, the whole space is a converted garage, complete with the floor-to-ceiling garage door. There is also a stage at one end, perfect for a band. Since the tables and benches aren't nailed down, it's probably pretty easy to clear the floor for a show. We got in, took over a table, went to the bar to order drinks (it's handily stenciled on each table that you go to the bar to order). Others in our group ordered beer, and Mrs. R. ordered a drink from the mimosa bar - effectively ordering a glass with sparkling wine, and then there are choices of several juices to top off for your own style of Mimosa. I had a half-liter of Warsteiner dunkel (dark) and also ordered a lamb-sausage. The sausage was rather good, though a bit of a make-it-a-treat price as it was $8 for a sausage on a bun with a few accoutrements, but no side or fries. Still good. We didn't stay terribly long, as we had an afternoon planned ahead of us, but I would be interested in visiting Fassler Hall sometime in the evening, especially if there was a music show playing. Fassler Hall is one of my favorite bars attend with big groups. It's located in the heart of Downtown Tulsa and is spacious, has plenty of seating and while mainly serves beer, has a full bar it liquor, wine, etc. They've also recently added a patio that's a ton of fun! I highly suggest going to Fassler on a live music night, it's a great place to mingle and meet new people. I recently tried the food and was pleasantly surprised! I stopped in here because I was craving a good cold German beer and wanted to find a seat in front of a big screen TV that had the World Cup on it. This place fir the bill! It was a little annoying that about half of their beers were out of stock, but the ones they still had were still varied. I ordered a bratwurst that knocked my socks off. I think they make them in-house, and you can taste how incredibly fresh they are. It was topped with sauerkraut and delicious spicy mustard. I could eat those everyday! This place kicks ass! An amazing selection of German beers that you just don't find anywhere else. I had the Weihenstephan on the recommendation of the bartender, and she nailed it! Great brew. I had the brat, which was garnished with very authentic (and good) sauerkraut and an excellent spicy mustard. It came with fries fried in duck fat. All of it was great, and for a price that was quite low. I also had a pretzel that came with a wonderful cheese sauce. All the food was terrific! My bartender was super attentive, made great recommendations and offered several suggestions for other places in the area to try. They have several large screen televisions for sports viewing. They have live music some nights, and I suspect the place can get pretty crazy. I can't wait to return when I'm back in town. read more

Tulsa institution. 1/2 price brats on Mondays (yay!). Excellent beer selection. They have a "Falafel Dog" for those who are vegetarian- it's more like a falafel gyro (little falafel patties, not in the shape of a brat) but still very good. Great outdoor seating available. read more

Entered around 7pm. Had schnitzel sandwich which was decent. Well tenderized pork and good crisp. Brown mustard and swiss is pretty basic. Presentation is plain, no garnish, no side dishes. Even a 2-4oz complementary side of German potato salad or saurkraut would have been welcome at 10 dollars. Service was decent, first tender took drink orders but didn't clarify which hefeweizen I wanted so he assumed the more expensive draft instead of asking. Only a one dollar difference, but I actually had wanted the franzikaner bottle. After serving beer, he then walked off to some room about 10 feet behind bar. Since their food menu was so sparse, I was already ready to order. I just flagged down another tender. He was much more attentive and actually asked how the schnitzel was after it was served. Much better service from him. TL;DR Food was decent but overly priced with no garnish or sides included. Some tenders will not ask for order clarification so say exactly what you want or they will gouge you. read more

We were headed through Tulsa on a road trip, didn't have much time. I met one of the most original, authentic German beer gardens I've ever known, and I had to say goodbye far, far too quickly. Every time I go to Fassler Hall, one thing stands out in my mind: excellent live music, and a nice variety of music at that. I've had the privilege of seeing Panda Resistance, Mark Gibson/Ryan Magnani, and an excellent jazz group. Not being a big beer drinker, the Oktoberfest appeal doesn't get me, but I do consider Fassler to be one of the better music venues in town because they host such interesting and talented musicians. Elliott Nelson brings his version of a German Beer Hall to Tulsa. The place specializes in having German beers that can be bought in half liter or full liter glasses (pitchers?). When you order a beer, the bartender hits it with a specialized water sprayer and then your beer is poured. Price on the beer is varied with the average being $6 for a half liter. Liters costs on average $12. So no savings. Unless you want to feel cool by having to hold a giant glass stein, I'd suggest just buying the half liters. That way your arm doesn't get quite a work out and the beer doesn't get warm. Seating is at a premium but you are encouraged to sit at the wooden tables and benches with people you don't know. There's also sausages and pretzels to eat. I've heard good things about the duck fries, aka french fries fried in duck fat. Downsides to this venue are that it can get loud and crowded. And when its crowded its extremely hard to get a drink. The other problem I've noticed when its crowded is that they simply do not have enough glassware for the premium beers and its a shame when your beer is served in a warm, right out of the dishwasher, glass. read more

Brunch Only: This place. Holy German Cow. It was absolutely perfect. Loved the atmosphere in its entirety. Large beer selection but mostly German/European. The table set up was awesome too, large plantation picnic-y tables, allowing European seating if needed. The brunch menu was small, only two items, but they packed a punch. I got one of both, Breakfast Dog (sausage with egg and cheese on a roll) and Breakfast Taco (chorizo with egg and cheese in a tortilla) and neither disappointed. It could not have been a more perfect brunch for me. They also had a very well priced mimosa bar (only $4 for heavy hand of champagne and various juices) along with a Bloody Mary Bar, which looked like a few garnishes and various spices and hot sauces. And if you're not in the mood for breakfast, there are bratwursts, pretzels and duck fat fries to Hoover while watching She's All That on one of the 5 TVs. The bartenders are all fun and will even let you play whatever you want on the jukebox. Late night is also a ton of fun. It can get pretty crowded if My So Called Band is playing. But just don't go on those nights. There are plenty of great local acts to see on the Fassler stage. Thunder games are also great at Fassler. There's a projector so you won't miss IbakaDog get a swat. And after a win, there's thunderstruck, flag waving, and sparklers. A great time. read more
