Perfect example of how customer service should be and how others should strive to replicate Value - tremendous considering the work and time saved when the correct products are used. Whole Wheat (SW 6121) Mega Greige (SW 7031) are two of our favorites! We have also used their paint to create a movie theater screen wall and it works perfectly for a screen projector! Tried to return an unopened and untinted gallon of white deck stain and was told I couldn't return it even for a credit. This stuff not tinted is like water and we are using for our deck trim. This is after spending over $2000 with this store in the last couple years. Wow! Also after that was going to buy two gallons of ext paint and was not even given the 30% discount that I received on the same project two or three weeks ago. This customer will investigate other paint stores in the future. Bad look on Sherwin Williams.

I should move from Lexington to Winchester so I can live where stores offer this kind of value and service. The store is conveniently located on Main Street but seemed to have more stuff than the Lowe's superstore near me (where their inventory is a hopelessly disorganized mess). D&S Hardware is well stocked in the way hardware stores were before the big box retailers took over. I love D&S Hardware... not just the large variety of merchandise, friendly and knowledgeable staff and great value. I love the customer oriented attitude they convey and the entire experience of shopping there.

I brought my daughter here a few weeks ago to see the butterflies after remembering that my son enjoyed them when he was her age. At the time my son was here (years ago), the admission was free. However, it's now $10 per person. I was a bit daunted by this because I thought $10 just to see the little butterfly greenhouse garden was a bit much... .... then after we exited the garden, we stumbled across an amazing children's outdoor play garden! I did not recall seeing this place before and my daughter was absolutely delighted! We loved it so much that we left to go pick up my son and bring him back the same day. They both spent hours playing in the dirt, with the toy food, climbing the structures, making a water fountain, playing in the tent, and so forth. Definitely worth the $10 per person for them to have that experience. We were also blown away by the fun selection of decor and children's garden toys and accessories inside the shop. The employees were super friendly and nice, too. Great spot. Will definitely be back. This place has also inspired me to consider having a garden. Maybe.

We visited here with our family on a warm day in March hoping to see butterflies. One of the staff…read moremembers kindly told us that the best time to see many beautiful butterflies is around mid-May, so we plan to come back then. Even though we didn't see many butterflies this time, the visit was still wonderful. The greenhouse is full of beautiful flowers and the landscaping is very well done. It's such a peaceful and relaxing place to walk around. We also bought a lemon tree, which became a lovely gift for our daughter. Highly recommend visiting. Especially after May if you want to see lots of butterflies!
