Truffle Mushroom Empanada, Lentil Quinoa Empanada, Toscana Canastita Yum! Did not last long!
Rosa L.

These are the best empanadas I have ever had in my life! Everything tastes impeccably fresh and full of flavor. We had the Lentil & Quinoa, a Truffle Mushroom special and a Toscana Canastita (the pesto was so yummy!) Walk up window service was friendly and quick (but not too quick as everything was being freshly made!) The cafe table and chairs were perfect to enjoy the food! What a gem!

If I had to describe the food here in one word, it would be "YUM!" I saw some friends talking about Farola and knew I just had to give it a try. Ordering was incredibly easy using their online platform, and we were surprised at how quickly our order was ready. Pickup was fast and easy as well! We had two of each empanada (besides for one that was sold out!) and woooow are they divine! The shell of the empanada is soft with a little crunch, and filling is perfectly seasoned, and the amount of food for what you pay is great. We can't wait to dig in again. Also - just a helpful tip, you can see which empanadas are which by the stamps on the crust!

Always enjoy their food. The staff is always friendly and willing to suggest items on menu. Great service.

Really reasonable price for the amount of awesome you get to eat! Also came with two sauces, a creamy cilantro and a vinegary sauce that had a little spice to it. The young guy that helped me also told me how to eat them the Columbian way by spooning the sauce on instead of dipping! Also came with a few bites of salad which was a nice fresh element. The empanada dough is made of corn so it's technically gluten free for you sensitive folk and is perfectly fried to a crisp! This might be the longest Yelp review I have written but seriously I am already wishing I would have gotten more!!! Tonight was the last Cotati market but they assured me I can find them at the Santa Rosa Farmer's Lane market on Saturdays! You can follow them on Instagram @mamazara.empanadas to find out where else you can find them or you can hire them to cater your next event!! Im telling you everyone will be glad you did!! https://www.mamazaraempanadas.com/ call, email, DM or go find them right now. -And buy twice as many as you think you need! Seriously the best thing i have eaten in awhile and last weekend I had brisket smash burgers and birria ramen! Literally trying to plan a party now so i can get empanadas catered!

Vinoma never disappoints!…read more Absolutely delicious empanadas, and the business owners are always friendly and give great service. It's a little bit of a funky location, but don't let that dissuade you. They have their own building that shares the lot with the gas station. You can order online beforehand or at the window. There are some tables outside to wait at, or you can just wait in your car. They bring your empanadas out as quick as possible, and always add a beautiful little flower to your order. Vinoma is truly a hidden gem, and I'm so glad the Rohnert Park area has a delicious local food option like this. Definitely check them out if you want a delicious meal!

The Argentinian restaurant is located next to a Shell Gas station in a nice small plaza in Rohnert Park. Parking is accessible in the medium size parking lot. We were not able to go inside the restaurant as there was a sign in the front to ring the bell for someone to come to the door and take your order. It was different but the staff were friendly and helpful. Once you order, you wait in your car and they bring your food to you. There are a few tables for dine in on the patio. We ordered a creamy corn empanada, traditional beef empanada, plum & bacon empanada, al pastor empanada, and a bacon egg & cheese empanada. Everything was fresh, authentic, and delicious. My favorite empanadas were the traditional beef and al pastor. Along with the flavorful meat filling, I enjoyed the crispy flaky crust as well. The sauce and pica de gallo provided went well with the empanadas. The presentation of the empanadas in the box was appealing and delightful. I appreciated the little menu in the box to inform you what you ordered. The little flower was a nice touch. Overall we enjoyed our experience at Vinoma. It was nice to try some legit empanadas from an Argentinian restaurant. Price point was fair. Glad we were able to run into this gem in wine country. We hope to be back next time we are in the area.

The food is consistently excellent and elevated, the staff remains professional while still keeping the home-y feel of the restaurant, and I could drink Carlos' passion fruit vinaigrette as an aperitif. We ordered a bunch of smaller plates to eat, and one was more delicious than the next! Our server was super knowledgeable about the menu and both nice and accommodating. The place is small but we sat outside, and it was a really lovely evening. We shared the Ensalada, which was really refreshing. The Brussels sprouts (Bruselas con camote) are NOT to be missed! We also really enjoyed the pastelitos de papa. We then split the Cachapa (with serrano ham, because, ham), and the Asado. Our group was 3 people, and we left VERY full, but not overwhelmed. My only regret is we didn't have room for dessert -- definitely next time!

We decided to order a breakfast burrito, mango danish and blueberry danish. I was a little shocked the breakfast burrito was prepared and then just microwaved. Probably the most low maintenance burrito I've had. It's more on the flat side too and not your proper burrito shape. The burrito itself tasted good though and there was even a cheese pull! The pastries were decent and had a good flakiness. I will say I think I was given a peach danish and not a mango one because it literally tasted and looked like peaches even though we saw the danish picked from the mango danish tray. We also sat outside which I already know is really cute during the warmer season, but during the colder season it's a bit cold and dark.

We were looking for dessert - something not too sweet. And this was the perfect spot! We had a manzana empanada and a banana y dulce de leche empanada. Both were good - they were warm and freshly baked. I will definitely be back to try some of their savory empanadas. Looking through their website, they also have a location at the Ferry Building and in SOMA. They can also be found at various Farmer's Markets around the Bay Area. I had no idea! They even have catering and delivery options via Uber Eats, Door Dash, or directly from El Porteno's themselves. This is a great business to patronize - unique and delicious. My usuals are their camarones (shrimp), the espinacas y panceta (spinach bacon and parmesan), and the champiñones (mushroom). The empanadas are served hot, flaky, and contain with a generous amount of filing. If they are out of a particular one at the window, just ask, they will bake a frozen one, which may take 5-7 minutes. I've also tried their carne and pollo empanadas which are also great but the three mentioned above are my favorites. I love that they put the empanadas in labeled sleeves so you actually know which is which! I've been to places that just stamp a letter on the crust, and half the time you can't even read it. This way is much easier especially when you're ordering a bunch of them like me. They are easy to eat on the go or grab a table at either end of Oxbow Market. Don't forget to get a side of their Chimmichuri sauce for $1.50. The sauce really completes the empanada! The staff is always friendly, helpful, and happy to make recommendations if you can't decide. You can't go wrong with any of them as I've tried them all the last few years.
