This is your typical walk in nail salon. I did like that for the pedicure chairs they now have disposable liners that are single use. I feel it is much more sanitary. I got the deluxe pedicure and feel like they did a good job. This is a typical walk-in nail spa. The chairs are well used and show a lot of wear and tear. However, they use disposal liners for the basin, which I appreciate. I have paid special attention to people coming and going and have noticed that the liners are changed in between every client. Don't expect chit chat. The workers are not talkative and, in fact, most do not speak English. I've always had 2 layers of polish applied and is still in perfect shape when I go back 3 weeks later for my next pedi. The only negative is that I wish that I would receive a true foot massage instead of pounding and slapping. If I could give a zero review I would, I asked For a full set of dip nails.. first off the nail put on my pinky was broken and the lady fought me about putting a new one on, then my thumb nail was not fully glued on and when I said so the lady said it will be fine and refused to put another one on. once it was time to file I asked for square. they changed the people to file and my nails were filed at a complete slant. Once I brought it to their attention I asked for my nails to be removed because they did not look good and was then fought with about still making me pay. So I left with material still all over my finger nails that looked awful and made me pay for the service still. I never had customer service like this. i want to thank a very sweet woman who sat next to me while I had this rough experience in the salon asking the guy doing her nails nicely why I should pay for nails that I was not happy with. She then saw me upset in my car and gave me back the money I lost. So thank you, I will not be coming back to Fargo nails, they seem to only care about the money and not making their customers happy. read more

They are very unsanitary! I just left. The guy who did my pedicure pulled out dirty implements from his drawer. I also saw a lady leave from a pedicure and the women who did her pedicure wiped off her implements with a towel, stuck them in a sanitizer bag and then put them right back in the drawer with the other "ready to go tools" to be used on the next client. They do not use the autoclave or any sanitary measures to ensure that everyone is getting a safe pedicure and don't let them fool you into thinking they do just because they pull them from the bag and use a new liner. They just want people to think they do by placing them in the baggies. I will be filing a former complaint with the state. I have worked in a nail salon and I've seen first hand how it goes when people care run a salon. Be picky when it comes to things like this. read more

This is my go to spot for pedis. The staff is generally quite friendly. I never make an appointment and I've only ever waited maybe 15-20 minutes. I have had a few manicures. Nothing to write home about but I do love that the techs will make suggestions. I have long natural nails and they have repaired many a broken one for me for $3. Recently I got a gelish polish manicure which I love. It adds a layer of strength to my natural nail (and was suggested to me by one of the techs who knows I don't want acrylic or other "artificial" nails). read more

Do not go to this salon. I have more horror stories than I can list, some of my own and some from people I know. The bottom line is- they are unsanitary, unethical, and they are putting people at risk by constantly using dirty tools on customers all day long. Their various practices and if they are ever "charging" to have tools cleaned are illegal... legally they need to be cleaned anyways. (See Article 12. Health and Safety, Title 16, Division 9, California Code of Regulations-Board of Barbering and Cosmetology.) also, that's just nasty... I saw it myself when I went there in the past, a nail tech there finish nails on a customer and then try to use the same uncleaned cuticle cutting tools on the next. I have been to nail salons in both Lemoore and Hanford, but Fargo Nails is definitely my favorite. They do the best job on pedicures, and my pedicures last at least 3 weeks! All of the other places I went to only lasted a week, maybe 2. They are always nice to me and my friends whenever we go in. This is the best place around and the prices are great!!! read more

I've been here 3 times for nails and got the same guy all 3 times. The first time I got a full set the price was $65 with just gel polish and no designs. I have gone back twice for fills. The second time I went in for a fill I was Charged $38 for gel polish and 2 stones, which I thought ok he's charging for each stone, places like this charge for every small thing. Yesterday I went in for my 3rd and final fill. This time I asked for a fill and just simple polish, no designs, no stones and was charged $45. I'm afraid if I go back the price will be spiked up again. If I'm going to get charged high end prices, then I'm better off going to a nail tech in a nice salon that actually builds up your nail from acrylic and doesn't use drills and can do custom art and still have a set price every time. It's convenient to walk in and and get your nails done here, but not for your wallet. They can also be a little nicer to the customers that come in too that alone would make a difference. read more

I wanted a simple pedicure and they spent the whole time trying to up sell me for gels, a manicure, etc. So I decided to splurge and get a gel mani. For some reason, that required two men to work on my nails instead of one, which was not something I requested. Then I went to pay and it was a lot more expensive than other places...like $70 and it was just a basic pedi. So I tipped like $5 because that's all I had left and the guy says to me, this is it for both of us? Ridiculous! You shouldn't expect a tip from customers and you definitely shouldn't shame them when they don't tip as much as you want. I'm never going back here. This place used to be good when they first opened. I went a couple weeks ago and got a manicure and pedicure for an award ceremony I had to attend that night and the guy cut my toe. Have been going there well over 10 years. Today, when I walked in, they were packed as usual. When I turned ariund to come back when it was less crowded, I was chased out by one of the employees and begged to come back in. I obliged and was well on my way to another pretty good pedicure. However, she forgot to massage one of my feet because she was in a hurry to get to the next customer. I understand the necessity of completing business in a timely manner, but not short-changing the current customer. So i have been comming to this nail place for years now and always got a perfect pedicure. This last time i went i decided to get a full acrylic gel set the guy who started doing my nails was very good and gave me what i wanted perfection. The only thing that was bad was when he began to file my nails omg! he was filing my skin away it hurt so bad and he saw that i was uncomfortable but still kept on sawing my skin away;0. Anyways besides that it was a pretty good set. A couple of weeks later i came back to get a fill i decided to let anyone do them a lady just completely jacked up my nails and the shape the gel was messy and lumpy and hella crooked i was so pissed and she put some little bows on there and she didnt even ask me where i wanted them and it was already late so i didnt want to bother with her. As soon as i walked out the bows fly off my fingernails i started crying bcuz i spent Alot! of money for a shitty ass job. I decide to go back the next morning for them to fix them. I spoke to the manager and he tried to make me feel like the bad guy for not saying anything he didnt want to redo the service and on top of that he said they looked nice..smh so i was like do whatever you got to do so he madly said okay ill do them and i was expecting not to pay for the redo but he said ill give it to u for a special of $10 really!!!! DONT BOTHER! I have been there three times for pink and white fills over the last six weeks. Each time they look worse than the last! Yesterday was the last time I will ever go there. The name of the girl I had do my nails was named Mai (according to the license clipped to her station) all was fine until I left and as I looked down at my nails in the sunlight, I was aghast as the unevenness of my filed nails and the the blatant rings on my nails from the last two fills. It looked as though my nails had some sort of diseased condition to them. As I was late to a meeting, I decided I would wait until today to go back and talk to Mai. She told me that what I paid for was a fill and that it is because my nails are they way they are, there is nothing that could be done! What? Really? In twenty years no one has ever said that to me! I ask about the unevenness of the nail filing and she popped out an Emory board and started filing the edges. "There! All done now!" I was stunned! She then said she would fill all of them down and redo for $40. That would be on top of the $25 I paid yesterday! With that, I told her to forget it and that I would be looking for a new place to have my nails done! read more

I didn't have time to get my nails at home, which I came from Chico Ca. 4 1/2 hrs. away so I came to my aunts house and looked up reviews and came in to Fargo Nail Salon. BIGGEST MISTAKE EVER!!!!!! I will be lucky if my finger doesn't fall off. He took my previous nails off and ripped my entire nail off and I was bleeding so bad to where I almost passed out and didn't get my vision back for twenty mins. They didn't do anything I asked. I have been going to Fargo nails for approximately three years. Every single time I go they change the liner in the pedicure bowl. With any business there are certain people who do a better job than others. I highly recommend Kevin if you are getting a pedicure. He takes his time and does an excellent job. I am truly disgusted with this nail salon and ones similar. First of all i thought i would give it a chance, i had already been jumping around trying to find a salon that would do nails in a professional manner and at first this place seemed ok. The man doing my nails didn't seem to know what he was doing and instead of asking for help he ripped my nail off, its bad enough there is a huge language barrier and what makes the whole experience worse is that they start yapping away in their language which none of the customers can understand, it makes everyone including myself feel as if they are complaining and talking badly about the customers. Today was my first & only time getting my nails done here. I walked into an empty shop, except 9 workers sitting around eating or doing their own nails. I got a pedicure & gel manicure & was not impressed at all. The water was cold, the massage might as well have been non-existent, & the tools/towels were not clean! A lovely woman referred me to this place. I was able to walk in without an appointment and be seated in the pedi chair right away. But...I can't do a personal review because the woman who did my mani and pedi never introduced herself. Unfortunately, the review must reflect the business as a whole. Of course, I was given the dirty laminated paper listing pedicures up to $60 which repulses me immediately since the east coast offers excellent pedicures. PERIOD. I'm not used to being asked to pay 3 times as much for nothing more. Then, it almost seemed that I offended her by choosing the basic 22$ pedi instead of the glamorous $32 version. Perhaps, that is why my pedi sucked so bad. I brought my own light pink color with me. She seemed to barely even touch my feet. She motioned over them more than actually touch them. And their pedi chairs with removable bubbler tubing and plastic bag covers are the pits. She spoke her native tongue to everyone around her while simulating a pedicure with her hands. Then, she left my feet with every callouse I came in with and polish thickness so sheer you could count the lines in my toenails. And the flies landing on me ruined any chance of relaxation. Let's move on, my job doesn't permit polish or anything fancy. All I get is a basic mani with a polish. They don't offer polish. And again more simulation of manicure happened then actually touching my hands. I left with a snag on almost every nail. In conclusion, I was directed to the ATM because they accept cash only. She stated, "we charge no fee!" My bill is $32 knowing I'll need to go home and do my own mani and pedi fix. Of course you can only take out $20 at a time. So I withdrew $40 when I really wanted to use my discover card. I placed the 2-$20 bills on the counter and waited for change. She stared aimlessly at the ceiling, TV and wall. She looked at anything, but my cash until I was so uncomfortable that I left with the 20s on the counter. I figured she can keep that $8. She'll never see me again! But I get home and there's a 2.50$ fee for using their ATM. I got home, added two more coats to my toes, filed and buffed me own hands, and wrote this place off. 80% of business is repeat business people. Make a note. read more
