It was great to get in a Classic class while on vacation. Natalie was a great instructor. Boutique fitness classes like this are expensive, but for me, Pure Barre has been worth it. This is a small Y embedded in the new Buena Vista High School (opened 2023). It's in the southwest corner of the building, just to the left of the main school entrance. It's best if you enter from L Street then stay to the left. They don't seem to be overrun by students, and there is dedicated parking. There are no small children running around. The intimate, welcoming environment attracts people of all shapes, sizes, colors, ages, and abilities. What this location doesn't have: CROWDS, a pool, fresh towels, kids activities, childcare, or large classes. No spinning, Tai Chi, aerobics, Tai Kwan Do, or basketball. No late evening hours. Your memberhip lets you go to other Y locations to access those things if you want them. What this location does have: weights, a few treadmills, bikes, rowing machines, semiprivate showers, Egym weight machines, and easy access to friendly staff for advice. They have a few small-group classes aimed at general health and fitness. The Egym machines are the big deal here; each machine helps you exercise a particular part of your body. The Egym system automatically adjusts each machine to fit your body and fitness level, so you don't have to carry around a clipboard or remember how to make all of the adjustments. A video screen shows you how far and how fast to move so you can exercise without hurting yourself. It's really quite easy and non-intimidating. The YMCA membership price is a little more expensive than basic memberhip at gyms like Blue Moon or Planet Fitness. But the money goes to a good cause, and you can count on them being ethical. They won't keep charging your credit card if you decide to cancel. As with any gym, I won't be posting interior photos out of respect for the other customers, but you can find photos on the Facebook page or on the Metro YMCA website.

My first class at RHO, I got a very warm welcome as a "guest from Seattle". That totally set the tone for my 3 visits I ended up doing. The coaches were great and the crew was meter motivated as I am. I envied the spaciousness of the studio, plenty of space to get your erg on. Overhead fans keep the air moving and the lobby is full of celebration milestones, which is different than I'm used to. RH is really an excellent fitness outlet for all ages, shapes, and sizes. While we're all one stroke/one boat, each person in the crew is choosing their own adventure for what they're trying to accomplish with their erg. Thanks Omaha!! See you on my next visit.

I went to Micha after being on an acne medication for six…read moreyears that was seriously compromising my health and causing an array of issues that began to cripple me from chronic fatigue and intense brain fog to feeling mentally / physically / spiritually / and emotionally depleted. I initially went to him to help me get off the acne medication and go offset the side effects, as I had previously tried to get off it and my face was worse than it had ever been - but what I left with was more than I could have ever asked for. I am not a cycle girlie, I enjoy weightlifting and running, but biking of any sort has never thrilled me. This changed the game for me! The environment is so fun: you're in the dark for the most part, with some dramatic lighting that the instructor changes along with the music and the 'vibe'. These instructors have to be heavily trained to be part DJ and Cycle Instructor at the same time! Rather than cycling to a specific goal, you go along with the beat, and decide on your resistance. I found this to be super fun to follow, and very customizable as I could make it harder on myself than recommended when I wanted to. If I knew the song - I would increase my difficulty haha! The facility is super clean, thoughtful, and well equipped. They definitely make sure that you have everything you need right there. The little stuff, does not bother me like it used to. I tried going through my GP to start treatments and they wouldnt help. I had a total T of like 235, was exhausted all the time. It happens slowly and by the time I got around to taking the step to visit this clinic, I was ready and they obliged. You will feel comfortable walking in the door. You will be warmly greeted by a staff of lovely ladies who know what they are doing. They will do a thorough blood anaylisis and then prescribe a proper dose of TRT. I take mine twice weekly to minimise peaks and it works well for me. Some folks inject only once per week and some like to micro dose daily. These guys will also work with you on that. About the injections. They are not that bad. The needles are very small. I actually look forward to shot days, because I can feel it and it is wonderful. The head nusrse, Laura is very cool and easy to talk to. I talk with her about things I wouldnt share with anyone else and feel like she cares about me. Not once has she tried to up-sale me. If you are on the fence about doing this, all I can say is for my situation it is a life saver. I don't usually bother doing reviews, but I am completly satisfied.
