This company is a complete joke. They will waste your time and are extremely unprofessional…read more In late March, I scheduled a home tour through Redfin for a Saturday--selected my time, confirmed everything--and no one showed up. No call. No follow-up. I initially gave them the benefit of the doubt and assumed it may have been user error. Fast forward to April 12--I contacted Redfin and spoke with someone who provided the appointment time and details. I was told the showing would be at 5:15 PM. I submitted my driver's license as requested, and everything appeared confirmed. Shortly after, I received an automated message stating the appointment was set for 6:00 PM. The inconsistency alone was concerning, which led me to start calling the assigned agent, Courtney Burns. Courtney Burns was a complete no-call, no-show. We waited at the property, called multiple times (at least 10), and left several voicemails with no response. When she finally answered, she claimed she was caught in a rainstorm and didn't realize she had an appointment--which made no sense given that Redfin had confirmed everything and had my information on file. She rescheduled for the next day (Monday), and unbelievably, the same thing happened again. No show. No communication. After repeated calls and messages, she finally answered and said she wasn't coming, offering another last-minute excuse and attempting to reschedule yet again. At that point, it was clear this wasn't a one-time issue--this is a pattern of unprofessional and unreliable service. Given everything that occurred, it's hard not to question what's really going on. You had my ID, which includes my age and race, and despite multiple confirmed appointments, I still couldn't get anyone to show up. I truly hope that is not a factor--but based on this experience, it is a concern that cannot be ignored. And to make matters worse, I see they call themselves Redfin's "Hustletown South Team." There's no hustling happening here--just people being hustled out of their time and gas. This experience wasted our time, caused unnecessary frustration, and completely eroded any trust in Redfin's process. Based on this, I genuinely question the authenticity of the positive reviews because our experience was consistently unacceptable. If you value your time and expect basic communication and professionalism, I would strongly recommend avoiding Redfin.

During that time we were told three separate times that the property had been cleaned and was move-in ready. Each walkthrough showed otherwise -- no professional cleaning had been completed. We later learned there had been a water leak, which may have caused delays, but this was not clearly communicated upfront. When we first viewed the home, there were spider webs throughout and both dead and live roaches present. We raised these concerns and were repeatedly assured everything would be addressed before move-in. By the final walkthrough, the condition still had not been resolved, and an additional issue had come up. During that final walkthrough (yesterday), we were told that if we did not immediately pay the deposit, the owner wanted to move on to the "next applicants," even though the property issues had not been fixed. We were also told the owner had already "bent" by approving us, so it was essentially now or never. Once we confirmed we would not move forward under those conditions, we were then offered money off and the option to inspect the property after completion. At that point, it felt less like a proactive solution and more like pressure followed by a last-minute change in approach. There were also inconsistencies during the application process. When I initially called to ask about our application status, I was told there were other applicants ahead of us and we would be processed if they fell through. After I provided the address, the associate confirmed we were actually the only applicant. That kind of misinformation made the process feel disorganized. I understand that maintenance issues can happen and that properties owned by LLCs can sometimes add extra layers to communication. However, clear, accurate updates and accountability are essential when people are planning a move on a tight timeline. I hope this feedback helps improve the experience for future tenants considering this property in Richmond, TX.

August 2026: Service, Professionalism, and Care During a Difficult Time…read more If you are reading reviews while deciding whether to hire an estate sale company to manage a loved one's estate, please look past the complaints from buyers. Attending a sale as a shopper is a completely different experience than hiring a team to navigate the overwhelming process of liquidating a family member's home. Having recently hired Jennifer and her team after losing a close relative, my dad and I can say without hesitation we will definitely use her company again. Managing an estate after a loss is emotionally exhausting. While my dad and I chose not to attend the actual sale because it was simply too painful, we did stop by during the preparation staging process, and we were impressed with everything we saw. Even though we stayed away on the sale days, I asked my best friend to drop in and check things out. She came back with good feedback stating the entire operation was smooth, organized, and professional. From start to finish, Jennifer and her team handled the home with respect and attention to detail. Here is what made working with Jennifer outstanding: Setup & Staging: Seeing the prep work firsthand made the process more clear. The team transformed the home into a well-organized, nicely staged sale environment with total care for the property. While some arrangements took us by surprise at first--like placing a dining table in the garage--we knew they were the professionals and trusted their strategy. Specialized Valuations & Expertise: During the prep days, Jennifer brought in a book expert to properly evaluate and value specific items in the home. It was evident she utilizes targeted industry experts depending on the unique items being sold to ensure everything is appraised correctly. Realistic Market Pricing: As first-timers through this process, some of the initial pricing seemed a bit high to us at first glance, but we quickly realized we were not the professional in this market. We trusted Jennifer's industry knowledge, experience, and pricing strategy. Proactive Communication: Throughout every stage of the process, Jennifer kept us informed. As our direct point of contact, her communication was clear, timely, and reassuring. Targeted Advertising: The advertising and marketing for the sale were suitable, ensuring a solid reach. I imagine it's difficult to project and reach your target market. Again, we hired Jennifer to do her work and left the details to her. Rule Enforcement & Professional Standards: Estate sales require strict policies to protect the home and run efficiently. Jennifer enforces the necessary rules professionally, which is crucial for a successful liquidation. Personalized Care: They thoughtfully created a designated, private closet space to set aside and safe-keep personal family items uncovered during prep. Complete Post-Sale Cleanout: After the sale concluded, they seamlessly managed the final phase--coordinating pickups with local charities and churches, leaving the home completely cleaned out and ready for its next steps. When you hire an estate sale provider, you need someone who balances firm, knowledgeable business management with deep compassion for grieving families. My dad and I dealt with Jennifer solely throughout the entire experience, and we both thoroughly enjoyed her energy--she is exceptionally nice, warm, and easy to work with. Beyond her professionalism, she is truly personable; we even spent time talking about our cats and sharing photos with each other, which brought such a comforting, human touch to a stressful time. We are grateful for MBS handling our loved one's estate. We recommend Jennifer and her company.

They had food, alcohol freely flowing, a silent auction, and fashion show. Winter Street Studios was able to accommodate all of those things in different areas. The space is bright, open, and can easily be made into whatever you need as far as a space. Problems: -The parking was valet that night, but we opted to park ourselves. You have to walk over railroad tracks to get to the building and then through some gravel. On the way out we had to wait for a train to get to our car. The parking is definitely limited and the building was not at full capacity. - If this place is handicapped accessible then it's well hidden. There are stairs and gravel between parking and the 2nd floor space we were in. Drunk people were wobbly leaving. - The bathroom (yes singular) was a couple of rooms being used by both men and women. It was a little strange, but we worked it out. If there was another bathroom, no one found it. Even with all of that said, the space is great and you can do so much with it! I really liked that there was a DJ after the fashion show in one room and it was quieter in the silent auction section so you could choose your noise level!
