On the 28th I contacted customer support and they said the gun had arrived but wasn't ready to be picked up yet. My trip to Anchorage came and went. While there I stopped by the store but they said I couldn't pick it up yet... OK... Fine. I don't know when I'll be back to Anchorage, but whatever. Finally I got a notice on September 4th (11 days later than advertised) that my gun was ready for pickup. Well now I couldn't get to Anchorage for a bit. Should be fine right? They delayed me so they should be able to handle a delay from my end. I can't make it to Anchorage on the regular. I went to Anchorage today October 4th, to finally get my gun. I had multiple emails (the last from September 29th) saying my gun was ready for pickup. I go into the store and they couldn't find it. Then they told me that the order had automatically been cancelled because I didn't pick it up in time. They said I should have been automatically refunded. I hadn't. I also hadn't received any notice about this. I got a little heated and they threatened to kick me out of the store. Fine. I calmed down. I asked if the gun was there today. They said it was. I asked if I could buy it at the same price that I ordered it for (I ordered it on sale). They said they could not honor that. I walked out. I just got home from Anchorage and I double-checked my credit card and I still have not received a refund. They will be getting a charge-back from me as they have essentially ROBBED me at this point beyond wasting my time and being completely unhelpful in any way whatsoever. THIS STORE HAS THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER ENCOUNTERED AND I WILL NEVER SHOP HERE AGAIN.

Excellent selection of workwear for women, plenty of Carhartt's and Dovetail clothes with sizes from 0-24 that I was able to see. A helpful gentleman mentioned that if my size wasn't on the rack, they'd be happy to check a small supply in the back and also their downtown store. That's was great to know, since I forgot about the downtown location. They have a couple of dressing rooms for trying on items prior to purchase. Today, two weeks later I went to return the size 11 boots that don't fit., that have never been worn outside, and was told that I've been banned from returns. I didn't receive any emails about this, I searched my email and my spam and deleted folders, nor did I receive any snail mail. I've been a member since 2008 and have spent over $40,000 at REI over the years, I guess that doesn't count for anything. For outdoor gear, I recommend shopping local and going to AMH. (Alaska, mountaineering and hiking.) Update: now every time I buy something from REI a manager has to come up and tell me about what a bad consumer I am before I'm allowed to buy something from them.

I scheduled an appointment to look at my treadmill…read morein July, 2023 and an employee came to my home to look at it and determined it needed a walking belt and drive belt. I gave him my credit card information and he ordered the two belts for me. When the belts arrived in August, 2023 he scheduled an appointment to install them. Just prior to the appointment, he called and said he had something come up and needed to reschedule. I said that was fine because I am flexible and the treadmill is currently working so we left it that and he would call me to reschedule at a later date. He never called me back and my treadmill continued to work so I did not actively pursue an appointment. Just recently, in April, 2024 I called the employee's cell phone number that I dealt with and left a message. He never responded so I called the main number for Alaska Home Fitness and explained that they never followed through with my appointment. The person that answered my call at Alaska Home Fitness acknowledged our previous transaction and scheduled me for an installation of the belts I purchased for 4/25/24 at 2:30. They never showed up. I gave them a call at 2:44 and asked if they were coming. The employee that answered the phone said his boss took his tools so he was running late and would be at my house between 2:45 and 3:00 . No courtesy call that he was on his way or running late, it took me to call him that he was even coming. I have never had a business not call me to confirm when they are on their way, this one did not. He showed up at 3:02 and didn't know what he was showing up to do. Unfortunately, I was picking up my son from school so my wife was the point of contact. She texted me that the employee did not know what he was at our home to do. My response was was: #$$%%@#?. He was at our home to replace the 2 belts I paid for many months ago and I had spoke with the employee who acknowledge the mistake. The employee that showed up said his boss never told him what to do and he would have to get back to the warehouse and look for the belts and call my wife back within the hour. He called back an hour and 22 minutes later and said he found one of the belts and would come over and install it. He showed up at 5:02 p:m and started the installation. He started installing the walking belt at 5:02 and never mentioned he could not find the drive belt that I paid for. About an hour and 15 minutes into the install I began to wonder what was going on because this was a simple walking belt replacement. The employee said it was a a tight space so it was causing him problems. It took me 30 seconds and I moved the treadmill into an open space. 45 minutes later (2 hours after he showed up for the 2nd time to replace a simple walking belt he came down the stairs and said the treadmill belt did not fit). At that point I calmly called him out for the whole circumstances and he just stared me down with dirty looks. I asked for his supervisor and he gave me the number to his supervisor. Turns out, his supervisor is the owner of the business, Alaska Home Fitness Equipment. Stay away from it at all costs. The guy called me back and said he was the owner, informed me that my treadmill was a piece of shit brand (Free-motion) and berated me for talking bad about his 19 year old employee. He asked me how old I was and told me it was weird that I would talk about not wanting a 19 year old to come back and fix the treadmill (I had told him I wanted someone competent to fix the treadmill, not someone who cannot even call me to confirm an appointment or measure a belt prior to 2 hours into the second trip to my home). He called me a tuff guy and said his only technician is the 19 year old and if I did not agree he was not going to fix my treadmill. I said I did not agree and he hung up on me. As a result, I have a treadmill that was actually in working order that I paid for 2 belts that is sitting in the middle of my exercise room with both belts removed that is now useless. Alaska Home Fitness is a business thtat you should run and hide from. I have never written a review for a business in my life prior to this one. I will be pursuing legal action against this business on principle alone, the couple of hundred dollars I am out so far means nothing compared to saving others from dealing with these crooks. Correction (THIS CROOK) , the owner of this business is a crook.
