Ive been to some of the other Fashion Nail locations, and I always gravitate back to Wallington. I find this place the most comfortable for me, with the best technicians! I was so afraid when my girl informed me she was going on vacation. When I went back, I was given an available tech. He did a wonderful, thorough job! I find this place is clean, the tools are sterile, and the techs are pretty talented, so you can get pretty much whatever you like on your nails! Even a masseuse is available at $10 for 11 min! He's got magical hands- trust me! The only problem I've ever had is sitting for my pedicure, and having to wait quite a while because they're just wasn't enough techs to cover the amount of clients! It's a busy salon, but they have by far THE best color selection, regular, gel, and colored dipping powder, Cat's eye (with the magnet), and offer all kinds of designs. If you have a specific design, just show them a picture. Plus, they also offer a neck and shoulder massage for $10 per 10 minutes.....the guy that does it is really good. Their spa pedi's are awesome. They have several options ranging from $48-98, I suggest at least once in your life to get the $98 one. It's amazing. RUDE RUDE RUDE!!!! 0 stars. I will never be coming back again. I'm a black woman as well as a small social media influencer, and I feel as if this young lady's behavior was targeted towards my race. The young lady with the glasses and the reindeer pinned to her chest with the bracelet on her left arm was EXTREMELY rude. She kept pushing my hand down aggressively and twisting my hand and kept sighing for I don't know what reason. Then, she had so much dust from the previous acrylic on my hands and I gently brushed it down because it was irritating me and she rapidly leaned back dramatically like I was going to put the dust in her face which ticked me off. (She was wearing a mask/glasses so this "gesture" wasn't necessary ) 30 minutes later I went to check if the first nail that she did matched my uggs and she said "you keep moving" and I was telling her I wanted to make sure the nails match before she does my nails and I end up not liking them. She kept yanking my arm and she kept negatively commentating on every little thing I did. I'm a Christian, and out of the kindness of my heart I chose to tip because honestly, I really wasn't going to give her anything. She didn't deserve a dime after she was rude to me and how she handled my hands for the duration of my experience there. She snatched the money as I gave her it AND DIDNT SAY THANK YOU!!!! and now I regret tipping her AT ALL! I pray for her and I pray that this evil negative energy and behavior leaves her spirit and that she genuinely finds happiness again . Projecting how you feel on the inside to customers who just come to get their nails done is NOT THE WAY TO DO IT. Get another job if that's how you're going to act towards innocent customers. I love the HUGE selection of UV gel colors and special polishes that I was surprised to find lacking at other local salons. Icey does my nails, and she does beautiful meticulous work. I love this place. I used to only be the type to go to a nail salon that's in town, but I'll go out of my way for this place. It's clean and they take their time with you. I appreciate the timer they use for the massage they give you during the pedicure. I usually go for basic colors so no crazy designs but they do a good job with the cleaning of manicures and pedicures. I would come here all the time to get a gel pedicure, and I would absolutely love it. This was always my go to spot. But recently they have been horrible! I don't know if it is their products or if it's the people working there. I was going on a long vacation so I got them done on a Monday, left on a Thursday, and by Friday almost all of my polish was off! Mind you it was a gel pedicure. They aren't like the salons I've been to that rush you out the door, they really take their time and make sure you love your set and honestly you're gonna love it at the end I've never had to say some thing they know exactly what they're doing very professional. This my second coming here and I've had great experience. The first time was right before covid I loved it. I did gel mani and regular pedi. And yesterday I went with the new procedure I loved it even more. When you walk in you sanitize yourself then the workers come and sanitize your shoes and puts plastic gloves on you when you pick the color then they sit you in a massage chair until is your turn. I NEVER leave bad reviews, but this deserved an exception. After frustration with long waits at several nail salons in the area, I decided to give this place a chance for a pedicure. I called to make an appointment and still waited about 30 minutes to be helped past my appointment time. They did a decent job, so I decided to give them another shot for a UV gel fill in and made a second appointment. At my second appointment, I showed up 5 minutes early, waited 40 minutes past my appointment time, and watched the owner/manager help six different people that all walked in after me. At the 45 minute mark, I calmly approached the owner/manager about the unacceptable wait and service, and instead of apologizing, she gave me a nasty look and walked away. As a side note, I watched owner/manager treat several other customers in a similar manner. Do not go to this establishment unless you want to waste your free time and be treated like a less than human being. I gave it 1 star simply to choose an option, but I'd give it 0 stars if I could. read more

The salon is huge, I think I counted 16 high end pedicure chairs. After selecting my color fran turned on my chair massage and went to work. I appreciated that they use a disposable liner. I brought a book with me, she respected that I was not looking to chat. During my manicure we chatted about her life in queens, and learning English. Been coming here for a year or so, In April 2023, I got a gel mani & regular pedi $53 cash, great price BUT....talk about a rush, 32 minutes & I was told all done.I asked for his name, he stated he didn't understand, he was a heavy set Asian male. My nails chipped in a few days, I did no manual labor. I decided to give this salon another chance, my mistake. This time my tech wore a name tag, took her time with pedi, I relaxed in massage chair & she did the mani, 2 coats of color, I chose matching nude/pink color, I again paid $53 cash, BUT when I walked out the door in sunlight, I look down on my pedi nail polish has streaks & spots, (hmm.. is the salon watering down their polish with acetone?! ) immediately went back in to lady at desk & explained & she saw the streaks & spots & she walked me over to the tech that did my nails ( who now is working on another clients pedi) & the tech loudly says " WHAT DID YOU DO". Really !! I said "there's streaks & spots". Lol, I couldn't have done anything to make that happen, cheap polish ?! So the lady at the desk quickly redid only 2 toes. Btw, the toes had uneven cuts and not filed down smoothly. Too many nail salons in this area to keep coming back. They lost a regular customer & word of mouth goes a long way. read more

I work nearby to this nail salon and had been waiting a few months for it to open up. I came by on their first day where they were offering 50% off services, which was amazing! The salon is gigantic, beautiful, and clean. I noticed for someone else's pedicure, they used plastic wrap over the foot bath, to prevent cross-contamination between clients. He never cleaned out under the nails. I paid 38.00 for a spa experience. Wasn't worth it. The massage was 15 minutes, but it felt like he was just rubbing lotion into my legs. I asked for him to use more pressure and he laughed. The girl next to me sat down and her pedicure was over in 10 minutes. Mine took an hour and not in a good way. Everything took too long, and I didn't receive things that are normally done in a pedicure. The place is new and very clean but the service certainly wasn't worth the price. read more

I tried this place and to simply get an acrylic fill-in medium pink I pay $28 I came here and the price was $40 which is fine. I went to go get started and the young man said it's $15 extra for the color pink acrylic meaning it would cost me 40.00 PLUS 15.00 totaling 55,00 for a simple filling acrylic pink with clear top coat . (The other ladies doing nails were all talking to him and I'm pretty sure they were talking about me and telling him to charge me more. Training him to start finding ways to charge people more I guess. I thought maybe he simply didn't understand so I spoke to the manager and she wasn't responsible or helpful saying that it's simply impossible that I pay 28.00 for pink acrylic with clear top coat. (Proof is attached below at my Maywood Nail Salon). Again I wouldn't have cared if it was 40.Meanwhile at this place my friend got acrylic fill- in , plus 2 coats of colored gel and one clear top for 40.00. Makes no sense snd she just didn't get it. Got a dip powder manicure on 10/4, I arrived at the salon at 930a (the time listed online that they open) however, no workers were there until 10a. I asked for a dip powder manicure and was completely rushed by the manicurist Amy, after they were the ones that were late. By Friday, 10/8, I had 3 nails that were chipped. I got a pedicure and gel powder and I was out within the hour. I did have an appointment but they have so many workers I didn't wait at all. They massaged my legs, feet, and hands. The place is huge and very clean. They open all their equipment in front of me. Well if I could give this business no stars I would. First time coming here being new to the area. I lived here when I was younger and a friend told me to try fashion nails. I walked in and waited a few. Which was not bad. Then I sit down and she says well you need new gels so I asked how much are they she said 55. Then she proceeded to cut all my nails off my real nails I said what are you doing she said I am putting tips on I said no I wanted new gels not new nails. She just shrugged her shoulders and proceeded. She said you don't want tips I said no I had nails that you just cut off, so she just put the gel on and then kept going so I asked how much for a design on 2 nails she said 20, I was like wow, not only did you cut off my nails you are so expensive and want to charge me more, ok whatever. Then I told the lady at the register what she did and she shrugged and said oh and then she spoke in her language like she was talking about me and didn't even apologize or nothing. I'll be honest, I went here once and received fantastic service. Second time around, not so much. It was a Sunday afternoon and I went to go get a pedicure with my mother, little bit of a wait but no big deal. We proceed to pick out our colors and stand (no seating to wait, but again no big deal) and my mom accidentally dropped the nail polish bottle. Anyone who has been to a nail salon knows this is a common occurrence, apparently not here! The woman working nearest to us gave us the dirtiest look and said nothing. The nail polish sat on the ground along with the broken glass for a few minutes until a man handed US a paper towel to clean it up. Talk about a liability, broken glass everywhere. We asked if there was a reason we needed to clean up the broken bottle but received no answer from anyone employed there. Nasty remarks from a customer who seemed to magically believe that the paper towels were for us to clean up the non existent nail polish on our legs even though her back was facing the man who gave them to us and she had headphones in. We left $10 for the broken bottle, received no comments from anyone and walked out. Needless to say, we will never be returning. Shame, they had so much potential. Too robotic. read more

I've never been to a nail salon w such a rude staff, every other salon asks " can I get you a water " " what's your name " or makes any basic conversation. I went into this salon wanting a new trend on my nails getting a different shade of one color on each nail ... when I told this to the man doing my nail he let out a big sigh like I just ruined his day he proceeded to file my nails round when I asked for square and then refused to do square, and when he painted my nails he put the lightest coat on each nails so now my $30 gel is see through. he also reprimanded me many times to stop moving when I wasn't moving at all.
