It is a ladies' clothing consignment and miscellany store for people of a very specific vintage and eclectic taste. The woman who owns the store has done an amazing job of selecting beautiful items and pricing them perfectly for the Anchorage market. My only complaint is that sizing is fairly limited, but this is to be expected if your short/tall or on the far end of sizing in either direction. They also have and unusual, beautiful bags, hats, and other accessories. They have a few random items such as art and vintage glassware as well.

Once again, summertime is here and that means garage sales citywide for anyone looking for bargains at a fraction of the cost by regular retailers or treasure-hunting for a rare, hard-to-find item just sitting in someone's attic or storage room. I look forward to these events every weekend just to take advantage of the warm, sunny weather and of course, the thrill of the hunt for that rare vinyl record hidden in a stack of milk crates or cardboard boxes. I find that the shopping experience is a lot more laid-back when meeting the people holding the garage sales despite the fact that you may not find what you need or want from time to time. Some are decent families who go out of their way to welcome visitors by having their kids make fresh lemonade or homemade cookies for only 25 cents making it that much more enjoyable personally. As far as items go, anything can be found that could be worth more than what the asking price is. Clothing, furniture, antiques, household goods, electronics, books, tools, sporting goods, and DVDs among others are some good finds that are still like new or never been used. When shopping for vinyl records, I save as much as $10 or $20 on a stack that can also be negotiable for a lower price as the weekend draws to a close. Certain garage sales will do this on every single item for as much as 50 to 75% off after 2PM on Sundays. In certain cases, you may be lucky to get that item for free rather than the sellers wanting to put it back in storage. Some good resources to find a garage sale close to you or one that carries a particular item you're looking for are the classifieds on the Anchorage Daily News's website, Craiglist, or Marketplace on Facebook. This is one of the more enjoyable weekend activities you can take advantage of outside instead of going to the mall or watching a movie in the theater during the middle of the day.

Mostly furniture, DIY materials and stuff people hand make, crafts, clothes, dishes, Alaska stuff, jewelry. Etc. random stuff. Things I have bought: a car trash bag, dryer balls, laundry detergent strips, sticker, I forget what else really. They have a small kids area with toys and clothes, women's clothes upstairs, a few rooms with dishes, an Alaskan section, a reusable item section, a craft room, and space for volunteers to repurpose stuff before they sell it. They also do craft classes here but I'd check the website for up to date info. They also have a cafe now that rotates who is cooking. I have never seen the coffee bar operational they have nobody that runs it. I dont know if the lady working in Remade would make you a coffee or not if you asked.
