Fassler Hall straddles a line between a punk club and a German beer hall. After meeting up with our friends who just made it into town, we headed out to Fassler Hall, a spot we had on our list of places to go. In one sense, Fassler Hall resembles a German beer hall - long tables with benches, simply appointed, On one side of the room is the bar, serving several German beers, by the liter or half-liter. Additionally, a chalkboard touts what sausages they have. On the other hand, Fassler Hall resembles a bit of a punk club - the floors are bare concrete, the whole space is a converted garage, complete with the floor-to-ceiling garage door. There is also a stage at one end, perfect for a band. Since the tables and benches aren't nailed down, it's probably pretty easy to clear the floor for a show. We got in, took over a table, went to the bar to order drinks (it's handily stenciled on each table that you go to the bar to order). Others in our group ordered beer, and Mrs. R. ordered a drink from the mimosa bar - effectively ordering a glass with sparkling wine, and then there are choices of several juices to top off for your own style of Mimosa. I had a half-liter of Warsteiner dunkel (dark) and also ordered a lamb-sausage. The sausage was rather good, though a bit of a make-it-a-treat price as it was $8 for a sausage on a bun with a few accoutrements, but no side or fries. Still good. We didn't stay terribly long, as we had an afternoon planned ahead of us, but I would be interested in visiting Fassler Hall sometime in the evening, especially if there was a music show playing. This is the seventh of a series of ~13 reviews about a weekend getaway in Tulsa. read more

Fassler Hall is one of my favorite bars attend with big groups. It's located in the heart of Downtown Tulsa and is spacious, has plenty of seating and while mainly serves beer, has a full bar it liquor, wine, etc. They've also recently added a patio that's a ton of fun! I highly suggest going to Fassler on a live music night, it's a great place to mingle and meet new people. I recently tried the food and was pleasantly surprised! Looooved the Schnitzel Sandwich and Duck Fries. read more

Fassler Hall - My bestie! - German Near Me - Tulsa, Oklahoma

Great spot for beers and sunshine. That's what it's for. Big steins of beer, mini hotdogs, and cornhole.

I stopped in here because I was craving a good cold German beer and wanted to find a seat in front of a big screen TV that had the World Cup on it. This place fir the bill! It was a little annoying that about half of their beers were out of stock, but the ones they still had were still varied. I ordered a bratwurst that knocked my socks off. I think they make them in-house, and you can taste how incredibly fresh they are. It was topped with sauerkraut and delicious spicy mustard. I could eat those everyday! One thing I loved about this place is the fact that you don't get a pint, you drink like the Germans do and get a choice of a half liter or a liter. Prost!! read more

It wasn't all that bad. I love German food! This is more bar than it is restaurant, and had I been looking for that, then I would've given this place a 4 star review. The burger I had was pretty good. Just a little over priced for what it was. read more

Fassler Hall has the best German food and drinks in Tulsa. I personally enjoy the duck fat fries and potato cakes. Fassler Hall is a great venue for large groups. I have been to a couple of different events here, and I think the indoor space lends itself well to a variety of crowds. I love hanging out in the outdoor space when the weather is nice. Fassler has a great brunch menu and mimosa bar. I think my favorite memory in Fassler Hall was watching the United States win the World Cup! read more

I moved out of Tulsa last year, so when I come back to town to visit I never know what the "popping" bar is. So when I found out Fassler was the new spot I had to check it out. The line was out he door when I got there. Luckily I made friends with the doorman & he let me in quickly. Kudos to him. They have a nice outdoor space with a bar & picnic seating. Then you walk inside to a huge open hall with a long bar, stage, and more picnic table seating. Their bar is very reasonably priced. I got a vodka & pineapple for $5. It was tasty but stiff enough that I knew I got my monies worth. It was a cool spot, but the thing is that there is a clear age limit. If you're 21-25 this is THE place to be on a Saturday night. If you're 25+ you will feel like the old guy in the bar. I'm 27. I felt old. Lol But if you want to go out & party with the young folks, Fassler is the place to be. read more

I was flying in to Tulsa for a very short stay, I ordered online and hoped my flight would not be delayed. I would be able to get there with just minutes to spare before Fassler would close. They did great job, having the food ready about 2 minutes after I arrived ( talk about great timing!) it was fresh and hot.. and yummy! I had the duck fat fries and a piece of the pretzel bread pudding..I wish I had ordered 2 of them they were sooo good. service was friendly. I will definitely go back if I'm in Tulsa again! read more

I went here on a Sunday afternoon for happy hour and it was as busy as a weekend night! I now know that they have a mimosa bar where you can buy a bottle of champagne and then choose your own juices to go with it. I will definitely be back for that. I always enjoy their cider selection and the fun and relaxed atmosphere. read more

Great communal feel with the large pub style tables and open area. Good beer selection and food options. It's good for large groups of people and has live music regularly, but expect to pay a $5 cover charge. read more

This place kicks ass! An amazing selection of German beers that you just don't find anywhere else. I had the Weihenstephan on the recommendation of the bartender, and she nailed it! Great brew. I had the brat, which was garnished with very authentic (and good) sauerkraut and an excellent spicy mustard. It came with fries fried in duck fat. All of it was great, and for a price that was quite low. I also had a pretzel that came with a wonderful cheese sauce. All the food was terrific! My bartender was super attentive, made great recommendations and offered several suggestions for other places in the area to try. They have several large screen televisions for sports viewing. They have live music some nights, and I suspect the place can get pretty crazy. I can't wait to return when I'm back in town. read more

Do not come here if you're from a different state. Came with two of my friends, we all had out-of-state DL's. They asked for our ID's, then told us they were keeping them with no explanation as to why. Staff was extremely rude and told us to leave immediately, getting angry when we asked for an explanation. We had to call the cops to get our ID's back, which they did, but by that point they had already peeled my VERY REAL ID apart, making it unusable. Will not be recommending to anyone. read more

I've just started coming here, cheap beer good food. I enjoy my time here. Bartenders seem kinda bothered when I asked for a beer but no worries, maybe they were having a bad time, all the time read more

Very loud atmosphere, would definitely only come back with a group, as it is not conducive for an intimate date. The beer hall style tables are cool but you might end up sharing with strangers. The meats used are locally purchased and the burger I had was excellent with a side of duck fat fries. Good beer selection and friendly bartenders. I would recommend coming for an adult birthday party. read more

I went to Fassler for the first time with a group of Friends last weekend, and we had a great time. Great burgers and schnitzel, although the chicken schnitzel was a little bit spicy for my taste. They had frozen black cherry limeades (alcoholic) and they were to die for! They had the Olympics playing without the rowdy feel of a sports bar, which was important for me. Overall, I will definitely return to Fassler Hall. read more

Get new bartenders !! Would not recommend going here if you value your money. Bathrooms were flooded all night, fights happening and security not checking bags. The staff was very unprofessional including the bartenders, very stuck up. This place is ghetto and staff is a bunch of THUGS. read more

This was the perfect ending to our anniversary weekend. We sat at the bar and ordered mimosas and breakfast burritos. I definitely recommend getting the bottle of champagne. He burritos were delicious. All of the staff were SO nice and friendly. It was refreshing to talk with them. In the past- we've had the breakfast tacos and bloody Mary's. I would also recommend. Tulsa institution. 1/2 price brats on Mondays (yay!). Excellent beer selection. They have a "Falafel Dog" for those who are vegetarian- it's more like a falafel gyro (little falafel patties, not in the shape of a brat) but still very good. Great outdoor seating available. read more

I was a little skeptical about this place and the authentic German beer. But it was awesome beer from Munich Germany and hand made pretzels.

Ok so great beer, great German food. They make their own sausages in house. Very casual crowd with young hipsters to business people looking for a good spot to let the day end. Nice spot outside to enjoy the Spring air. One of my favorite spots in Tulsa. I went again and had the duck fries. Ok these things are addictive especially if you add chili and cheese on them. It's a meal in its self. read more

Awesome brats, pretzels, and beer selection. Easy to find and good bar stop downtown!

I love this place because it's unique. They have good duck fat fries, sausages, schnitzel, and beers. Some of the other food is just ok but people definitely come for brats. The potato pancakes aren't my favorite. But this place is just too cool to not Ike it. And the mimosas on the weekends are great!!!!! read more

Bartender outside literally said "I make drinks my way." I ordered Tito's and soda, and she gave me club soda for $7.

Totally impressed with this place. Sausage sampler was a hit! Lamb was excellent! Love the kraut and mustard dipping sauce. Free duck fries during afternoon happy hour week days! I'm in! Will be back read more

On Monday's their homemade sausages are half-price! Let me tell you, their sausages are so big you'll blush. They're so many crass jokes to be made but I'll spare you. The sausages are really good and their duck fat fries are amazingly delectable! This has become a Monday staple for us! If you love German sausage you'll love Fassler Hall! read more

Entered around 7pm. Had schnitzel sandwich which was decent. Well tenderized pork and good crisp. Brown mustard and swiss is pretty basic. Presentation is plain, no garnish, no side dishes. Even a 2-4oz complementary side of German potato salad or saurkraut would have been welcome at 10 dollars. Service was decent, first tender took drink orders but didn't clarify which hefeweizen I wanted so he assumed the more expensive draft instead of asking. Only a one dollar difference, but I actually had wanted the franzikaner bottle. After serving beer, he then walked off to some room about 10 feet behind bar. Since their food menu was so sparse, I was already ready to order. I just flagged down another tender. He was much more attentive and actually asked how the schnitzel was after it was served. Much better service from him. TL;DR Food was decent but overly priced with no garnish or sides included. Some tenders will not ask for order clarification so say exactly what you want or they will gouge you. read more

You've been sitting in your seat the entire flight, trying to keep to your bidness, ignoring that person sitting next to you 'cuz from the moment they sat down they seemed a little, well, too interested. Looking over at you. Peepin' your stuff. And alls you wanted was to be left alone. And now the end has come, you're almost at the gate, so you engage them. Where ya goin', you ask. What brings you here? Suddenly, you've met one of the most fascinating people you've ever encountered, and you have five minutes to get to know them. I had one beer at Fassler Hall with my dad. We were headed through Tulsa on a road trip, didn't have much time. I met one of the most original, authentic German beer gardens I've ever known, and I had to say goodbye far, far too quickly. Luckily, this place ain't goin' anywhere, so I plan to be back to intimately engage with their extensive menu and taps. I have a feeling another star is on its way. read more

Fassler is like a year round Oktoberfest. I love it!! Great beer selection and helpful bartenders. I love the duck fries and the pretzels. There are also some great bands that play here, so if you don't know why you're paying cover on a particular night, it's probably because the band is really good. I've heard tell that there is amazing brunch here. This is next on my list of brunch places. Can't wait! read more

Fassler Hall's one of the best bars downtown for great beer, music and food. You can always expect a large selection of German beers on tap and a fully stocked bar to help quench your thirst and on most weekends a local band gracing the stage. Along with been a great destination to catch a Thunder game Fassler is a delicious option for a casual lunch or dinner! If you're a fan of heat, don't miss out on the Housemade jalapeño chicken sausage with a side of duck fat fries! The level of heat perfectly balances heat without substituting flavor. Other favorites are the lamb sausage, chicken schnitzel sandwich and pretty much their whole brunch. YES, they have brunch!!! And their brunch is not complete without indulging in their make-your-own mimosa bar and a seat on their incredible new patio. Oklahomans love their patios and theirs is quickly become one of the best! PROST! read more

Elliott Nelson brings his version of a German Beer Hall to Tulsa. The place specializes in having German beers that can be bought in half liter or full liter glasses (pitchers?). When you order a beer, the bartender hits it with a specialized water sprayer and then your beer is poured. Price on the beer is varied with the average being $6 for a half liter. Liters costs on average $12. So no savings. Unless you want to feel cool by having to hold a giant glass stein, I'd suggest just buying the half liters. That way your arm doesn't get quite a work out and the beer doesn't get warm. Seating is at a premium but you are encouraged to sit at the wooden tables and benches with people you don't know. There's also sausages and pretzels to eat. I've heard good things about the duck fries, aka french fries fried in duck fat. Downsides to this venue are that it can get loud and crowded. And when its crowded its extremely hard to get a drink. The other problem I've noticed when its crowded is that they simply do not have enough glassware for the premium beers and its a shame when your beer is served in a warm, right out of the dishwasher, glass. read more

Brunch Only: This place. Holy German Cow. It was absolutely perfect. Loved the atmosphere in its entirety. Large beer selection but mostly German/European. The table set up was awesome too, large plantation picnic-y tables, allowing European seating if needed. The brunch menu was small, only two items, but they packed a punch. I got one of both, Breakfast Dog (sausage with egg and cheese on a roll) and Breakfast Taco (chorizo with egg and cheese in a tortilla) and neither disappointed. It could not have been a more perfect brunch for me. They also had a very well priced mimosa bar (only $4 for heavy hand of champagne and various juices) along with a Bloody Mary Bar, which looked like a few garnishes and various spices and hot sauces. Everything was very simply but done very well. Only one bartender on this past Sunday and service was still very efficient - order at bar, wait at table, help yourself to mimosa and Bloody Mary bar. read more

Fassler Hall - Brunch menu consists of breakfast tacos and "breakfast dogs." In heaven. - German Near Me - Tulsa, Oklahoma

Every time I go to Fassler Hall, one thing stands out in my mind: excellent live music, and a nice variety of music at that. I've had the privilege of seeing Panda Resistance, Mark Gibson/Ryan Magnani, and an excellent jazz group. Not being a big beer drinker, the Oktoberfest appeal doesn't get me, but I do consider Fassler to be one of the better music venues in town because they host such interesting and talented musicians. The open-air atmosphere is incredible, and the social experience you will have is worth the cover charge that you will pay. Thanks, Fassler, for promoting homegrown Tulsa music! read more

German food with Tulsa pizzazz. Fassler Hall is where I go for brunch every chance I get. The Sriracha chicken biscuit, chicken & waffles, or even a breakfast dog all go perfect with a nice Mimosa. And if you're not in the mood for breakfast, there are bratwursts, pretzels and duck fat fries to Hoover while watching She's All That on one of the 5 TVs. The bartenders are all fun and will even let you play whatever you want on the jukebox. Late night is also a ton of fun. It can get pretty crowded if My So Called Band is playing. But just don't go on those nights. There are plenty of great local acts to see on the Fassler stage. Thunder games are also great at Fassler. There's a projector so you won't miss IbakaDog get a swat. And after a win, there's thunderstruck, flag waving, and sparklers. A great time. read more

Have I died and gone to Heaven? Yes. Do I secretly wish I lived in this German beer hall? Double Yes. Really I do wish I could live here. Fun, open, nice wooden tables, pretty old world looking bar with delicious & thrilling draft beer selection. Food is incredible. Pissed I can't try everything on the menu as it all sounds good, I settle for the lamb sausage Greek pita. Holy smokes the sausage is exquisite and I savor every bite of that and the warm thick homemade tasting pita. Amazing. Sampling the venison and spaten optimator brats. All great. I must try the schnitzel sandwich or kraut burger next time or that fried chicken egg thing looks like it could complete my existence. read more

What a unique place! Fassler Hall is a big open room with giant wooden tables and rustic atmosphere...quite perfect for socializing though it can be very loud and rowdy when they get a big crowd. It also has bar seating. The beer menu is good with lots of German beer, regular beer, and I do love the Big Sky IPA on draft...this may be the only place in town that has it. Sometimes they have very few bartenders trying to serve a lot of people so you just have to bully someone to get you a beer. The menu has an assortment of housemade sausages, pretzels imported from Germany, and wonderful duck fat fries. We really enjoyed the bratwurst and Chicago style hot dog. Lamb sausage was ok, very mild in flavor. Check out their menu at www.fasslerhall.com or follow them on Facebook for the latest updates. read more
