I purchased a groupon for this Salon. I arrived for my appointment at 5 min to 10 am and the doors were locked. My stylist was parked next to me and explained the manager was on her way. The manager finally got there a few min later and opened the doors. My stylist Tatiyana did a great job with my color and gave me a simple trim (which I requested). Very quiet place with only 1 other customer, seemed like she knew the owner. She had a kid running all around. I chose Salon Rush because the reviews were great and I was able to book a next day appointment online. I was greeted by Ellada, who listened to my concerns and made suggestions accordingly. I ended up getting highlights, lowlights, cut, and style. While processing, I was offered coffee , actually served in a real cup. When she was done, I was blown away! It looks so good! I had a great experience at this salon. I visited about 2 months ago for a blow-dry with Veronika. I loved the online booking system (I think every salon should have this) and was able to book myself a lunch hour blow-dry. Veronika was super nice and professional. I thought the salon was cute and clean. I seriously loved my blow-dry, the prices were reasonable, and she provided me with some free samples of shampoo and conditioner that she thought would fit my hair needs per our conversation during my blow-dry. I asked for blonde natural looking highlights and a simple cut with a few layers. She did exactly what I asked and it turned out looking great. But Veronika is the best thing about this salon. She matched my hair color perfectly. She was right on time, friendly and took the time to talk to me about what I was looking for. I had a great experience. Janet added highlights in spots where my current style was lacking and evened out my layers. I left with my hair looking and feeling wonderful. They seemed to do good business and were steady during the time is there (I always worry about a salon where nobody walks though the door during the hours you're waiting for your hair to be done) they also offer manicures. I would recommend the salon and Janet as well, she made sure to ask questions so she was confident I was getting what I wanted, which is a huge plus. The salon was cute, had a nice atmosphere and the people were pleasant, however they did not do my hair how I asked. My family members had a good experience, but I did not. My stylist also did not introduce herself to me. I showed the woman, I think Ellada, a photo of wavy hair and she proceeded to use a curling iron to make ringlet curls. It looks nothing like the photo. Also, at one point between every curl she was responding to text messages, which I found very rude. If you need to make a call or take care of an emergency just excuse yourself for a moment. Throughout the curling I asked questions about how she was going to make it wavy and at the end I expressed that it was not what I wanted. She kept telling me the curls would fall, and then told me the girls hair in the photo was heavier than mine and that's why it was different, but I've had my hair done wavy before and they used a straightener and not a curling iron, or used a curling wand. If she didn't know how to do it she should have told me, or had someone else do it. Also, when I got home I saw she had missed a spot. Additionally, they told me it was $35, and then charged me $45 because apparently curls cost more, but they did not tell me this before doing it. read more

I thought about calling to express my feelings but I wouldn't want whatever they offered because I would NEVER want to go back. -This place was last resort because I left work too late to keep my original appointment elsewhere. -They got me in within an hour in a Saturday!-Awesome. -Nice environment, but the owner had no clue, is Alina is the owner...seems like it because she had her dog laying next to her on the floor the entire appointment. -Over the phone I was quoted 25-35 for VERY long hair and maybe an up charge of $5 if it's "thick"-Had to pay $50 for a STICKY MESS. -All I asked for was beach "waves" I ended coming home and washing it out because it was horrible. She sprayed each strand before and after, drenching it with hairspray after I told her please lighten on the hairspray...this is after a trainee young lady curled 1/4 of my hair... Because she was busy doing a haircut-Obvi I was squeezed in. -THEN SHE DIDN'T EVEN KNOW Which curling iron to use or what direction to curl the hair. I told BIG hair with beach waves... All she kept saying is wow you have a lot of hair...un yes I mentioned that on the phone and my hair was down when I walked in...completely straight. Then upon leaving I tipped on top of a overpriced unprofessional look, the receptionist had the nerve to say "nice up do"? Is she an idiot?
