Interesting spot, kind of a hip vintage/thrift store mixed with a yard sale. Ambiance feels like a rustic barn that you'd go to a wedding at more than any store. They occasionally have a food truck on site. If you're into burly, bulky, heavy, old-school goods...I'd definitely give these folks a shot!

What a fun and fanciful place! All the repurposing and vintage stuff around. How lovely. I love the fact that they have classes and a cafe with Guest Chef's. What a community minded place! GO THERE! :)

Checking out the vinyl section thanks to fellow Yelper Ethan!

I made some time earlier this afternoon to spend an hour or so during the Monday holiday to look through their vinyl records after stopping by briefly a couple of times after work. Anchorage re:MADE is a large two-story structure filled with antiques and memorabilia, mostly furniture pieces for the living room and around the house. There are many beautiful novelty items and collectibles to decorate the house, but my review is focused mainly on their vinyl section and what was available to me during my visit there. The employees are very friendly and easy to have a conversation with on the items they sell. They encourage you to browse at your own pace without feeling rushed or followed. The vinyl section had several chairs around the shelf to relax and take your time while carefully going through the LPs. I found an impressive variety of hard-to-find LPs which made for good additions to my growing vinyl library. Several of these consisted of jazz standards from the 1970's, classical music pieces from the Baroque Era (1600-1700's), and a couple of pop albums from the 1980's which are shown in the pics posted. The sale for vinyl is posted on top of the shelves. The first five albums are $5 apiece and $2 each afterwards. The sweet part, and the major thrift store chains aren't able to do this, was getting a considerable discount at the register regardless of what the sale sign said. My first purchase a couple of weeks was at $38, down from the original sale price of $53! Today I ended up spending only $24 for a stack of vinyl that was supposed to be $39. What an awesome deal for the amount of merchandise I found! Here is the part where I decided to stay at four stars rather than awarding them five stars for a fun shopping experience. Some of the albums on several of the shelves had a considerable amount of records missing inside the sleeve and this included some I wanted to purchase. Another issue was the condition of a few of the records, some of which were badly scratched and should've been put aside to keep unwitting customers from buying if they forgot to look inside the covers. The biggest heartbreak was an original pressing of Elvis Presley's Blue Hawaii LP which sustained damage on one side of the LP. An original pressing in mint condition with the sleeve and cover intact can fetch over $100 by collectors. Hopefully they can make the time to put aside the damaged or missing records on their shelves. Aside from that, this is a fun place to find some choice LPs if you look hard enough.

    Very pleased!

I am in Alaska for vacation and since most of my vacations incorporate some thrifting/antiquing…read moreshopping I decided to Yelp some nearby locations. This store popped up and we decided to stop by. FYI there is a coffee/soda shop next door (another review for that place also done). This store was in a plaza, plenty of parking spots. At first entrance once inside, it looks tiny and the way things are set up, I was thinking that prices were going to be expensive. Don't be fooled, it may look small but there are a lot of great finds. This particular store is focused on women clothing, accessories and some home knick knacks. There is also another FashionPact that is HUGE and has kids and mens clothing, books, home goods, etc... But back to this location...everything is organized by sizes, they are inclusive and also have a plus section. FashionPact has a section by the front door that features items that they have posted on their social media accounts. If you fell in love with the item, you can come into the store and purchase or also they can ship the item to you. Check out their accounts to get details. At first, you think this is like all other thrift stores but two cool things that make their store stand out. They have dynamic pricing. You see the price of the item listed at the top of the tag, then if the item is not sold by the date listed, the price is reduced. If the item is still not sold, then the third price listed is the final purchase price. Such a simple concept, but it made me realize that their purpose is to sell merchandise and leave space available for new donations. Plus, in selling then money could be donated which brings me to the second cool thing about this store. As a buyer, you can pick which local organization gets a percentage of your total purchase. If you donate clothes, you also get to choose. Shopping and choosing where to donate makes you feel good. They have a screen at the top of the register that shows the local organizations, but if you want to know more about the groups, they have an iPad next to the register so you can read more about the groups. They have the organizations divided by categories such as, animals, arts, education, etc. There are so many choices and all groups are local! How awesome is this! If you are not too busy shopping, all throughout the store, you can spot the thank you cards/letters/drawings from these organizations for the donations. I went twice, back to back to this location and got so many good deals. Scratch that, steals. Good clothing and accessories for under $10, but most were under $5. My brag from this store was a Columbia pink fleece zip up jacket with tags for $5, wow!!!!!! The other items that I also purchased were used but in excellent condition or with tags. The sales associate was sorting through donations and when I came back the next day, there was a lot of new items in my size section. SOOOOOOO sad that there is not a store like this in the Bay Area. I did tell them they should open one up and they said that they have friends in SF that have told them the same thing. Sadly, rent would be a killer around here. Staff was so nice. I know this place is not touristy but for sure this is a dream store for any thrift store lover. I joked that I could come to Anchorage with an empty luggage and challenge my self to only use clothes bought from any of the FashionPact locations. If you live in the area, lucky you. Stop and donate or shop, you will be helping the local community.

**July 2024: Saturday Afternoon Visit**…read more I almost don't want to review so that I can keep this gem all to myself; however the mission of this thrift shop is so heart warming that it would be a crime not to share. It's a nice boutique and everything is sorted by garment type and size. There is a fitting room for patrons to try on outfits and good music to keep you in a good mood. Pricing is very fair and there's two prices listed on each tag. After a certain date the price cuts to half. On my visit my mom and I were able to snag a couple of half priced items and two full priced ones, which was still a steal. My coat was $10, blouse $5, and I think my mom got two wrap dresses, and a blazer with everything being under $50. Now if that doesn't make you feel great the proceeds go towards a charity in Alaska and you can pick which one your purchases goes towards. We chose the zoo and hope everyone will go support this little shop when visiting Anchorage.
