Well - I am a girl of my word. When my now husband proposed, one of the first phone calls I made was to Morgan at Spreading Lovely. Morgan is EXCEPTIONAL at what she does. From the moment I hired her, I already felt a sense of peace knowing that I had the best possible person in place to execute my wedding to perfection... Morgan and her team did exactly that. Morgan was hired for month of coordination services. From our first meeting it was clear that her primary goal was to make and keep me happy - I felt her genuine care and concern around every detail. She was so "locked in" at that meeting that it was clear NOTHING would slip through the cracks. Through the entire experience, it felt like I was working with an absolute pro and also a genuine friend. Morgan always had my interests and well-being in mind and knew exactly what to do in every scenario. Morgan went above and beyond the call of duty to make sure my day was special, flawless and exactly what I was dreaming of. I am forever grateful to Morgan and her team. They gave me the greatest gift of all - the ability to LET GO. As an admitted control freak and professional wedding planner - handing over your day to someone else to run with is scary. Well... not with Morgan at the helm of the ship. When the day of the wedding came, the unthinkable happened - I did not worry about a single detail. If you knew me, you'd realize what an insane feat this is. This is the true testament of Morgan and her greatness. If you are looking for a wedding planner that is equal parts professional, bad ass and kind - look no further then Morgan Miller!

After interviewing a ton of other planners and partial planners that all seemed to blur together, talking to Morgan was like talking to a friend. She has a calm demeanor, but you can see she has a passion for what she does and excitement she brings to all of her clients. That passion was evident throughout the entire process and her calmness was such an asset when any issue or stress-point would come up. The entire process was a joy, which I know is not the case in wedding planning so often. Morgan was able to create a design brief from our all-over-the-board style to a cohesive look and feel for the wedding that was even more beautiful than I could have imagined, but still felt so us. She helped us find rentals for what we could rent and pointed us in the direction for the cheapest options to buy other items which was so helpful. The end result was not only stunning, but more importantly stress-free for us and our parents which was the most important thing we wanted out of a planner. Numerous guests, after-the-fact, commented how all of us just looked so happy and stress-free. Guests pick up on that, and they were totally right - we were able to completely enjoy ever minute of the wedding weekend. Both my husband and I cannot say enough good things about Morgan. Hire her today - you will not regret it!

It's really easy to give someone 5 stars when everything goes "perfectly." But sometimes it's when…read morethings don't go exactly as expected that one finds out who really stands out, and in this case it's Erin. To give some context, we recently celebrated our son's first birthday (which is a huge event in our culture) and the initial meetings with Erin were spot on. Her ideas, taste and vision were aligned with mine and I was so excited to work with her. After our initial "idea board" meeting I couldn't stop smiling because the details she had said she would bring to the party were so cute and unique and I couldn't wait to see them brought to life on the big day. Throughout the planning process she was extremely responsive, detail oriented, kind and just awesome in all ways. We also threw her the curveball of working with the schedule of two small children with their naps and she approached it with calm and flexibility. I should also mention that I'm an extremely picky and detail oriented person and lets say I put the "A" in type A personality and am a perfectionist so my expectations are always high. Having said this, on the day of the event the party's timeline, vendors, organizational details, logistics went smoothly. However there were a couple of items that we had discussed at the initial "idea board" that didn't happen and unfortunately they were related to significant cultural and family tradition aspects of the event so suffice to say I was saddened and frankly a bit shocked on what had happened. Mind you that the guests had an awesome time and it was a magical party and no one else noticed except mama bear. Usually at this point it would go downhill with most vendors, but I'm someone who likes to ask people "what happened" when things don't go according to expectations so I contacted Erin. First off, I could tell she was deeply affected and saddened and took it to heart that the event had not met my expectations. What I found impressive was her passion and heart in this party was genuine and she took it personally that I wasn't completely happy. Additionally, at no time was she defensive or coming up with excuses. She listened and asked without prompting "what can I do" and understood where I was coming from. We ended up doing a redo of the missing elements and while not a replacement for what I had wished happened at the party, it ended up being perfect. Additionally her professional conduct, authenticity as an overall sweetheart of a person and personal investment in her events speaks volumes. So would I use Erin again? In a heartbeat yes! If it wasn't clear, she has the most amazing style and taste that really is unique and personal. My husband is the rustic, natural type and I'm the whimsical, styled, elegent type and she was able to combine both. I also know that we ALL make "boo boos" for one reason or another and sometimes things happen and I know I wouldn't want to be defined by something that didn't go quite right. I know that Erin has been in this business since 2008 and based on her other reviews and what I did experience from her she is stellar at what she does but as with all things, sometimes something just falls through the crack and in this case it was some elements from our event. And honestly, I think we were that 1 in a million and any and all future events with Erin would be pefect :) But what defines someone to me is how they react/respond when confronted with it and Erin's response couldn't have been better. So 5 truly deserved stars for Your Event by Erin.

Danielle is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G. And I am not one to hand out compliments excessively. I had extremely…read morehigh expectations of all our vendors for our wedding, and Danielle was hands-down the best of the lot. To put it in context, I worked at a high-end florist when I was at Stanford, and I went through proposals from floral designers that do arrangements for French Laundry, Chez Panisse, Delfina etc etc. But Danielle fit our style, both aesthetically and personality-wise, perfectly. Both my fiance and I knew from the minute we first met her that she was it. Our first meeting happened completely last minute, and Danielle made the effort to meet us for breakfast at 830am in Palo Alto, when she lives in the city (when she's up in Northern CA, and not in LA, that is). She had her work on her handy dandy iPad to show us, and we explained to her our vision - modern, elegant, authentic, full of color and life - but not over the top extravagant. After our table mock-up at the rental company, my then-fiance told me that he had never believed that florals could be so beautiful. Danielle picked up cases of fruits that my mom provided for our wedding day arrangements, she sourced lily of the valley and other fresh seasonal flowers, supplied butcher paper for the kids tables for crayon drawing, and created stunningly beautiful tables at our wedding. Her sense of style is impeccable, and everyone could not stop raving about how gorgeous the flowers (and frankly, everything) were. She ended up providing design guidance on a variety of things from the lighting and draping in the barn, to ceremony aisle decor made up of small kumquat planters, to day-of signage, and she was resourceful up until the very end. She even brought leftover arrangements to our day after brunch so that our guests could enjoy the arrangements for just a little longer. We had an amazing wedding - not just because it was so perfectly planned and beautifully executed - but that definitely helped. As my hubby says, he thought ppl who wanted over-the-top weddings were always a little misguided - until we had our own - and having memories that are just that gorgeous really do add to how special the memories become. And those special memories absolutely wouldn't be as beautiful as they are without Danielle's artful eye apparent everywhere that day.

At first I thought she only covered LA, but to my delight, I realized she did weddings in SF as well! Danielle is not only a great floral designer but has holistic artistic vision. I didn't have a planner/designer, and with Danielle I didn't need one. I gave her photos of my design inspiration, flowers I liked, and decoration details, and she helped me pull my thoughts together. I loved loved loved our flowers. She took my ideas, and took them much further, pulling together a cohesive look that was still fresh. Our wedding made it into Style Me Pretty's Best of 2012, and Danielle deserves a lot of the credit!
