On this quick visit, I picked up an ice cream sandwich (insanely delicious), a giant cinnamon roll for my littles, and a Butter Block Pop-Tart. Every single item was a hit. I'm now fully invested in stalking Quokka Sweets, the queen of seasonally inspired ice cream creations. Her peanut butter caramel cream cheese sammie is still living rent-free in my head--so rich, creamy, salty, sweet, with just the right tang from the cream cheese, all sandwiched between two soft graham cracker blondies. Unreal. Also officially keeping tabs on Savage Wheat Project after my kids immediately said, "Let's eat more of their treats." And honestly... Butter Block's homemade Pop-Tarts? Say less. Stopped in here after lunch for a little snack and to check it out. This place might be small but it is mighty! This spot is filled to the brim with awesome goodies. Whether you're looking for a quick snack, or some groceries for the week, you can find so much here. I just got a couple of baked goods as an afternoon treat. I got a homemade blueberry poptart and a peanut butter cookie. The poptart had so much flavor in the filling and a really great thickness. The peanut butter cookie is so rich and sweet. It was the best because it was not overpowering with flavor but still so good. I can't wait to go back and grab some bagels, juice, and even some coffee from this little shop. Finally made a point of finding this little shop and browsing its contents. As others have noted, it's tiny, but really stocked! The reason I wanted to stop by is that they sell Savage Wheat products, which I"ve been wanting to try. Purchased what might be considered a granola bar: cashew pumpkin honey nut bar, for $5.00 which seemed steep to me, but all pricing in there is high compared to grocery stores. Anyway, the bar is delicious! Some day, when I have special guests coming for a meal, I will buy a loaf of Savage Wheat bread, but at $9.00/loaf... There's no nutrition info on the bar, which is both disappointing and annoying. I didn't check the bread that carefully. read more

A hidden gem off of Elmwood that offers fresh one of a kind healthy treats. We had the best kefir blackberry drink from there today and I can't wait to go back and try another flavor. The Farm Shop also supports other farms and local businesses by selling their products. The granola bars were a hit and some local dark chocolate with coffee. I know the Farm Shops yogurt is high quality and tasty too. It's organic and you can taste the difference. read more

It is unfortunate that it took a pandemic to get me to shop here however I am more than happy to be a regular customer now. The Farm Shop has very limited hours, even before the COVID-19 pandemic and the shop is very small. Honestly these may be some of the reasons I avoided the them. During the pandemic they have taken the extra precautions; masks are required to shop, the counter has been brought nearly to the door and plastic shields are in place. Additionally the staff wears their masks and gloves while working in the shop. Something else that has driven my coming here is a change in diet, now more than previously I eat yogurt as a snack. This is the product that caught my eye one Saturday morning and what has kept me coming back. All their products are locally made or sourced, at the Farm Shop you'll find local eggs, yogurts in a variety of flavors (Greek yogurt based upon the tang), breads and pastries from Butter Block, biscotti from Biscotti for Everybotti and a number of self branded jams, jellies, other canned/jarred goods, pierogies, soups and honey combs. So far I've become a big fan of the yogurts, the flavors vary week to week and quantities are limited based upon how the sell out. The base of the yogurts are all the same with various items added to create different flavors however plain yogurt is also available. After that I am a fan of the pierogies I recently tried two different varieties, one being sauerkraut and mushroom and the other being farm cheese and potato. Additionally I've tried some of their soups, the split pea (meatless) and the spicy mexican chicken. Both were pretty good and when in the mood and depending on flavors I'd continue to buy soups. Something fun and out the box for me was an early spring ramp yogurt sauce I tried. This sauce had amazing onion like flavor, was cooling, aromatic and was perfect on a curry chicken wrap and a beef and swiss burger that I made. Although called a sauce you could use it as a spread or dip. Some of their products come in glass jars, it is strongly encouraged that you wash and return those items for future reuse. They have one consistent collection box out 24/7 and additional crates are in place when they are open. They even take egg cartons for reuse. A word of warning however, they are popular. I don't know if it is because of the pandemic and more people are coming or if it is because of the pandemic and people now queue while maintaining social distancing however both Friday and Saturday morning a line forms heading down Lexington and I suspect many goods are sold well before I make my appearance when I do not need to be in queue. I am glad so many people are supportive of this small business at this time and I am glad that I can do my part in supporting them and their great products. read more

Stopped in for the first time today and had a great experience! Was pleasantly surprised to see how many local products they carried other than just White Cow Dairy. I came in just to get yogurt, but also picked up one Butter Block's oreos and scarfed it down, Their oreos are OMG so amazing, both the cream filling and the cookie! Also got two yogurts- rhubarb which I just enjoyed at home and it was delicious, as well as pumpkin creme. My friends got a few of the pastries from Butter Block as well as yogurt too. The store also carries chocolate from Dark Forest Chocolate in Lancaster, as well as local honey, kombucha from Barrel and Brine, and more! Will come back for sure not just for yogurt, but also to keep up with whatever other local products they get in. Shop is small. Street parking wasn't bad on a Saturday, parked on Lexington. Great stop if you're in the area, or if haven't tried their yogurt yet. But beware, it's amazingly addictive. read more

I'm not sure why I was not aware of this place until a month ago. Cant imagine how "I missed it". But happily we discovered them at the Hertel Ave/Blackbird Sweets Winter Market a few weeks ago. At the winter market we picked up some of their small yogurts - one lime and one other. They are small, but the yogurt is so rich that small spoonfulls have a lot of impact. Each bottle costs a steep $3. But when you think about keeping the animals, milking them, making the yogurt, buying the small "better for the environment" bottles, labels and printing, you can see how it gets to $3 fairly quickly. I visited their small store on Ashland a few weeks later, picked up some more small yogurts, this time another lime and a berry one, and one of the larger plain yogurts ($8 I think). The plain is also really really good. If you return the larger jar, you get $1 off a refill of it. That's reasonable. I do think you should get a refund on returning the smaller jars as well, like the jams man at the North Tonawanda Farmers Market who takes .50 off if you return a jar and buy another. They also have some coffees at the store, a whole series of jams and the like and some breads on the weekend. Farm fresh eggs are plentiful here. Some tonics and other things like that. Parking at both the Winter Market and Ashland is street, hit or miss. read more

This is the small business to support during (and after) the pandemic!!! I've never tried yogurt as good as this, since all of the grocery store bought stuff tastes so sweet or fake. The veggies were also good! We have yet to try everything but we will be coming regularly. Remember to wear a mask and make up your mind with the menus placed outdoors! read more

Although I was beyond crushed when White Cow Dairy stopped selling their amazing yogurts and dairy tonics ANYWHERE, their product is good enough for an extra stop. The past few weeks my husband and I have made the pilgrimage to this quaint shop down the street from Vera. Only open a few days a week they carry many varieties of yogurt and dairy tonics. Also have maple syrup, eggs, grass-fed meat and some small pottery dishes. I already knew I loved their yogurt but the shop is very nice. They accept cards too which is nice, thanks to Square. Make it a stop following the Elmwood-Bidwell market and you will not be disappointed! My favorite flavors of yogurt are the raspberry, gingerberry and peach beret. Big fan of the raspberry dairy tonic. I bought some maple syrup but haven't used it yet, it's made from maple trees that are right on the dairy farm. read more

I wish they sold at places closer to where I live, but at least i stocked up during my visit to buffalo. This place is a gem! Great yogurt but also an eclectic collection of baked goods, frozen pies and soups, shrub, custards, and even rabbit! It's nice to be able to buy foods that taste home-prepared. Great little shop in the heart of Elmwood village. They have awesome custard from White Cow Dairy as well as many other products. The yogurt has a strong earthiness to it, if you're into that. There is also fresh pastry from Butter Block, the croissant are on point. Also available are eggs from local farmers such as Prudoms which are awesome. I've also seen other little things like honey and bees wax, fleece, jam, and various other value added farm items. It's a great little shop. read more

I can't say enough good things about the Farm Shop. There is a level of sticker shock, however, you do get what you pay for-and boy is their stuff delicious!!! You can't go wrong. Try the yogurt-all fresh and natural ingredients. My husband is obsessed with the vanilla custard-it's a mini meal in a jar. If you're lucky enough to catch the baked goods by Butter Block-DO NOT pass them up-you will hate yourself later! The sea salt chocolate chip cookies....superb!! If you love all natural ingredients and you love yogurt, look no further. You will not find a fresher more delicious tasting yogurt anywhere. It is so worth the drive to this little shop on Lexington & Ashland. Among other fare like custards and jams, to name a few, the apricot and lemon yogurts are simply the best (or maybe just my favorites). On Saturdays you may catch some freshly baked cinnamon buns or other such treat for sale at their small but quaint storefront shop. I hear they are doing some savory yogurts as well. If you are truly a farm to table person, you need to get over there and try their offerings! A definite 5 star! read more
