Not knowing where to go, I tried Hughes Computer Services. I've worked with Janet, Al and Charles over the past week. My computer was really messed up and wasn't backing up to my external drive, even though it said it was. They restored my laptop and my key files. Not all my files were recoverable--I'm confident they would have recovered them if they could. They spent hours on my computer and on recovery efforts and kept me updated through the process. I'm impressed by their expertise, communication and customer service. And, I learned not to trust one back up option. I'll be using two different back-up methods going forward.

Baloney sticks and Jelly beans! My husband had to hide the alcohol. I sent my drive to these guys, and they nailed it. So, what is your sanity worth? I would have given them five stars and yet the price on my salary was steep so that is why 4-stars. However, having said that...it was worth it. Everything was tracked, excellent communication about the status of the drive and the holy grail of my data. I might do a slower time frame next time. OH WAIT! THERE WILL NEVER BE A NEXT TIME! I was afraid this was a scam. My husband drove the bad-bad drive to Spokane, Washington and made sure the store front in the online ad was a real place. Yes, it is. The store front is real, and they sent my bad-bad drive to the Chicago where they could do the work overnight. The alcohol is back, and I can celebrate tonight...all is well in the world.
