Fasika cafe has a special place in my heart and always will. Being it's where I had my first Ethiopian food experience. I must admit this restaurant is either a huge hit or a slight miss. The staff are kind people and can be welcoming at times. The ambiance is decked with Ethiopian art on the walls and tables. If your looking for fancy , go else where, if your looking for an authentic experience with some good food this is the spot

so cozy and cute. amazing Ethiopian food. i looooove injera because i can only eat gluten in small increments and its so hard to get a yummy bread without repetition. i highly recommend this shop. the lamb was so tender. the host was very sweet and welcoming, and patient with my friend who had never been to nubian square. will be back.

First time ever trying Ethiopian food and it was DELICIOUS. My friend and I ordered chicken and the 4 veggie plate. It was more than enough for both of us and we got to take the leftovers home! It's a small cafe, but the service is quick and friendly. I would definitely come back and I highly recommend!

Soooo delicious. We got it for takeout so can't speak to the ambiance inside but the food was amazing.

100/10... my favorite Ethiopian restaurant in town!…read more I'm so glad that they exist in the area. Here and there I craved Ethiopian food and having it near to our hotel is such a treat! Came here for an early dinner and we were greeted happily. Our server Suryakala is so patient with us while we have some questions about their menu. The ambiance is pretty calm and the indoor dining is clean. Combo 2 (Beef, mild) - comes with four veggies kik alecha (yellow splitpeas, tikle gomen (cabbage & carrots), spinach cook with potatoes, & shirowot (Ethiopian style ground chickpeas stew) - so ONOOOOOOOOOOO! Everything was cooked fresh and the injera? Omg, to d*e for! So so good! I'm still dreaming about it while writing this review! When you're in town you definitely don't want to miss it! It is da most rewarding feeling when you try their food! It's savory and tasty at the same time bot too heavy for your stomach. Highly recommended! Mahalo for reading and happy juandering fellow Yeeps!

I love it because it actually is like a cafe, just with a full service menu. There were people doing work or having a quiet meal to themselves. (I went on the evening of Marathon Monday). My sister and I ordered the meat veggie combo for 2, where you get 1 meat entree and four veggie sides of your choice. We got the lega tibs, tikil gomen, shiro wot, misir wot, and kik alicha. We were quite hungry so we cleared the entire thing. It was a perfect portion for two! The injera is soft and the proportion was perfect. I would love to come back for a meal or to even grab a quick lunch! Or to study and eat at the same time ...

First time trying Ethiopian and let me start by saying it was delicious. This place has street…read moreparking and is a little dark inside but you can choose where you want to sit. It has smaller tables so better to go with just 1-3 other people. We got the Sega Bebaynatu Meat Combo, we didn't realize the portion of this and was recommended getting 2. Kind of a mistake especially since my friend couldn't eat all the meat. It was huge, there were only of us but it came out on a huge platter. You can definitely share the one portion. The food is also pretty heavy so I got full faster especially since they give you a plate of Bread and it is also underneath all the food. The lentils was probably my favorite it balanced out the rest of the flavors and this dish was absolutely full of the flavor. If you like spicy and sour this is for you. And if you really like sour, the salad has the perfect dressing. I did ask for a little more salad, but it is an extra cost so keep that in mind. There was only one worker and i think kitchen staff so service is a little slow. It is hard to get their attention so keep that in mind.

Asmara is located on the busy Mass Ave, there is street parking available. The restaurant is…read morerelatively small and is decorated with Ethiopian decor. We came here on a Friday night and the restaurant was full and there was only one server. The waitress was nice, but clearly overwhelmed and it took a while for her to take our order and get the check. The food itself was good and fresh. We got the chicken, lamb, and vegetable combo. It came on a big plate with lots of food. The food was served on top of two layers of injera and she gave us a plate with additional injera. We ran out and it was hard to flag her down to ask for me. It turns out to be $3 per additional piece fyi. Overall, I would say it's the best Ethiopian food I've had, but they should have at least two servers on the weekends.
