    Birchdfield Yogurt, think birch beer

It is unfortunate that it took a pandemic to get me to shop here however I am more than happy to be a regular customer now. The Farm Shop has very limited hours, even before the COVID-19 pandemic and the shop is very small. Honestly these may be some of the reasons I avoided the them. During the pandemic they have taken the extra precautions; masks are required to shop, the counter has been brought nearly to the door and plastic shields are in place. Additionally the staff wears their masks and gloves while working in the shop. Something else that has driven my coming here is a change in diet, now more than previously I eat yogurt as a snack. This is the product that caught my eye one Saturday morning and what has kept me coming back. All their products are locally made or sourced, at the Farm Shop you'll find local eggs, yogurts in a variety of flavors (Greek yogurt based upon the tang), breads and pastries from Butter Block, biscotti from Biscotti for Everybotti and a number of self branded jams, jellies, other canned/jarred goods, pierogies, soups and honey combs. So far I've become a big fan of the yogurts, the flavors vary week to week and quantities are limited based upon how the sell out. The base of the yogurts are all the same with various items added to create different flavors however plain yogurt is also available. After that I am a fan of the pierogies I recently tried two different varieties, one being sauerkraut and mushroom and the other being farm cheese and potato. Additionally I've tried some of their soups, the split pea (meatless) and the spicy mexican chicken. Both were pretty good and when in the mood and depending on flavors I'd continue to buy soups. Something fun and out the box for me was an early spring ramp yogurt sauce I tried. This sauce had amazing onion like flavor, was cooling, aromatic and was perfect on a curry chicken wrap and a beef and swiss burger that I made. Although called a sauce you could use it as a spread or dip. Some of their products come in glass jars, it is strongly encouraged that you wash and return those items for future reuse. They have one consistent collection box out 24/7 and additional crates are in place when they are open. They even take egg cartons for reuse. A word of warning however, they are popular. I don't know if it is because of the pandemic and more people are coming or if it is because of the pandemic and people now queue while maintaining social distancing however both Friday and Saturday morning a line forms heading down Lexington and I suspect many goods are sold well before I make my appearance when I do not need to be in queue. I am glad so many people are supportive of this small business at this time and I am glad that I can do my part in supporting them and their great products.

Farm Shop is a treasure in Buffalo! It is a short walk for me, and I come here often. I love seeing new items on the menu every week and specials with other businesses. Some items I picked up today were monkey bread from Butter Block and yogurts to try from White Cow Dairy.

Cutest shop ever! Everything is fresh. The chicken pot pie is to die for. I'm going to go back and try the yogurts:)

I love making my own yogurt, so it was nice to see someone else out there selling it to the locals. Great, tangy, taste that I love.

I've never tried yogurt as good as this, since all of the grocery store bought stuff tastes so sweet or fake.

I placed a to-go order over the phone and they were just being packed up at the promised time. My order consisted of a single order of hot wings that are accompanied by house made blue cheese and celery. The wings were fried and sauced perfectly! These were just the right sized and yummy. I placed my first order on Wednesday and went right back the following Friday. Please note, they do play live music from what I saw and heard people were really enjoying the show.

Central Park Grill is a neighborhood dive bar of the old school, a statement that probably…read moreencompasses both its substantial charms and its less substantial shortcomings. It features: 1) reasonably priced drinks, a fundamental part of the constitution of dive bars, offered in exchange for you overlooking the generally aged and squalid character of the establishment as a whole. 2) Two large indoor areas (the up and down of a split-level), the rear of which frequently hosts often-free live music (there's a Thursday open mic I attend), plus an outdoor patio for the warmer months. 3) Multiple TV's for the sports fans plus electric darts and a jukebox to pass the time. 4) Surprisingly good bar food that is also surprisingly veg and vegan-friendly. This is also quite reasonably priced, but the incredibly tiny kitchen area at the west end of the bar can get overwhelmed during rushes, leading to lengthy wait times. 5) Folksy and direct service of the dive-bar variant: friendly and colloquial, the more so the better known you are, without the greasy and obsequious taint of corporatism. Parking is on-street, but maybe you're allowed to use the lot across from it? It has no sign and I've never asked. In any case, CPG is a keeper if you're partial to the benefits of shot-and-beer, working-class local pubs.

This is the first review I've written in years, but I needed to say it because other customers…read moreshould be prepared for what they may encounter at this business. From 2020 on we used to get food, snacks, beer and other stuff here very regularly...like three times a day sometimes. We got dinner from here at least three times a week and we loved it. At some point a new owner took over and a lot things went downhill. We eventually had to stop going there all together because of all the mistakes and lack of accountability. We recently tried them again and was happy with the food. Well, that was short lived. The last three times we've placed an order online it hasn't even been started by the time they said it would be ready and we have to wait. In addition to that, it has been totally wrong with missing items each time. It happened again this morning, our order was missing two orders of hash browns. I called the listed number in an attempt to get a refund (because this is the third time and it's adding up) and it's off the hook, busy signal. This isn't new. The kitchen literally takes the phone receiver off the cradle so that they won't receive phone orders. My husband has witnessed it in person. Apparently they don't want to cook. Since the renovation the phone is digital, but they still turn it off. This has been happening since the new owner took over and he won't do anything about it. This is strange to me. Doesn't he want business? Anyways, sorry for the long review. We can't get food here anymore (again) because times are rough (again again) and I'm not going to buy from a shop that won't refund for wrongly prepared or even completely missing items. Bye Elmwood Market (AGAIN, out of chances)!
