When you shop at a boutique, you expect that higher prices mean you're getting something more unique, higher quality, or thoughtfully sourced. Instead, They're reselling mass market items at a 100% markup while presenting them as boutique finds. I think it's wrong to take advantage of customers this way, especially when you're shopping with the expectation that you're paying more for something special or unique. I went inside to ask the manager for assistance, but instead she said it was one of the employee's and that the spot where we parked was "employee parking". The old man employee who blocked us in said we were parked in his spot, that he PURPOSELY blocked us in due to this, and he even acknowledged that there is no signage to mark these spots! He was acting as though we were just supposed to know that it was employee parking. Yet he was still very rude and would refuse to acknowledge he had down anything wrong. They seemed unapproachable and perturbed to say the least and I've always been nothing but kind and respectful. Vraies vieilles grincheuses et rabat-joie. There were several locked cabinets throughout the store, which I needed assistance with. Each time, including the first, I was met with some agitation, as though they were annoyed. How dare I, ask them for assistance, right? Keep in mind, I purchased something from each cabinet by the way. Treating a long-time customer or a PAYING customer, yet alone ANY customer this way is simply unacceptable. As a fellow business owner, I would be deeply ashamed of such poor customer service. I nearly walked out of the store due to the disrespect, but I felt it would be disrespectful with all the items I had set behind the counter to purchase and don't want to stoop to others' levels. I hope those of you I dealt with can do better. Regrettably, my perception of this store has been somewhat tainted. There are a ton of stuff in here you might need 30+ minutes if you're really looking. They have an array of items you can by. Mostly furniture, DIY materials and stuff people hand make, crafts, clothes, dishes, Alaska stuff, jewelry. Etc. random stuff. Things I have bought: a car trash bag, dryer balls, laundry detergent strips, sticker, I forget what else really. They have a small kids area with toys and clothes, women's clothes upstairs, a few rooms with dishes, an Alaskan section, a reusable item section, a craft room, and space for volunteers to repurpose stuff before they sell it. They also do craft classes here but I'd check the website for up to date info. They also have a cafe now that rotates who is cooking. I have never seen the coffee bar operational they have nobody that runs it. I dont know if the lady working in Remade would make you a coffee or not if you asked. They are located between Huffman and de Armond road on old Seward. Usually open 11-5 and closed sundays.

I had been here years ago. It's basically a non profit thrift store with a twist as they have a workshop in the back that they make items and repurpose hence the name re:Made. Hollea, when I arrived showed me more minerals she had received from a donated estate and I took pics to show Judy and we researched and through texts we negotiated and I came back next day to purchase several more. They have glassware, paintings, posters, jewelry, books, lots of thrifty items. Everyone that works there is a volunteer and everyone is very friendly. Check them out.
