Located on 89th street rather than on 2nd avenue it is easy for miss this great new take out spot. My favorite was the spicy vodka sauce with chicken, though the pesto was also quite good. While you can walk in or order through one of the online ordering platforms linked on their website I recommend checking to see if they have any uber eats deals running. I found a great buy one get one deal the other day!

Welcome to the neighborhood Farina on 2nd. This cute pasta place is such a welcome addition to the Upper east side. Reading the last review I had no idea this was a vegan pasta spot. The staff who work here are super friendly and helpful. I had alot of questions about ingredients due to my food allergies a d they were super helpful. All of the pasta is made fresh and in house. I got the rigatoni with regular tomato sauce and I added in chicken and caramelized onions. Wow super flavorful! It also comes in a one size container and it may not look like alot of pasta but you can definitely get two meals out of it. I will for sure be returning and trying out their other types of pasta and sauces too. They do have a few seating options but many. It is really more of a take out place in my opinion.

Although small, this place has a great concept for quick, quality pasta. Its location is prime as it's near so much in UES. Came here from a quick Yelp search and was very satisfied with how easy it is to build your own pasta dish. You see them make everything fresh right as you wait too. All three pasta were amazing and the portions were crazy generous! The staff was knowledgeable and the space was quite comforting to dine in. Will definitely be coming back again.

Delicious vegan-friendly homemade pasta! We were so excited to hear that they don't put egg in their homemade noodles. Just good quality flour + water. The tomato basil sauce is vegan, so that's what we tried, and we loved it! Will definitely be returning.

Had to leave a review mid-meal because the food is toooo amazing! And the service was perfect, pasta is made fresh with flour shipped from Italy, no bleach or additives!! Definitely my new fav lunch spot for work

Rigatoni with spicy vodka sauce and grilled chicken -- so good!

9/17/26 I was in Harlem for a short while then made my way…read moreback to Penn Station and decided to stop by this restaurant. It was hard to find gps wise if you've never been there, I went past it by a city block. It's located in a gigantic plaza that you get to by the stairs outside. There was free wine in the elevator that you really couldn't see in (very dark) I didn't indulge in it the first time. It was pretty busy inside, since I was a party of 1, I asked if it's mandatory to sit by the bar and it wasn't. I was seated on the left side across from the bar at a smaller table by the window. At first I was bothered by the foot traffic behind me but pushed the table further in & felt better. Now for the food: I ordered the caramelized onion torta and listen it was wayy too rich for just one person, this is definitely a sharing appetizer for dare I say minimum 3 people. The richness was definitely overkill, I brought my own sparkling water but ordered an Arnold Palmer to calm down that flavor. While it had a good crust on the cheese and nice pastry on the bottom, I wish I had ordered something else. Quite expensive to not enjoy it (5/10). I passed on the vegetable part of the menu. Entree: Cavatelli Allo Scoglio, so delicious. I've never had that type of pasta in a dish before but it compliments it well, cooked to perfection. It comes with plenty of crab and the lemon zest balanced the dish just right against the acids of the tomatoes. (9/10) Dessert: I was torn if I should order dessert or not but what's a meal without sweets. They had plenty of gelato flavors but I decided to go with hazelnut and man I was not disappointed. BEST gelato I've ever had. It was so creamy and delectable that I still think about it to this day. The cup it comes in seems small but they pack it with more than you think. I almost passed on the candied hazelnuts on top but please don't do it lol, chefs kiss just perfect. (10/10) On the way out I was going to try the wine and grabbed a glass but again in the dark elevator I turned on my flashlight to see the cups there were all used. I think they should come around often to leave clean glasses or put up a sign to identify which are clean and which aren't. Overall I'd return for the entree and dessert and maybe try a vegetable option over the other appetizers. Also, props to my waiter for being attentive and kind.

It's hard to find affordable-ish dining in Chelsea these days but Fumo definitely hits that mark…read morewith mixing Italian fine dining and affordability. There are numerous locations now in the city but this was my first time going and I was definitely eyeing it for awhile. They do weekday lunch specials of $14 pastas, boozey weekend brunches for around $24/25(not including food), and $12 Sunday dinner specials on entrees as well as happy hours on weekdays from 4-7pm that include: $7 snacks, $8 wine, $5 beer, $9 spritzes, and $9 wells. I happened to come in for Labor Day Brunch on Saturday. We both said we were going to do unlimited but honestly could only finish about a pitcher of mimosa and they only charged us for the one pitcher was the nice part. I went with Carbonara Pasta and my boyfriend had the egg, bacon, and cheese sandwich with fries. I'm not gonna lie, I've never gone to aycd brunch and have not finished my food but I could not finish my entree it was so massive and filling. I haven't had a pasta this rich in ages and it was so so good and I am all for not having those skimpy little portions. He couldn't finish his sandwich either. I tried one of the fries and it was nicely battered thick cut wedge fries. Maybe I haven't been eating out alot lately but I was legit impressed. The staff was wonderful and thoughtful. The cafe in itself is very cute and Italian with black and white marble in the bathrooms, white marble bar top, hanging plants, interesting light fixtures. I'm definitely going to make a point to come back soon.

This means those dishes aren't truly gluten free for people with celiac disease or anyone who has to avoid gluten. When I pointed that out to my server, he just gave me a blank stare. I tried to explain why labeling those items as gluten free is misleading, but he seemed completely disinterested, even annoyed, dismissed what I was saying, and simply responded that the pasta is gluten free. I acknowledged that the server doesn't write the menu, but absolutely zero customer service skills. The service overall was lacking. Aside from taking our order, no one checked on us or came back to see if we needed anything. Our server was just hanging out chatting up the hostess. We had to request the bill from the manager & paid at the hostess stand. Before paying, I spoke with the manager and explained what had occured. He was more professional than the server, but he was still dismissive of my concerns and of the service we received. Management seemed happy enough to promote the "option". The food was okay, definitely not enough to make up for the poor service and handling of a serious dietary issue. Needless to say I will not be returning.

The interior was completely packed, and the noise level was high enough for my smart watch to complain. To sample a bit of everything, we shared two orders of focaccia, four pastas, and one dessert. HOUSE-MADE FOCACCIA - 10 Super bouncy with a bit of chew, this was probably the best focaccia I've ever eaten. It came generously drizzled with olive oil and alongside chopped peppers drenched in even more olive oil, which added a nice little kick. We highly recommend starting with this. TAGLIATELLE - 27 Out of the four pastas, this was my absolute favorite. I love the thin yet chewy texture of the tagliatelle, and the bolognese sauce was rich and hearty. Finished with just the right amount of Parmigiano, both the pasta texture and sauce were sheer perfection. PICI 'CACIO E PEPE' - 23 This was such a simple pasta, yet so delicious. It was incredibly creamy and cheesy, with hints of fresh black pepper flavor that blew standard at-home black pepper grinders out of the water. Despite it being the simplest pasta of the night, I enjoyed it immensely. RIGATONI - 32 This pasta was simple yet slightly innovative, featuring sausage paired with a broccoli-based pesto. There was a slight bitterness that was polarizing among our group. While this wasn't my favorite pasta, I appreciated the creativity. PERCIATELLI NERO - 35 This dish packed in more components than just pasta and sauce: plenty of crab, tomatoes, and crispy breadcrumbs on top. However, the combination wasn't very memorable. None of the flavors really stood out, and it was my least favorite pasta of the night. OLIVE OIL CAKE - 14 Served with a pile of golden raisins and fancy whipped cream, this ended up being a bit of a miss. The raisins were a bit too sweet, and the cake's texture was uneven -- some bites were soft and moist, while others felt dry. A couple of others in my group also felt the same way. Overall, I'd give L'Artusi a 4.5/5; it was mostly hits with a couple of misses. The pasta portions are quite small. Since each dish is primarily carbs and sauce, I'd imagine you'll likely need an appetizer or a pasta and a half to leave full. Still, I'd definitely come back for the focaccia, tagliatelle, and the cacio e pepe.

It's obvious they use quality ingredients and the kitchen is technically very sound. The pasta in particular was cooked perfectly. Everything we had was good and well executed, but nothing really jumped out at me or felt especially memorable. There are several places around the city that I feel can deliver a similar meal and experience without quite as much hype. That's not to say I didn't enjoy L'Artusi, because I absolutely did. It just didn't separate itself from some of the other really good Italian restaurants I've visited. Service was great, the atmosphere was nice, and overall we had a very enjoyable dinner. Just one where my expectations may have been a little higher than the experience delivered.

Water and excellent bread arrived immediately and the waiter was helpful describing dishes and giving advice. Salads were fresh and crisp. Caesar was nicely dressed and the mixed salad was a nice combination with well balanced herb vinaigrette. Seafood dishes had large amounts of fresh seafood and the veal picatta had the lemony flavor you expect without excessive acidity. Dessert was tasty and innovative. The ricotta based cheese cake wasn't as smooth as the cream cheese form but the citrus flavor was great. The carbonara had a great smokiness from the meat, and the risotto was cooked well as was most of the seafood in it.
