This experience was concering.. So first of all there was cluttering in the tables as sorta seen in the photo. There was hair all over the floor from when they cut the hair, they also only had one nail station and it didnt look presntable. I didnt see the area where they did waxing or the facials etc.. There only appeared as one person working there a russian woman? At the start to another costumer she said she was russian and when she did my hair she claimed she was from Ukranine. I got my hair washed and when she went to put the tower she twisted my hair along with the towel and my roots were getting pulled alot and it hurt really bad. I have never had full highlights and a cut in an hour. Before she (the owner) started she asked if I had a Groupon. Seemed as soon as she was aware of the Groupon she rushed everything. She cut my hair first which I never experienced. I asked for 1.5" to be cut and she did half inch. The cut literally was less than 5 min. and a poor job. I asked for the highlights to match what I currently had, As soon as she finished with the foils she said okay wait 15 minutes. I looked at my phone for the time. 5 min. later she was back had held a blow dryer on high heat to my head for a few mins and then it was off to wash it out. When she finished doing a poor job with the wash, she told me we were done. She said that if I wanted it blow dried it would be an additional $20.00. I walked out blonde which I couldn't tell until I got home because it was wet when I left. I checked the Groupon after I got home and under "What we offer" it states... Choice of Partial Highlights/Lowlights, or Full (All-Over) Highlights/Lowlights, all with blowdry and style! I definitely will not be returning! They are the best! I came here at first for a haircut and highlights because I had a groupon, but I keep going because they are fantastic. They've always done a great job, and I've never been disappointed. Their prices are so reasonable too! I'm so glad I found this place. I'm really surprised to read reviews about anyone being rude or unprofessional - I've had my hair done by several different people there now, and everyone has been really great and I would say very professional! 1. Hairstylist (I think Russian?) didnt want to wash my hair before cutting (prob spend less $ on products); thats just std fare in all my years getting cuts. 2. She wasnt remotely careful on cut. I came home and had to make a cut on length b/c there was a long pc on one side. 3. I now see many reviews about someone there being rude. It has to be this one. Most articles on salon mgt say that personality is a GIANT part of the game (think about it: u can spend an hour in the chair!). I wish I had read the other reviews before I bought my Groupon for a Brazilian wax. The owner was just rude. Cancelled my appointment at the last minute. I rescheduled. She bragged about being "fast". She was awful. ..rough and it was the most painful wax I've ever had, including when I went to a beauty college and had students do the wax. I have bruises on my legs. I do not know how she stays in business because clearly other people posting on yelp have had similar experiences. She complained about Groupon and told me not to use them in the future. .that she would just give the the price if I called. Of course I will NEVER go back. I had a great experience here! I bought a Groupon for a conditioning treatment, cut, and blow dry. When I called to make my appointment the day I wanted wasn't available but I was still able to get in a couple days before. The owner did my cut and conditioning treatment. She recommended a more expensive treatment since my hair is so damaged but gave me a great deal on it. My hair felt so soft and amazing!! She also did a fantastic job on my cut. Honestly is feels like another person's hair on my head. I can't stop touching it! I wound up buying the conditioning mask she used as well as the styling product, but seriously this is probably one of the best haircuts I've gotten. Plus she gave me a good deal on the products as well! So I wound up spending $70 on top of the groupon but I'm ok with it based on how much hair turned out. I'll definitely be back. read more

Terrible!! If there is a way to give 0.5 star, I would have selected it. I got a Groupon for facial. I got there on time, but had to wait 30 mins.!! And there was No Apologies!! When I went into the facial room, it was dirty! I saw hair all over the floor. The bed sheet didn't seemed clean at all..... She was rough too. The facial solution went into my mouth and my eyes, and I could feel that she was not into it at all. She rushed through it and got it done in 30 mins. Most of my time was laying down with a eye mask on. Some of the solution she used smelled bad.... needless to say - she doesn't get a penny for tips and I will not be going back at all. Don't waste your time or money. Making an appointment is challenging at best. This should have been my first clue. But I had a Groupon, am open to trying new places and giving a business second chance. The "salon" was cluttered with unprofessional work stations. The nail area on wheels kept moving. Thankfully I only had a mani pedi scheduled. As I'd hate to see the back rooms for waxing. Both the shellac and polish selection was limited at best. I have more colors to choose from at home. The pedi was quick and she missed a good portion of several nails. That created a required retouch in between doing my nails. My nails we not smooth n there was no wash area in between the manicure and polish. One nail the shellac actually came off the next day. If you're Black or "African American" as she called me. Don't waste your time going....the owner will turn you away. I had spoken to the ower several times on 10/15/16 to confirm my appointment. She was expecting me to come in...upon walking into the salon, she looked confused I told her who I was and she said, "Oh, I didn't know you were African American. I cannot do your hair." She began to talk about how African American's hair texture is and she just "can't"...I was so hurt and embarrased. I explained to her that I did not need a STYLE, I just wanted my hair colored. She still would not service me. I had to deal with this racist or unexperienced hair stylist hurtful comments in front of my 9 year old son. There were 2 stylist and no customers....instead of taking me as a customer based on her ASSUMPTION of my hair texture and she turned me away. This was unacceptable and RUDE!! read more

Used a Groupon for a Brazilian wax. After calling me to reschedule my appointment after double booking herself, when i got there, i had to wait at least 20 minutes. When she finally took me back, she turned her back while i pulled my pants down, and gave me nothing to cover with. She then came over with a big blob of wax on a stick, spread it on me, let it get hard, and waxed me with several pulls of that one blob of wax, no strips, just pulling the actual wax. No getting in the nooks and crannies like a Brazilian is supposed to. No getting the back crack. I was so raw and sore and spent several days picking wax out of my regions. Wasn't even close to a Brazilian, and it was only after it was done that i noticed she was taking the wax out of a dirty communal jar. Pass...don't go. Rude, dirty and a poor job. read more

I bought a coupon for a 55 minute facial on Living Social. I received a 15-20 minute facial followed by the tech placing a hot towel on my face. She then left the room and did not return. I got up after approximately 30 minutes and left the room. As I was walking out the door, she asked if I was leaving. I explained that to receive a facial the tech and the client need to be in the same room. DO NOT GO HERE FOR A FACIAL OR HAIR CARE FOR THAT MATTER. Being new to Wixom I had not yet tried out all the salons and nail places. However I don't feel like I will need to try any more hair salons. I called at 5:45pm and they closed at 6 but they where willing to stay open and extra half hour to squeeze me in. Not only was it affordable but she did a great job on my hair. i also went back a few weeks later and got my eye brows done and again nothing short of perfection. Pleased. I booked a Brazilian wax and found the lady to be professional and attentive to my concerns. Had nice conversation, which is important to me in an already "uncomfortable situation". I didn't purchase a groupon since I am moving to Florida in a month, but I went on one of the "special" days (mon-thurs) where it was $25. She did a good job on my eyebrows too. I prefer my waxer to be "in a rush". The process is painful enough! She got it over and done with in 15 minutes. This place does not deserve any stars. I would not go again even if it was free. What a terrible experience I had today at this salon. I bought two Groupons for me and my daughter to get a shellac manicure and pedicure prior to her first prom tommorow. I spent nearly $80. We had been looking forward to a relaxing afternoon of pampering and it turned into a miserable experience. First, when we arrived we found the salon to be dirty, cluttered and the equipment for pedicures and nails to be messy and unhygenic. For example--there were little black hairs all over the towel she put my hands on for the manicure. We waited an hour before we received service because they were running behind. The process was rushed, painful and sloppy. The nails honestly looked like they had been painted by a ten year old. White paint from the french manicure was all over my fingertips and uneven. The shellac had divets in the coating and the nails weren't even painted on the sides. My nails looked worse after I arrived. The worst part is that tommorow is my daughter's Prom and we don't have time to go and get them done properly now. Within one hour, I repeat, one hour, the "shellac" polish had peeled off my nail. :( They charged me an extra $20 after I arrived at the salon for additional charges above the Groupon price. There are SOOOOOO many better options out there. Do not go to this salon. read more

DON'T GO HERE!!!!! I walked in for a Brazilian wax and she told me she was glad that I was early because she triple booked herself. Then she told me I shouldn't have bought her groupon because she would have given me a good price. Then she went on to complain about the color and thickness of my hair. She double dipped the stick in the wax and she didn't let the wax harden properly, so she kept trying to pull off a gooey mess. SO PAINFUL!! She stopped halfway through and told me to come back in 6-8 weeks after I trimmed myself. I sat in the parking lot for maybe 15 minutes trying to find another salon to fix the damage she did and noticed no one else walked in. Either her triple booked appointments were no-shows, or she's just a liar. I immediately went to another salon to have her hack job fixed. I will be contacting groupon for a refund. Did I mention not to go here?! By the way, this place got 1 star only so I could continue with the posting process otherwise they'd be getting negative 5 stars. DON'T GO!!! read more

Worst experience I have ever had in a salon. It started when the owner called me back 30 minutes after my appointment and informed me I had too much hair and would have to come back on the weekend. The stylist at the next chair said she could do it and had the time. I purchased a package that included: - Haircut, blow-dry, and style (she combed my hair down on the sides and cut it, no layers, no sections, no blow-dry, no style) - A conditioning treatment (they put conditioner on and immediately rinsed it off) - A full color treatment (I asked before hand and it included highlights. I wanted peek a boo highlights in blue, but if that was not possible red or light brown were fine. The colorist which took over after the owner told me I had too much hair decided she could to the blue. She did 5 foils of bleach, then put in the blue. It turned out to not be color, but be a treatment to counter orange. So, she asked if I was okay with red. I was, but assumed all my highlights would be the same color or mix of colors. So, she left the front two blue and did the back three red. My husband referred to the red as a racing strip, she put it right down the back of my head with a huge red dot at the top.) I wound up there an hour after their posted hours and I feel the stylist put forth effort, failed, but tried. The salon itself was not relaxing or nice, like a Fantastic Sam's. On the plus side,the stylist knew it was bad and did offer for me to come back on Saturday for her to fix the color. She stayed late, she was nice, she put forth effort... A few more negatives, they dyed my shirt, I told them, there was no apology or care. Plus, the stylist complained to the owner throughout my haircut that she needed a new blow dryer, that her scissors were not sharp enough to cut, and that without the tools she can not do her job. I agree, as of today, with the tools she has at her disposal she can not do her job. At least it is only hair. read more

Do not go!!! The only reason this place got two stars from me is because some people were nice to me on the phone. The owner is the only one that does Brazilian waxing and this is the service I was seeking. The first time she canceled my appointment and I was late to work because I was already there. The second time, she showed up 40 minutes late and then argued with me that she wrote down a different time. That whole session all she did was complain about her job- was rushing the whole session and was more intent on tending to walk-in customers than me- who is scheduled and I would've become a regular. The final straw- I called to make an appointments, the woman who picked up was the owner - she is the ONLY one with an accent- and she said she is not available for Brazilian waxing for five days. My friend called back same day to make an appointment, and she got one the next day. Horrible management, horrible service and you bet I called groupon and got my refund. Won't get back the time I wasted or the gas money , but hopefully I can prevent you from having the same problems!!!!! What a horrible way to run your business!!!!! read more
