They had tons of…read moreFood Trucks that offered a variety of domestic and international food options, snacks, speciality drinks, candy, desserts, and carnival fare. There was also a row of local vendor booths that offered goods for sale, as well as informational booths. Most of the food trucks offered reasonable and affordable prices, but a handful of them had absolutely crazy prices. One food truck was serving pasta and wanted an astounding $22-$23 for one bowl of pasta, we quickly skipped past that booth along with everyone else who saw their incredibly high prices. There was a stage with live music, and the band was absolutely fantastic. But that wasn't the only entertainment this event had to offer... Surprisingly, they even had live wrestling... it was very entertaining. My 11yo son sat with his mouth opened the whole show... he didn't know what to think. But we all highly enjoyed it. On the other side of the event area, there was a carnival with rides, games, and a fun house. It was a lot of fun watching the riders laughing and screaming their heads off on the thrill rides. Everyone we came across was friendly, helpful, and just seemed happy to be there. We brought our puppy with us, and he had a great time too. He even made himself a few new puppy friends. I highly recommend this event. We will definitely come back again next year.

They had a lot of seating, a lot of different food, entertainment and rides. Best part of all? NO Admission fee!! I wish NV would cut the crappy Admission Fees! Were going to spend money at your event, so why pay to get in??? I enjoyed seeing all the dogs enjoy the nice weather and the wrestling event was very entertaining. This was a perfect time to hold this event. November in NV has perfect weather! Only thing lacking this week was not enough Vegan food. Only 3 trucks.... :( It was a very nice event and parking also was easy!! I got a great spot and had no problem getting in or out. This was fantastic.

We met several times over a 7 month period to prepare our wine. We'd make a party out of it each time. We each brought a bottle of wine and an appetizer to share. They have an area set up with tables for us to place it all. They provided us with wine glasses and pitchers of water. The staff is so knowledgeable about wine production and they did a great job explaining the process to us on each visit. On this particular visit, our wine was complete, so we were all part of the assembly line that got to bottle it up. We each took a case of wine home. Now I have 12 bottles of delicious wine to continue enjoying!

For a flat rat of just over $30 with tax, participants are given everything they need to create their own work of art: the canvas, paint, brushes, templates, and step-by-step instruction from Tommy Vinci. Participants also receive a beverage and pastry of their choice. I have never participated in any of the wine and painting classes that seem to be all the rage in Vegas these days, so I can't compare Caffeine and Canvas to them. I can say that every time I have gone, my artwork turned out far better than I expected, thanks to the helpful guidance of Tommy. And I struggle to draw a stick figure, so the fact that I am happy with my painting after 2 hours is saying a LOT. I also have an absolute blast every time I go... The Grouchy John's staff are always fabulous, Tommy is both hilarious and helpful and the other participants are friendly and fun. Caffeine and Canvas is a super fun way to spend a couple hours getting your creative juices flowing. I highly recommend it!

I was here from beginning to end not as a participant but as a volunteer. My parents live on the way at Flamingo and Boulder, east by the mountains, and so I figure I can visit them then work a little bit before going off and hanging out friends afterwards. Ended up at YelpHQ instead but that was even more fun. As a volunteer, time working the booth really flew by. Then again, time flies by when you're having fun. I thought our team leader was gonna be late so I wanted to run the show but she was there. There were tons of volunteers as well, Yelp was given two booths out of the twenty to man and one of those booths had a photo booth for memories. I hope you readers that attended took advantage of that! The start of the event was at 7pm, each wine glass was to be filled with 1 oz of wine. Our booth (#3) had a.. wait for it.. let me get a hell yea for the Thorny Rose a Pinot Grigio, a refreshing white wine with melon, lemon, and other perfect fruity combinations. We were given a sheet to display what this wine was but as a group we memorized it in case people asked. I told some people it was a Horny Rose, but they must have been toasted since they didn't catch on. It was so good that we weren't even allowed to taste it but people wanted us to stamp another booth's number so they can have seconds. Nope, sorry! I do believe other tables were pouring over 1 oz of wine though. Portion control is important because by 9PM the wine was running low and we were completely out soon after. Some of the wine tables were hidden from the main pathway also so I kept having people come up to me asking where whatever table number was where. Maybe the tables could be placed in numerical order so they can backtrack if they caught themselves skipping one by accident? But hey vino fans, next time do come early so you can sample the wines and after you're done and have gotten your good fix you can sit around on the grass and enjoy the entertainment provided or eat at a restaurant. It was sad to see the pizza place closed though! Wine goes perfect with pizza, didn't you know that? In the end just know that you participated in a fundraiser for a good cause and hope you checked in and received your free wine glass charm. Shout outs to my fellow volunteers Pam, Ron, Robin and her dude, Vanessa, Tony, Nathan, Christina, Arvin, Anthony, Shirley, and Teri who had to leave early cause of a stomach bug. If I missed anyone else I apologize! And to everyone who stopped by the Yelp booth to say hi and chit chat about Yelp, you guys are awesome. And the "unofficial" line that was formed with people checking in or downloading the app, signing up, then checking in, we didn't mean for it to happen but thank you to those people as well. A votre sante!
