    Unprofessional when questioned.

My dog has been a patient at Farview veterinary clinic for over 2 years until apparently this evening. Last week my husband went to get our dog his monthly allergy shot. The technician asked him if our pup had any other issues besides his allergies and my husband confirmed he did not, only mentioning that he had been licking his paw (hence the reason for the shot). She then takes my husband's credit card (you're still not allowed inside the office because of 2020 Covid restrictions so you sit in their parking lot) and brings my dog inside while he waits in the car. Literally 5 minutes later, the vet comes outside and confirms that there is redness in his paws from allergies. This is strange considering we made an appointment with a vet tech....why is the doctor coming out to speak to us? No one asked us if we wanted to have our dog looked at by the vet. Here's what upsets my husband--without asking, they charge our credit card an additional $65 for an office visit on top of the allergy shot. Naturally, my husband was a little confused and asked to dispute it with the office. He was then met with attitude and retaliation which was completely uncalled for. This evening out of the blue, I get a personal email from the vet informing me that he will no longer see my dog because of this. Dr. Mossad, I'm incredibly disappointed in you. This goes to show how little you care for your patients and how money actually does play a huge role in your establishment. To dismiss my dog over $65?? Thanks for the memories PS-it's 2023.....why am I not allowed in the office with my dog during his examinations? I literally wear a mask 247.....I don't see any reason why the owner shouldn't be allowed inside the office with their pet. It's SUPER sketchy.

On Saturday September 19th, I reached out to Dr. Mosaad through Facebook, after seeing his reviews online. We were dealing with a devastating injury on a weekend, caused by a tech at another practice, that required emergency orthopedic surgery. We had never been to Farview with our pets, yet Dr Mosaad messaged me right away, reviewed my dogs X-ray and helped us go in the right direction. There a few doctors, veterinary or otherwise, who would have done what he did for our family that weekend and it shows what an exceptional human being and doctor he is. We lost our little Chihuahua that weekend, but our other pups have found a new home here and after one visit, we couldn't be more impressed with the entire team. I would highly recommend Dr Mosaad & Farview Animal Clinic.

Then about a year later I was told he was in kidney failure, just a month ago I called them to ask what the process was when it is time to cross the rainbow bridge. I was assured they would work with my schedule and make it as easy as possible. Unfortunately the time came the next day and I called and they were not able to fit me in the schedule because they were booked and ready to leave for the day. (it as 4:00) I was told I could come in tomorrow but I will have to wait until they have time. I am sorry but are you f*cking kidding me? You JUST told me YESTERDAY you would fit us in and make it as easy as possible for me and this was your response? I ended up bringing him to his backup vet that took the time to stay late to help us through the situation. The doctor at this other vet comforted us and took the time to make sure we were all okay. We were not kept waiting or rushed out the door because they were closing. The next day i called Banfield to let them know he had passed and i did not even get an I'm Sorry. Instead I got an Ok I'll take him out of the system. I have not yet a month later received any acknowledgement of sympathy from these coldhearted people. My dog was a patient of theirs for over 10yrs and they could not be bothered to show some kind of affection. Shame on you!!

Although I am a physician I am not familiar with this procedure in canines, but apparently open incisions are used to cut into the bladder for stone removal. My. Baby girl was discharged in howling pain, which was traumatic for my sister who had retrieved her. She had to return her to demand appropriate pain management for the dog as she was only given gabapentin and Rimadyl (doggie Advil). Even women who have cesarean sections are given strong analgesia for at least 3 days postoperatively. My baby suffered for days. I called the office the following day to get information regarding her diet going forward, as bladder stones can definitely recur. Not only was I not given any information, but I was merely switched to another person who just asked for my financials to make payment for the "extra (much needed) meds." I was given a generic receipt, so my insurance denied the payment, and I was NEVER given the invoice for the surgery, which was almost 3k and paid in full up front. I sent an email requesting the invoice, and to date they refused to respond, so I will not be able to submit for the reimbursement. When my son called the office he was told that they "didn't know" about the insurance- even though it is on file. Although they claim they will submit, I don't have much faith that they will. Further, why was this not handled from the beginning before they tortured my baby? If a human patient is treated this way there are patient advocates & lawyers promptly involved. I guess things are different in Veterinary Medicine.... But animals deserve compassionate care, too. Some people love their pets more than their spouses. In addition, pet parents should be counseled regarding the operative course, what to expect, and how to manage their pets post-operatively at home. My family, and especially my dog, were traumatized by this experience. This vet got good reviews on Yelp for some reason; maybe they are acceptable for routine well care visits and minor illnesses. But if you have a pet with serious illness or require invasive or surgical intervention I encourage you to seek another Veterinary practice.
