We stayed over Easter weekend and the stay was wonderful! I would highly recommend this B&B. The owners were so accommodating and welcoming! The bedding was wonderful our room and the entire house was spotless! The breakfast each morning was delicious! We will definitely be visiting again and staying at the farnswoth House! It definitely felt like my home away from home!

Breakfast freshly prepared by Kim and Soren

This was a very quaint, clean and serene bed and breakfast. The rooms were clean and well kept. The owners of the property Kim and Soren were ver friendly and accommodating. They went above and beyond to make sure our stay was comfortable and relaxing. Breakfast was prepared fresh every morning. Kim did an amazing job preparing breakfast served alongside Soren's delicious fruit salad which was cut and prepared perfectly Rooms were stocked with complimentary beverages and snacks. And the decor and artwork was beautiful. Definitely will visit again! 5 stars

We absolutely loved staying at Farnsworth House. Kim and her husband were fabulous hosts. Their breakfasts were yummy and the accommodations were outstanding! Already planning our next trip back.

Kim had suggested earlier that we go to the marina for sunset and it was absolutely beautiful - not to be missed.

We ordered drinks and decided to try a couple of entrees. The kitchen did take their time to prepare our meals, but, we were not in any hurry after driving all afternoon. All our dinners were excellent. We also decided to try some of their desserts which were out of this world...great. Prices were reasonable and service was very good. I highly recommend dinner and dessert at the Lakeside Inn.

We spent three nights here last weekend. When checking in, after making a reservation for a "Pet"…read moreRoom, I received eye rolls and a warning when I asked for clarification of the language on the pet form. The form stated that we could not leave our 15 lb dog alone for extended periods. I asked if we could leave the room for meals and got a mean look and more eye rolls. Not a great start. If you don't want pets, don't say you can bring a pet and then charge a pet fee. The location is fabulous. That said, the exterior of each building is filthy. They have not been cleaned or painted for many years. The room has carpet from the 60's which was stained as well. Food in the dining room was average at best. The bartenders and servers were great. In the main dining room, we saw the "cockroach that devoured Cleveland!" In the same room, the split system air conditioner was leaking down the wall and onto the floor. Well, that is about as nice, and brief, as I can be. Good luck, folks!

Hampton is trying to convert people away from using physical card keys to using a phone to enter your room. It didn't work for my husband. Our king room was adequate, with night stands on either side of the bed, with outlets available. The room included fridge, microwave, and coffee maker, plus large flat screen TV. There is vending and an ice machine on each of the 3 floors. The bathroom was equipped with a shallow tub and shower combination. There were plenty of towels, but they were on the stiff side. A hair dryer and box of tissues were well hidden in the vanity drawers. There were no towel racks, but there was a small hook near the tub. Oddly, there were 5 grab bars in our bathroom. The bathroom had been cosmetically renovated, especially around the vanity. Breakfast was so-so. Hot items included oatmeal, sausage, eggs, and potatoes. There were also mini-scones, bagels, a waffle maker, and accouterments. Seating is limited, and is essentially the lobby area. The upholstered surfaces are rather dirty. Given what we paid for our stay, we expected better overall.

The place is owned by Inez and her granddaughter, Shelby, who helps run the place. Both are so gracious and accommodating. The Inn is charming, clean and conveniently located by downtown and Rennigers (which is why we were there - for the Antique show). It's affordable and they were nice enough to work with us on their two-night required stay rule. (For festivals they require a two-night stay but we only came for one and since they weren't sold out, they didn't charge us the extra night). We loved our stay and highly recommend this bed & breakfast to others..really good people and we're happy to support their business. We'll be back to Mt Dora for another festival and definitely staying here.

But I thought it rude that she didn't offer to show me the house after I asked to see the rooms that were empty also a very strong smell of Canabus Coming through the Ac in our upstairs room . Late at nite and again early in the am 5 /6 ish . Informed the owner at breakfast .. she said she burns sage .... was not safe it was pot for sure . I was telling he so she knew people could smell it I wasn't complaining - just thought she should know . Also we sleep with a fan and I forgot mine so I went to the hall closest to see if there was one , instead of bothering her . I found one in the hall bath a clip on one on a towel rack so I didn't think she would mind so we used it . Well when we came back later that nite there was a note on the hall bathroom door stating rather rudely that this was a private bath for another room .i did see the private sign on the door but I knew no one else was staying in the main house but us ... so the bottom line is we loved the place But I don't think the owner is as laid back as she looks or thinks she is lol

We also like to walk around the area and try out the food spots. They have an outdoor market on Sunday. We stayed at this lovely bed and breakfast. We ended up being the only guests staying there. We had the entire house to ourselves. The room was antique but well maintained. The bathroom was updated and the water was warm with great pressure. The bed was comfortable. We did watch a movie on the small television; and there was an issue with the television, but the host fixed it. The host over the Inn were pleasant and welcoming. They live on-site. They suggested a couple of places in town. The bed and breakfast is located within walking distance of a lot of sights and restaurants. The breakfast was cooked to order as we were the only guests that day. It was delicious, served on-site, and the perfect amount of food. After flipping through photos from over a decade earlier, I realized this was the same location we stayed at over a decade ago. At that time, it had a different owner, and we used a Groupon to cover the costs. We would definitely stay again! It was a great price for the value, cleanliness, and hospitality. Thanks!

I always love the welcoming style of a bed n breakfast, hotels are a little cold and harsh feeling to me. This is a gorgeous home, you'll feel like you're staying in an old mansion, the parking is in the driveway so navigating to your room is like walking up to your house. The rooms and furnishings are gorgeous and classically decadent. Although vintage nothing feels worn or old, everything's in great shape, well taken care of and very stylish. It was easy to see and feel how wonderful this location is, but what we didn't expect was the phenominal service. They do not skimp on the breakfast, the options are tasty, decorative, well thought out, and fantastically balanced. From the colors to the ingredients it was a joy to view and consumed. We stayed the night at a friends for one of the nights and made sure we ran back for the breakfast (and we are not morning people!). They make you feel so cared for and we left with so much joy in our hearts. I'm very grateful for them. Cheers to Sandy and Joe! You have done a wonderful job of making an exceptional place feel extra special.
