The most expensive no-frills iced tea in Los Angeles.
    Teri B.

OK, I've been here so many times because it's in the neighborhood. But today I just got a small iced tea to go. No special teabag. Just out of a big container. Seven dollars before tax and then they want to tip so I gave 20%. Seriously? I mean, $4.75 would be an absolute rip off, but $7!!!! OMG! So over $9 for this! Absolute gouging. Rip off.

Iconic atmosphere , enthusiastic service, and a good place to have a bite while visiting thé museum. Food is beautifully presented. The mushroom Wellington was a nice change from the usual beef, but a tad lukewarm. Thé Brussel sprouts were a huge portion, well cooked, but the dressing was a little sour. The Asian chicken salad was good. It's on the pricey side, but worth the experience.

Located inside of the museum, however, you do not need to be a guest to dine in here. The restaurant is beautiful and spacious. Service was impeccable. The food was incredible, plated beautifully, high-quality, and well worth it. They also have a variety of baked goods and desserts available for dine in or to go. The prices are fair, considering the quality and presentation. We tried a variety of their foods enjoyed all of it. Highly recommended, especially during a day touring the museum!

Went to Fanny's for 1st time for a birthday & hardly no one there. It was a Saturday afternoon. So it felt like we had the restaurant to ourselves for most of our visit. Ambiance is very fancy. I love it! Parking is either street or LACMA. The food was good ($$$) and the latte was ok. I always have to add sugar to mine! The staff was friendly and good service.

The location is nice. The desserts were pretty delicious. The prices are a bit high. The soup of the day was absolutely so bland. And the clams were overcooked. The tables they provide outside were dirty - I had to wipe it down myself before using. Seemed a little chaotic inside. They could be more organized in how the food is brought out. I may go there again to try something else. Just because the location is nice next to the LACMA.

Food was absolutely delicious after our trip to the academy museum, but I don't think the service could have been more unfortunate. We came around 1pm and it was noticeably understaffed that day as we were sixth in line at the hostess stand where no one was attending for at least 3-4 minutes. Someone finally came and eventually put in our table request, told us we would be seated within 10-15 mins. We saw multiple empty tables that had not been cleaned. About 20 minutes at least went by before we were seated. Eventually our very nice and friendly server came, took our orders for drinks, and after they came, took our orders for appetizers. After about 10 mins, the manager came to say there would be a delay in the kitchen as they had to turn something over and then after that he came back to say the chef had to make the paste we ordered fresh. Everything just moved very slowly. Ultimately the meal took at least 2+ hours from putting our name down to leaving around 3:30pm. Ultimately we were hoping this was a one off service wise but the food was pretty fantastic! So I would definitely give it another try

Great customer's service and ambiance! It's inside the Academy museum of Motion Pictures. I have not visited the museum yet, waiting to go with the kids. Food wise. There are 2 sections. One sit down dining room and one for quick bite and go cafe. I got the food from the cafe as I was short on time. Got the lobster bisque and a slice of pepperoni pizza. The soup was a bit too watery. I did not taste or got any bite of lobster. It comes with crusty bread. Not worth $15 when it is watery bisque. The pizza was ok, thick slice. Not that impressive. They do have other bake good items.

Came in today to emerse myself in a little culture, as it's my first visit to LACMA and the surrounding area since practically covid times. But before hitting LACMA proper, I opted for lunch at Fanny's, located within the Academy of Arts building, which is currently featuring the movie Jaws as an exhibit. The restaurant is what this review is based on. I didn't realize there were so many options within this small section alone, from the various exhibits, to the self emersion workshops to catching the numerous classic and small indie flicks-clearly enough options that cannot be accomplished in one outing, that's for sure. But again, thiis review will center on Fanny's -the service ,food, location, and or ambiance etc. Ordered the chicken and waffles-which was good, but nothing spectacular. The service was decent, and the location and atmosphere itself itself was decent, but still somewhat chaotic in a manageable type of way. Nothing that warrants (CSA) customer service All-Star stuff, 'but a solid outing overall-given that you could clearly see the servers, or bartenders were overwhelmed by the sheer numbers of people.

The best cheesecake in all of LA

Ok so clearly everyone on staff knows how much I LOVE this place. I brought a friend here for the first time yesterday and decided to try out the Lobster Benedict, a recent addition to the menu . Absolutely gorgeous sweet bread, avocado what with a generous amount of delicious succulent, lobster. With a little adjustment temperature, this dish will be perfect. Love love love! But I have to admit I come here for the cheesecake, seriously, if you have not tried it... hands-down it's the best in Los Angeles. Just go... I have my favorite table, and the staff is just well they go above and beyond.... it's classy and it's a place you just wanna hang... just lovely.

While visiting the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures, I did not expect to have such a lovely lunch on site. Yummy pastries, perfect coffee drinks, and a trio of baguette sandwiches the likes of which I have not enjoyed since my trip to Paris way too long ago. The staff here is wonderful and the atmosphere is tres fancy yet extremely welcoming. The only downside is that it is quite pricey for what you get, but I guess that's to be expected when there aren't any other options. Considering the price of museum tickets and parking in this area, it was a bit of a wallet stretch for our family of 5. However, I think for a special occasion, it would be worth the splurge.

Taking a break from the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures, my wife and I had a snack of shrimp tacos at the Museum's cafe. Service was excellent, the environment was pleasant and the tacos were good.

Located inside the Academy of Motion Picture Arts. It's a nice well decorated restaurant to relax before or after your museum. Just had the burger at Fanny's in LA and wow... it's seriously one of the best I've had in a long time. Juicy, flavorful, cooked just right--and the bun doesn't fall apart on you, which is a win in itself. No weird toppings, just really solid, well-done comfort food. The vibe at Fanny's is super cool too. Kinda old-school Hollywood but not in a cheesy way. It's stylish without trying too hard, and you can actually hear the people you're with (always a plus). It's the kind of place where you show up for a quick bite and end up staying way longer just because it feels good to be there. Definitely going back. That burger deserves a repeat visit.

A group of 4 others inside and he was attentive to us all. He actually looked bored like he was hoping to get some action lol. I enjoyed my Old Fashioned. It was just right. And so was the flight lol. I came during happy hour but I would love to come back during the evening or late hours to see what the experience is also like.

The place is so cool and oh, so fun! The Aviator is a magnificently decorated and themed airplane bar which has a first class and coach section seats that are exactly like being on a real airplane along with seat belts, trays and movable arm chairs and a Flight Attendant bell to request service! Food: we were treated to fries which were delicious! The Aviator offers a nice appetizer menu along with specialty drinks themed to the bar. We ordered Aperol Spritzes and they were delicious and refreshing! All reasonably priced too, yay! They have "cart" service too which added to the airplane themed experience! Service: Splendid! The Bartender and Flight Attendant were attentive and friendly! My friend and I had a blast of fun and plan to visit again soon! If you haven't been to The Aviator yet, plan to do so! You'll be glad you did!
