Chicken Koobideh
Lawrence H.

Got the chicken koobideh. A little salty on the chicken. However, everything else was spot on.

Perfect place for lunch. Semi gourmet food @ fast food prices. The boneless tie kabob special is my almost daily lunch. $12 gets you salad, basmati rice, skewer of beef or chicken an a skewer of vegetables nicely bbq. Easy access, fast service.

Beef Kabob Lunch special

This is high quality food. I ordered the steak kabob lunch special which had Rice, a salad, pita bread and the beef. Everything was made on point and the beef was seasoned well. Highly recommend to anyone wanting to try Mediterranean food.

The food is very good and they fill the order fast, I've only gotten takeout but the seating area seems fine.

Great food at an unbelievable price. Whenever my husband and I don't know what to eat, we eat Fanoos Grill Express.

The first thing I saw when I walked through the door was the "Order Here," which I did. But if you're not technically inclined or want to place your order with a human being, you can do that, too. There was a gentleman behind the counter, ready to take orders. The self-serve ordering was pretty easy to use. I ordered the Mediterranean bowl and a bottle of spring water. You grab your own number, type it into the electronic ordering screen, pay, and find a table. There are more tables outdoors than inside. There are enough, but the tables are a little crowded inside, in terms of spacial location. There's a soda fountain machine located in the back. I found a table. My food and bottled water didn't take too long. My Mediterranean bowl was fresh and absolutely delicious. I was pleasantly surprised at how good it was. All fresh ingredients. The kale wasn't dry. The bread was fresh, but a little salty. Staff are friendly and efficient. I noticed they clear tables right away, after customers leave. Parking: Plenty of free, shared parking lot.

This place is a sleeper. The reason why I say that is because if I pass a place that reads pizza…read morefor take-out, I imagine budget quality. And the food from here was expensive in taste, and not costly either. What I want to eventually say, is that this place has unique pizza flavors, excellent service, moderate prices, and eye-catching ecore that makes the wait for the take-out order seem less, cause one can distract themselves with the cartoons on the wall. Preapre the brick pizza oven a review will be baked that honors this place with robust prose. I was celebrating a friend's birhtday. And the day got gone, without me really placing attention to the food I was going to honor him with. I had been invited to this place in the past (a Yelp experience) and I found the food good enough to remember. So I trusted that this place would somehow deliver cheese and sauce goodness to honor someone I consider a brother, from another mother. And to be honest, this place was close enough to be a choice option. But now the relatively closeness to this place is a plus, the food is the reason why I am going to go back. I surveyed the menu and I decided to do the Sausage Hunter, without the mushrooms. I realized that Sausage Hunter could be a name of a movie about a cougar gone wild. And the pizza was fantastic. The main flavor pop was the sausage. It provided meaty flavor and the fennel elevated the taste to Mozza-like quality. Not that this place can compete with Mozza that is not the point. More like the pizza of this place was unique enough to be called gourmet like the type you find at Mozza. And the pizza here was more accessbile in taste, price point, and does not require one wear shoes. One can enter here in sandals. I do not think I can do that at Mozza. Maybe. I won't try though. This place does not do itself justice with its name. Perhaps it can be called Piccini Gourment pizza to-go. Regardless, the pizza was a standout: White sauce, dollops of pesto, parmessean, mozzarella, and care. Hopefully one can see that these ingredients are not run of the mill pepperoni and olives. Even writing them seemed decadent and like I had enter a Nonna's kitchen on the eve where she was cooking for her only grandaughter's wedding. On this day, the sauce had to be white, in case she spilled it, it would match the dress. Imagine if she spilled red sauce on her white gown? Nonna's know what suace to make for each day. Since I rushed through my day I did not have time to buy plates, napkins, and forks for the mini party i was hosting. And yet I had a cake to provide to someone and also this pie. So I asked one of the workers, in a hushed whisper, do you mind providing me extra plates, and forks and napkins. And she was like how many? Anhe md I with a feeling of guilt I said 15. My inner person cringed. I got ready for the no, perhpas delivered in an italian accent. And the person who helped me said, I got you, with happy conviction. She did not make me feel like an ogre who pillaged a village of its straw and pitchforks to give utensils and comfortable seating for his ogre friends when he forgot to purchase these items on the way to the pit where the party was being held. Her behavior was attentive past the line of service. It was no wonder her name was Precious. I took a clip of the mural. It looked like a serious artist painted with crayons. It showed gelato and people about to kiss while racing to the center of a spaghetti strand. It had many things to see and wonder about while you waited like I said at the start of the review. So there was thought here, I think. What can stimulate people while they wait for their pizza besides their phone? Colorful images. It works with kids and cartoons. Why not with customers waiting for their pizza? This place will be on the rotation when i want pizza.

On my last visit, we got the sea bass, a fish taco, and the poke and chips. The sea bass was cooked perfectly, and the poke was incredibly fresh and clean. l've also been to their Express location downtown on 7th Street, and it's just as good. I'm extremely disappointed with the service I received from Layla at Crazy Fish Grill in San Pedro…read more When I originally placed my order, I asked for extra sauce and made it clear that I had no problem paying for it. When I received my order, there was only one sauce in the bag, so I politely asked Layla for extra. The restaurant was busy, which I completely understand, but the way she responded to me was unnecessary and disrespectful. When she gave me the sauce, she slammed it down hard enough that it spilled. When I asked for a napkin to clean it up, she told me to go to the bar counter and get one myself. I was so confused by her attitude that I actually asked her, "Did I do something to you?" She responded that they were very busy and she was backed up, but she said it in a frustrated and raised tone as if I was somehow responsible for how busy the restaurant was. What bothered me even more was watching her interact kindly with other customers. I watched another woman come up multiple times asking for different things, and Layla had no problem helping her each time. As an African American woman, it was uncomfortable seeing such a noticeable difference in how I was being treated compared with other customers. I cannot say what her reason was, but it left me feeling singled out and wondering why I was receiving such different treatment. Eventually, I went to another employee and explained that I wanted additional sauce and was willing to pay for it. She was kind, took my payment, put the sauces in a bag, and treated me respectfully even though she was working under the same busy conditions. Being busy is understandable. Taking your frustration out on a customer who has been polite to you is not. Every customer deserves the same basic respect regardless of race, appearance, or anything else. I know one review may not make a difference, but I felt this needed to be said because the entire interaction was embarrassing, uncomfortable, and completely unnecessary.
