Besides their computers down n messing the invoice several times sent me to collections for non payment when they never sent the bills. Asked for Dr notes for insurance company. Never sent them. But they billed me for them. They put a screw in this knee joint thatvwasvto big and told me he can stay like that but the dog was not able to walk. 3 x rays n 2 months later they removed it. Now there's damage to the joint. I'm still in collection cause they refused to give me the dogs drs notes. I have never been so upset, angry and frustrated they also refused to talk to me. If I could give this place no stars I would. The majority of the people that work here are awful. One of the nurses continuously referred to my senior dog as geriatric & referenced that he was so old and doesn't have too much time left when I just found out he had kidney issues. Then about a year later I was told he was in kidney failure, just a month ago I called them to ask what the process was when it is time to cross the rainbow bridge. I was assured they would work with my schedule and make it as easy as possible. Unfortunately the time came the next day and I called and they were not able to fit me in the schedule because they were booked and ready to leave for the day. (it as 4:00) I was told I could come in tomorrow but I will have to wait until they have time. I am sorry but are you f*cking kidding me? You JUST told me YESTERDAY you would fit us in and make it as easy as possible for me and this was your response? I ended up bringing him to his backup vet that took the time to stay late to help us through the situation. The doctor at this other vet comforted us and took the time to make sure we were all okay. We were not kept waiting or rushed out the door because they were closing. The next day i called Banfield to let them know he had passed and i did not even get an I'm Sorry. Instead I got an Ok I'll take him out of the system. I have not yet a month later received any acknowledgement of sympathy from these coldhearted people. I have been taken my dog sweetie to Banfield of Paramus for about 10-11 years. The doctors and technicians are professionals and courteous. Always Banfield take great care of my dog especially when she is sick and was attacked once. Melissa the technician usually gives her the Cytopoint injection on a monthly basis from March to September. Usually people give bad reviews when they encountered a bad experience. Fortunately so far we have never had that problem. You usually do not hear people writing good reviews when they encounter a good experience. read more

If you value your pet do not use any of their referrals. We found a lost dog and brought it to the vet to have it checked. The office recommended us to leave the dog in the care of someone they work with due to legal reasons. We were told that we could keep the dog if nobody claimed it after one week. When we contacted the woman after the 7 days to have the dog returned to us if the owner wasnt found, she accused us of harassing her and threatened to take legal action. She also accused us of intentions to use the dog for dog fights. (This dog was a small house dog) We contacted the office to find a resolution since they referred the woman and they decided to side with her. Basically the office referred us to someone that ended up stealing a lost dog andstill vouched for her. I am surprised that an animal hospital would work with someone like this. I believe they took the dog and sold it because they didn't expect us to follow up about a lost dog. So when we did follow up they had to make something up to not have to return the dog to us. So I was a client with Banfield for a while and when I really needed them they let me down. My dog Jack had been with them for about 3 years. I had pet insurance through them and everything. I never really had a problem with them, since I had insurance visits were free. Doctors and vet techs were nice. One day Jack woke up shaking and whimpering. I couldn't figure out for the life of me what was wrong but it scared the crap out of me. It was clear he needed medical attention. I called up Banfield and told them the situation and that he needed to be seen that day. They said the next appointment they had was two months from the day I needed. Again, I tried to explain to them how he was acting and how sick he looked. They didn't care. That day I cancelled my plan with them. I was so turned off by it because it really showed they only care about money and not about the well being of your pet. I called a local vet and they told me to go in right away and squeezed him in between other clients. They did a thorough exam and I've been with them ever since. I was told over the phone that there was a one month wait for neuter appointment but there was a 3 month wait. I was told neutering would be $200-400 but when I got there was told at least $550. DIANE, the front desk woman, is so incredibly rude, condescending and passive aggressive. Her fake pleasant voice is a slap in the face. She will answer the phone, ask you to hold, and an option to leave a message won't be available until 20 minutes. I came up after work to get some meds to hold me over. When I have spent the last 10 hours at my job, servicing the customer and doing what I can to make things run smoothly, in a way to solve problems, I am saddened to see that my years and money there don't go very far. KELLY, our family will miss you. You are the glue that holds that facility together. I have been a customer of Medina Banfield for 12 years. I have laid down thousands of dollars, having a new vet almost every time with my dogs over my course there. To put it simply, I needed a refill on my pet's allergy medication through Pet Meds who needed an okay from my vet. I just spent $300 in June on my dog. Dr. Getto was out on vacation and Dr. Henson would not sign the okay to have the medication released - so it could be sent to me. Apparently it would have been okay to get the meds directly from Banfield but, maybe through some short staffing issues, no one relayed this to me. My dog ran out of meds, got rash, etc. Finding a new vet. read more

Before I visited this place, I took a good look at all the previous reviews and I was surprised with the bad reviews given to this clinic, I always wanted to give it the benefit of the doubt, I thought that people complained about little minor things just bc they didn't get the attention or bc someone at the staff was rude etc. I finally arrived at the appointment with my cat and to my surprise I was told that I had to leave it for up to 4 or 5 hours, I have never left my pets along at other clinics; this was just a routine checkup and I didn't expect any major tests. Approximately after one hour and a half I received a phone call from the Doctor informing that my pet had been examined and everything was fine, but the doctor mentioned they had just given a flu vaccine to my pet that was not supposed to be injected at the time but according to the doctor they had called the vaccine maker and they had applied another vaccine to avoid any complications, I was told that they had to keep my pet in for another two hours just to make sure there were no reactions, I told the doctor I was just outside and that I wanted to take my cat with me which they agreed for as long as I was going to be next to my cat for the next two hours. At checkout my cat was returned to me with a blanket that we don't know where it came from (probably from another animal), while asking for the charges I was told I had to pay for 2 vaccines, then I asked what kind of vaccines and the lady at the reception didn't know what to say, at the same time another guy who work in there stepped out and the lady asked him for the vaccines, he said that by an unknown mistake they had given a flu shot that was supposed to be for dogs to my feline, imagine our surprise to such finding, it was unacceptable!! Now I understand why so many people had such bad reviews for this place. After that they had the nerd to ask me if I wanted another appointment for another vaccine!! If you are reading this just figure out if this is the place where you want to bring your babies, We are no longer coming back to such a place. This is a terrible, terrible place. There is a reason why this place has so may negative reviews and I wish I had taken the time to read them before I took my pets here. My pets are enrolled under the Banfield Insurance plans, so I pay around $70 per month premium for my pets, but when it comes to service the hospital does not provide it. My pets were scheduled for a dental cleaning appointment today. A dental cleaning is treated as a surgery since the pets are put under anesthesia. I was confirmed of the appointment both verbally and in writing, i.e., I was given instructions on how to prep them from the night before for the anesthetic procedure, including not giving them any food or water from the night before. I was given these instructions both verbally and in writing through email. See the attached screen shot of the confirmation email I received from them for the anesthetic appointment as well as the prepping instructions. I prepped my pets accordingly, didn't give them food or water since last evening and took them today morning to drop off at 8;30 am. At the time of drop off the associate checking my pets in denied having any anesthesia appointment for my pets today. She simply said "we do not do dental cleanings on Saturdays" I tried to tell her that I have confirmed appointments for dental cleanings today, that I have been confirmed both verbally as well as in writing and given instructions on how to prep the pets and have prepped them since last night. All this was of no avail, since she refused to admit them for the procedure. When I tried to escalate the issue to her manager she said the manager was not available and will come in soon in a few minutes and will give me a call when she comes in. I came back home and waited for the call. After a few hours of waiting I called the hospital. The person who took the call said this time that the managers, Lisa and Kelly, will not be back before 2 pm and that's the earliest I'll be able to talk with them. Needless to say, this is a very mismanaged hospital and the staff is extremely unprofessional and unfriendly: 1. They will confirm appointments with you, even anesthetic ones, give you instructions for prepping your pets and then not honor it when you arrive. 2. Each time you speak with a person they will deny everything someone else from the same hospital has told you before, their standard line is "I don't know who you spoke with before but what you're saying is not true." 3. They play a game of shifting responsibility, each person disowns any confirmation made to you by a previous person, so it's impossible to trust them. The Banfield Wellness plans seem good in theory, however, the point of any insurance plan is that you play premiums in advance so that you may get the service when you need it. 1/22/21 Took my puppy Buddha for his first wellness visit He is a 3mo french bulldog Gave them his shot records which show bordetella/distemper were given to him at his 2mo visit 1/12/21. I WAS NOT INFORMED THEY WOULD REPEAT THESE SHOTS. I WOULD NEVER HAVE AGREED TO MY PUPPY RECEIVING THEM AGAIN 10 DAYS AFTER HE RECD THEM.FROM BULLY ZONE. This level of care is sickening, he had to wait a month between the 1st and 2nd round of shots! This is not ok, had i been told this was the game plan i would NOT have consented. They also charged for a fecal exam and never called to follow up w/results. I have called and left messages 2xs for the office manager and have yet to hear back from her! My 1st call a woman with a nasty attitude (Julie i believe) informed me that due to his shot records not having a signature they were considered not valid, why was this not brought to my attention???? I visited this location because my yorkie puppy was sick. I have a serious issue with the Vet tech named Rob. He found it necessary to hand me my dog in a rude manner and state to me rudely and out loud as he walked away that my puppy needs behavioral training because he apparently tried to bite 3 people in the back. Rob appeared angry. My puppy was visibly afraid. I was confused and I tried to respond to let him know that I've in fact taken him to puppy training but not due to his behavior. I thought that was unnecessary and so rude for him to say. To assume that my puppy has behavior issues. I figured he would've learned this in his Vet tech class. If you're poking or probing an animal. They may become STRESSED, AFRAID, even ANXIOUS!! They're in an unfamiliar environment! Is he and the rest of the staff that handled my puppy that INCOMPETENT??! We have a wellness plan for 9 years!!! my dog never gets sick , and now that he is really sick vomiting for days (took him before to ER), and he is not getting any better, they turned him away because he has no appointment and they are very busy!!! I'm not sure how this place operates. I have the wellness plan with them and take my dog to get a checkup every 6 months or so. I got a call two weeks ago asking if I wanted to schedule my dogs appointment (they are so annoying by the way- they call consistently). I told them no because a. I was at work b. Going on vacation soon and I would call back. They said sure no problem. A week later I get a text message about my dogs appointment. What appointment?! I never scheduled an appointment! I declined the appointment confirmation. Did the person just make an appointment for me? Makes no sense. Also- back in January they told me my dog had hepatitis because his liver count was through the roof (over 1000). They called several hours after I left. Very strange. I should note I heard somebody else in the waiting room talking about how their dog had an elevated liver count. Of course I was nervous.Got him all the meds he needed and got his blood work again. Funny- the liver count went down by over 900. To this day I believe they mixed my dogs blood work with another dogs. So hard to trust. read more

I do not recommend taking your pet to Banfield in Paramus. The doctors are great but the staff in the front desk are horrible. Now with Covid-19 they make you wait outside and tell you to call when you get there but they don't pick up the phone. They see you are outside calling and they ignore you. If you go through PetSmart to get the reception area, they also ignore you and they take forever to attend to you and your pet. Also if you call ahead of time they put you on hold for a least half an hour or they drop the call and don't pick up the phone. After my annual membership expires, I will never renew. read more

This is absolutely by far the worst place ever!!!! I went because my 11 month old pup was not himself. I had explained my dog had gone to get groomed same place Petsmart !!!! After that he was not the same. He was a different dog stressed trauma worst is he was not eating drinking water acting very strangely barely moved for two days !!!! I call frantic I take him there and they said absolutely nothing wrong with him and nerve they shoved some wet food in his face as if I was lying about him not eating... the vet never came out to speak to me or bother just the tech who had the worst bedside manners ever !!!! It was terrible I will be going elsewhere to ensure my dog is ok this all from a trip to the groomer if you can imagine !!! Our dog seemed off so we needed him to get checked out. We should of known better to take him to Banfield so it's shame on us. When we called (coronavirus era) we explained what's wrong with our dog. He's moping around, not really eating, looks bloated and peeing a lot. We take him in and they do a pancreatitis test along with blood work. The pancreatitis test is negative but his red blood cells are low and white blood cells are high. They tell us they DONT KNOW WHATS WRONG WITH OUR DOG. They asked if he eat rat poison? They recommend we take him to Bluepearl or Oradell Animal hospital for an for an ultrasound. Oh by the way here is ur bill for $425 to tell me absolutely NOTHING. Oh wait I sorry, they recommended a teeth cleaning for our dog on the paperwork. Today we took him to Bluepearl to get examined. The vet calls me back after she examined him and noticed his bloated belly (before ultrasound). She tells me she believes he has fluid (blood) from a bleeding tumor. Aren't you a trained Vet over there at Banfield? You didn't noticed the bloated belly? Anyway we did ultrasound just to confirm pretty much what she already told us. (Thank you to the real Vets at Bluepearl!). So our dog is dying from a bleeding tumor on the liver which is most likely cancerous. She explained our options my options the bad and the good and kept it very honest. Once again thank you to Bluepearl! If your dog has ear infection or needs couple shots maybe and I mean MAYBE I would take them to Banfield. I honestly feel like we got scammed out of $425 at Banfield when we could of just paid the $950 at Bluepearl from the beginning. Brought my sick cat at this facility and the worst decision I've ever done. If only I already knew all the bad reviews of this place, my cat probably still alive because I probably brought my cat somewhere else. The doctor didn't even gave a chance to choose my cat to be alive, he just suggested to put my 3 years old cat into sleep that day i brought her there because my cat was sick. And because of her condition which I just found out my self that her virus was very contagious, the doctor didn't even warn us too with our other cats in the house.And yes another cat got sick with the same prognosis but we brought him to another vet hospital and he got better.After my cat died 4 days after because the doctor said there's no medication that can save her life.I searched her condition and asked some vets doctors and I was told that it was cureable, it needs antibiotics and possible my cat was alive just like my other cat.Blaming myself everyday why did I made a very wrong decision that day and just believed what was the doctor just told me and didn't go to other vet hospital.Please if you love you pets donot go at this location, I don't want you to experience what my family experienced with our cat.Pls..pls...go to other or somewhere else especially when it is emergency. read more

I was referred to this hospital by a friend when I mentioned that I needed to take my dog (Poohky) for his rabies vaccine. She told me they have great monthly plans that include some vaccines and even teeth cleaning depending on their age. My dogs veterinarian does not offer monthly plans so I decided to check Banfield Hospital in Paramus, NJ. In January 2018 I scheduled an appointment for Poohky who is a 11 year old Yorkie terrier whom I treat as my child. On the day of the appointment I was greeted by Courtney, Poohky was weighed and I provided her with all of Poohkys information. After waiting approximately 10 minutes we were called into a small room by Dr. Otiepka and Allison. Poohky was evaluated and Dr. Otiepka advised me that Poohky might have a heart murmur, when I told her Poohky has not had any health problems and I can have his vet fax over his health records she decided to check again and then said, I don't hear it anymore, it might be the way he was breathing. Dr. Otiepka checked Poohkys testicles which I am aware he has very large. Dr. Otiepka said, it might be cancer since she feels one testicle bigger than the other. Then, she asked if she can take Poohky to the back to perform an anal check, I agreed. After, about 10 minutes she brought Poohky back into the room. Poohky appeared anxious so I proceeded to carry him. I then heard a noise as if he passed gas. I immediately checked and there was blood on the floor! I checked him and it was coming from his rectum. I panicked and so did my mom that was with us. I looked and asked the Dr. why was he bleeding from his rectum? She said, she didn't know and asked if she could take him to the back again to check him. I said, NO can you check him here? She agreed. We waited a while and Poohky would not stop bleeding I felt horrible I should have read the reviews prior to taking him to this place!!!!!!! Dr. Otiepka gave us medicine to take home for the bleeding and said it should stop in an hour or so. Poohky was bleeding and did not want to eat or drink water that day or the following week!!!! On the following day I called and asked to speak to a Dr. The receptionist stated everyone was busy at the time but she would have someone call me back. After 50 minutes I received a phone call from Kelly (practice manager) I asked if she was a doctor since that is whom I asked to speak to. Kelly immediately raise her voice and proceeded to be nasty, she would cut me off every time I wanted to speak and even hung up on me. You would think she would atleast have some empathy. Bottom line Poohky visited Banfiled Hospital for a rabies vaccine I was told he might have a heart murmur, cancer and then he walked out bleeding from his rectum, as you can see the pus and blood coming out. Just imagine how I feel. If you care for your dog, Please DO NOT take your dog here the worst experience of my life! Also, I followed up (Given fluids through injection so he would not dehydrate, X-rays) with Poohkys vet and he does NOT have a heart murmur, does NOT have cancer and is finally eating, drinking and using the bathroom regularly. First, I have to say that Banfield in general is pretty bad. I go to them because it's convenient and not expensive. But maybe that's why the service is so bad. We usually go to the East Hanover location because the wait isn't usually long and they've been consistent so far. Until now. Since we're going away on vacation, our dogs are staying at a puppy hotel and needed their shots updated to stay there. They were do for them anyway and we made the appointment for 2-3 weeks before we leave. They rescheduled twice and then rescheduled again for a date that we're gone. Obviously that wouldn't work since we were leaving. The woman on the phone wasn't even apologetic after we told her our situation and did nothing to help. We called some other Banfields and finally someone helped us but could only get us in for drop offs at the Paramus location. Now we don't ever do drop offs because one of our dogs has bad anxiety and the other will feed off of his energy and together they both get very loud. But as this was our last resort, we had to do it. The woman that was checking me in was very degrading, telling me that I shouldn't drop my dogs off because of their anxiety. I explained my situation and all she could say was "It happens. Sometimes the doctors call out." When we came to pick them up, the same woman told us how sad they were barking all the time and how we shouldn't drop them off anymore. I had to repeat that had they not kept cancelling our appointments, I wouldn't have had to drop them off. And while we were waiting, the doctor working on our dogs said, "Can you call the loud ones parents? They're ready." I guess she didn't expect us to be sitting in the lobby but I found that very rude. As a vet, I expect them to be understanding about dogs issues and at least refer to them by name as I like when my doctor does. Once she finally came to talk to us I was AGAIN told not to do drop offs for my dogs. I hope if they read this they finally get in their head that their poor scheduling and lack of consideration is the reason I had to drop off my very anxious dogs. I'll definitely be looking into other insurance options soon. read more

I love banfield I have had my baby since he was 3 months old and took him to banfield pet hosptial right away and they were great especially the puppy plan . I have saved so much money with this plan and iam happy I opted to do it vs pay so much out of pocket. I must admit at first i was a little nervous because of the out of pocket cost. I didn't realize so much money went into taking care of a pet, but i wouldn't change it. The puppy plan has literally saved my life lol. My baby is now 2 (will be 3 in october) and I still love banfield. There are little hiccups here and there , but nothing they don't work to resolve so I can say I am a happy camper . The wait can get long sometimes as well , but I look at it this way sometimes we have to wait at our drs office so whats the difference. There have been times I have waited an hr or 2 to see my dr so I don't get mad, I mean how could you , your pet is apart of your family so waiting is apart of the experience. I do thank you guys because I couldnt do it . All the animals you see everyday must make you guys so tired at the end of the day , but I want to say keep up the great work I couldn't be more happy. My rescue pet needed rabies injection. I had appt for 4:30pm but arrived at 4:45pm due to accident on road way. Nonetheless when I got there the receptionist was on the phone for at least 5 mins didn't ask me about my dog. Someone came out of back and I told her who we were and she said we'll the doctor may not see you because you are late. She had an attitude . Never came back from the back someone else did I told her the situation she went in the back and told me doctor would give my dog rabies vaccine but charge me a late fee of $25 is that protocol? They don't care. Don't go to this place with your dog. I have gone to other Banfield and they have been compassionate and caring. These people are unprofessional and rude. read more

We had made an appointment to have a dental prophylaxis done on our dog Sebastian. We made this appointment on the suggestion of their staff members on our last visit. We were even asked to add the coverage of this procedure to our monthly pet insurance, which we did. In the days leading up to our appointment, we received a confirmation phone call. My husband wanted to make sure we had the correct drop off times, as in the past we have been misinformed. The assistant on the line stated that drop off would be from 7a-10a. We arrived at the location at 9am. There was a long wait to check in which is usual for a busy Saturday. When it was our turn we were told we missed the drop off time which was from 7a-8a. We reiterated that the individual on the phone told us we had until 10am. She said that's not the case and we need to reschedule. This has happened to us before. This location has even told us we had no appointment in the past, which was untrue. We were done with the back and forth and wanted to speak to a manager, they explained that the manager would not be in until later. After much discussion and debate, they finally agreed to see Sebastian, with the Okay from the vet. The front desk assistant informed us that we would get a call when he is ready. Around 6p we still had not received a call, and we noticed that Banfield closes at 7p. We made our way out there and the same front desk assistant said that he was already ready to pick up. We stated we never received a call, she shrugged at that comment and said "I don't know". She then stated that we owed about $270. We were absolutely floored at this because in the morning when we asked if we were covered they stated yes. Additionally, we added the coverage for this procedure beforehand so that we would not have to pay out of pocket. We did not expect to have to pay for this. Again after much back and forth, the assistant said we had not added the coverage and added it to us that day, but stated we would have to extend our coverage for a year. At this point we just wanted to get our dog and leave. I was very frustrated with the lack of communication and the extreme amount of miscommunication. During both times we were there we witnessed many clients having issue with communication. Pet owners given the wrong medicine, to appointments not showing in the system. Every owner had documentation that they were correct, which made me very uneasy with the way this location is being run. During both times, it also seemed that there was no supervisor or management to speak to. Saturday is a very busy day at Banfield and the front desk associate definitely needed help and support. At this point, my family and I have discussed that we no longer feel comfortable with bringing Sebastian to Banfield. Especially, when I saw that owners were given the wrong medicine. This appointment could have been handled with more ease instead the added stress. I do recommend that there be an audit done on this location and that there should be management present during their peak times. read more

I consider the name "pet hospital" misleading. This is more of a primary care only center however I still am not confident with this facility. We took our dog here for acute vomiting with jelly like blood spots; she received appropriate initial labs and treatment and was diagnosed with acute pancreatitis. I was told she was "doing well" while I was at work which appeased my fears. When my husband picked her up she had an episode of bloody diarrhea. The vet instructed to monitor her at home for 7 days and prescribed her metronidazole. Meanwhile my dog could hardly get in the car let alone drink by herself. I was actually surprised the vet recommended this. I'm not revealing names for sake of privacy but this was pretty common sense to me: take her to the emergency pet hospital. I asked BOTH vets: the initial and covering provider if I should take her to the hospital in their professional opinion. And both said NO, that I should monitor her at home and the next step is to eventually get an ultrasound...We rushed her to Westwood emergency hospital. They reviewed the labs and X-ray results completed at Banfield and immediately diagnosed her with a different diagnosis of hemorrhagic gastroenteritis (HGE) including pancreatitis and she was recommended to be HOSPITALIZED for 5-7 DAYS. I hope the veterinarian's here are more cautious and can stay abreast or have a case study regarding HGE. Had we listened to the Banfield vets, our dog may have not made it since HGE IS FATAL if not immediately treated. read more

Was very pleased with the care my cat received here until we dropped her off during covid for an ear infection very early she wasn't seen until the after noon because they had several morning emergencies. We waited around all day nervous and called several times and no one had an update. Finally we picked her up and she was covered in urine. No one seemed to care when I called twice trying to figure out why she was covered in urine and they got annoyed at me. No one had answers read more

I wish I could give zero stars. I'm not sure why I haven't written this review sooner, but this place is terrible. I used to have the Banfield pet insurance and take my dog here a few years ago. One day I had an emergency, my dog was pooping a lot of blood, and I won't get into too many other details but I rushed him to Banfield. I told them what was going on and they told me that people have appointments and I would have to take my dog and wait OUTSIDE, until they could see me. I understand wanting to make sure my dog was not contagious, but how about putting us in a room. It was raining outside to make matters worse. I understand that people have appointments but clearly this was an emergency. Since this was my regular vet I expected maybe a little more urgency. I actually did wait outside in the rain for almost an hour, and then I left and went to Oradell animal hospital where he was seen immediately and put on an IV. I would never ever return there, and I wrote a review on their website, and someone called me making weak excuses. Go elsewhere! read more

The Banfield let hospital in Paramus nj is not a good place to take your pet, I took my pet cookie there for her comprehensive exam I was there not even 15 minutes after leaving her and a worker called out to me and told me cookie was all done and ready to go (mind you I was getting in my car in front of the pet hospital) I said no way I never had this happen and cookie has been coming here since she was about 4 or 5 months the young lady had a bag in her hand with only my legs flea and heartworm medicine no receipt of anything so I went insider and spoke to the young lady at the desk and told her I never heard of not went through anything like this ever and I know nothing was done with my dog when they weighed her I was told she weighed 11lbs and was given a shot and her blood work was fine on 9/9/21 on 10/9/21 ironically was like she never had a shot not even a uncomfortable or does spot, ok Cookie had an 7:30 am appointment for a surgical drop off to have her teeth exam and cleaned, I received a call to pick her up at 11:30, I was told that I would receive a call to pick her up between 3 or 5 when I picked her up she was just the way I dropped her off she came home and ate her dry food and did not show any kind of after care systems at all, so I checked her mouth and no bleeding not any signs that something was done she even ate a greenie toothbrush her leg was shaved no bandage not even a scar to show that an i.v was used and the young lady that works there told me that's where they had the i.v and I stayed to her that once again nothing was done and I really felt that way because I know my dog she's my baby and every mom knows their child and they said only what the tech told them to say because of cause they weren't back with the doctor or tech. I am not a vet but one thing I am not dumb especially when it comes to my baby to make this short I really am considering taken further action against them because there is much more like given me another dogs invoice and wrong meds for my dog!!! read more

My 4 year old dog went in for a yearly visit under their wellness plan, and the staff did not listen to any of my instructions. After she was picked up, she was in a considerable amount of pain and the pain continued through the night. Every time you touched her backside or her legs she yelped in pain. I had to take her to another vet who performed an exam and determined that excessive strength was used to restrain the dog for the exam. The dog has not acted normally for the last three days and is still in considerable pain even with medication provided by the other vet. I have been involved with my pets at Banfield since 2003 and have never had a situation like this. Do not take your pet to this location and most of all do not buy their wellness plan!!!!! It was too late for me, but check their yelp ratings and the other ratings on the Internet. They are not rated highly or other comments will mirror mine! read more

I would not recommend this place if my life depended on it. They don't give a crap about your pet. Their doctors are useless their staff is rude. In time of of need they treat you like crap. I hope they go through the pain my pet is going through. All the pictures of the place is bullshit to unfortunately they are not compassionate as they seem. DO NOT TAKE YOUR DOG HERE. Last year we started noticing my dog having a swollen leg. He thought he may have fallen off the bed so we took him in, they said it was an injury so we take the meds and leave because you trust what your vet tells you right... few month later the leg is swollen again.. take him back they do X-rays and they say it could be a bone infection.. more meds... this goes on for almost a year with could be arthritis, could be old age.. Finally after I've spent thousands of dollars and had no real answers I went to another vet. This vet who is AMAZING (VALLEY BROOKE HOSPITAL) highly recommend, we take him in to Oradell Animal Hospital for better XRAYS because she said the ones at Banfield weren't good and told her nothing. We soon find out it is a tumor on my dogs leg and its cancerous. After MULTIPLE visits with not just one vet because they kept switching us around we were NEVER once told that it could be cancer, and to go to an ongologist. I am DISGUSTED and FURIOUS. My dog has been in pain for almost a year and it has also spread to his lungs. If Banfield was competent this would have never happened. Because of Banfield my dog is going to die of cancer because it was too late. When I told the other vets that I was never told anything they were just as shocked. DO NOT TAKE YOUR DOG HERE! They are awful and only care about taking your money. I will never take any animal to any Banfield ever again . read more
