We were welcomed by three people as soon as we walked in. Incredible customer service! Lydia was fantastic and sold us on several of her favorites immediately. So many sweet treats to try. Ice creams, cakes, baklava, crepes anything you can imagine. The atmosphere was clean and beautiful and I could see myself relaxing here drinking Turkish coffee and doing work for hours. This is the best of the best when it comes to the middle eastern sweets and pastry delights. They have a wide variety of every kind of sweet. Biscoff and Tres Leche are must haves. I also tried the Rochet crepe and it was sweet heaven. A layer of crepe topped with crushed fererro rochet hazelnut chocolate then topped with while and milk chocolate then served with custard fruits and ice cream. There is Turkish baklava filled with ashta, loved it. Actually all the Turkish baklava options I tried wEre greaT. The Nutella kunafa is ridiculous. We've tried Cathay sweets for a while now and we have had decent experience with them specially with cakes and other mideastern desserts, BUT we had a special order for a cake for my son's birthday and I can't explain how horrible it tasted. I mean the look of the cake was decent, not great but decent! In the other hand, it tasted bitter, and slimy and the cream color stuck to our hands for the whole day even with washing our hands so many times. The service was good. We went based off a recommendation. The food was decent. I got a slice of chocolate cake, bunch of baklava, some kind of pistachio cookie, meat pies and a cheese bread. Very clean Pastry Shop and friendly staff! They have frozen yogurt with plenty of toppings and of course traditional sweets like blakava (so good) The winner for me is the stuffed cronuts ... I recommend getting a least two because the first one will go too quick. read more

I was blown away by this place!! When my sister told me she wanted to eat crepes here, I humored her as this is a Middle Eastern bakery which also has crepes, kronuts, cakes, froyo and like a thousand other deserts. The Bavarian kronut was heavenly I would go back continuously just to have that alone. That is my very first recommendation. Next, the froyo which is more like a frozen custard, was absolutely delicious! The chocolate gelato one was probably my favorite. Smooth and rich in flavor. They have colorful spoons that change color as you eat from them which was a delightful touch. Lastly, the crepe was better than many places I've had crepes but not amazing. Still good though. The crepe wasn't too thin as I've had it at some places, but I would've liked it to at least have a slight crisp or crunch. Great fillings and they were super generous with the amount of fruit they packed inside the crepe. Sweets look great but customer service is absolutely terrible. Would not recommend this place based on that alone. Stood for 5 mins looking at sweets and asked the gentleman behind the counter about wedding cakes and was completely blown off. First he said they can't do it, then said they are too busy, and then said book an apt an come in before 6. He did not ask for any details, menus, or point us in any direction in terms of help. It was a simple question but they guy was extremely rude to the point where my fiancé and I walked out. If you are fine being disrespected for no reason, go to this place, but if you want to be treated with respect in an establishment where you plan to spend money, this is not the place for you. Just tried this for the first time, recently found out about this place and just grabbed some take out while we're in the city of Troy. We're normally used to go to other similar places around, but this was a good try and we'll certainly be back here. The portions are not huge, which is actually a good thing, so nothing really goes to waste and the taste is great and light.. Please stop here and try anything. We were introduced to Farhat Sweets about a year ago when we had the honest pleasure of meeting an online friend from Dubai, visiting here on a break from school. He read up on the bakeries in the area and brought us in, and we were introduced to what a real and incredible and delightful bakery is. So many senses tickled at one time just by walking in the door! Taking his advice, we tried our first kanafeh/kanafa/kunafa. Not ever would I have chosen this based on looks, which is how most of us shop. Now I've been back 3 times (I don't live very close) and that's always what I choose to eat there while enjoying a very delicious coffee. We don't have the luxury of stopping here often as we don't live or work very close, but there's no way I wouldn't stop here if I were within 5 miles. On our most recent (3rd) visit, we stayed inside for kanafeh and coffee and a pistachio/baklava sort of slice of pie. Then someone that waited on us brought out a biscotti cream dessert for our table of 5 to try/share. WOW!!! We couldn't pick a favorite. We also had two boxes of delicious cakes to take home. Last year, our son chose a birthday cake from their on site collection (we were there on a whim) and it was just incredible. Chocolate/hazelnut heaven. The staff? Incredibly sweet and nice. The desserts? The same. I wish they were in my neighborhood. Thank you to all staff there . . . I know it takes the great team that you are to do such a great service to anyone that walks in the door. We appreciate you and are looking forward to our next visit. This place is so good! Packed with different cakes, cookies, ice cream and much more! They even have chocolate baklava. The only place I've seen chocolate baklava was in Istanbul, Turkey. I went with a few piece of their cake to take home, fabulous! I ordered a half Nutella and half biscoff crepe. I have gotten several cakes from farhats sweet but My first experience was when i called and placed a cake order- THEY made me a custom EID CAKE it was SOO BEAUTIFUL AND THE INSIDE WAS SO MOIST it was a chocolate cake with chocolate mousse and chocolate ganache fully decorated and It was DELICIOUS! Last week i got the fruit cake the ( Cantaloupe cake ) for a family barbecue and they absolutely loved it! Going by the tasty sweets it offers... we went ahead and placed our son's birthday cake... with high hopes ! As others have mentioned, the baklava is absolutely wonderful. I was a bit taken aback when I was asked if I want to pistachio or walnuts, I guess I didn't know you could have either. GET THEIR CRONUTS!!!! The hype is real. They have two types: Nutella and Bavarian Creme. Our favorite is definitely the Bavarian Creme because you can really taste the cronut. The Nutella one isn't bad (I love Nutella!!!), but the Nutella taste can really overshadow the cronut. I have always learned to call ahead before I make the drive over because they can sell out on the cronuts super fast. Also, as tempted as you can get, only get a few that you can eat that day.
