Leisure Time Bowling - Teach a child to bowl and have a friend for life!

Great place to bowl. Lanes are maintained well. Lots of food options. Friendly staff.read more

We made the quick drive up from Chattanooga a little after noon on a Saturday to give this place a…read moretry. It was a little busy; no problem, it's understandable people are out and about on a nice day over the weekend so we expected a little bit of a wait. But what we didn't expect was a very unpleasant and hateful staff. They acted very rudely and putout when asked simple questions. We had never been to this bowling alley before so we weren't sure how the their system worked. Every question was answered hatefully and defensively. We put our name on the list and started waiting. We enjoyed some games in the arcade and had a few soft drinks from the restaurant... no problem at all. After waiting about 45 minutes for a lane, we had not heard any names called and several lanes were open (at least 8 lanes hadn't been used for 10 minutes or so). We waited another 10 minutes then asked the worker behind the counter if they page your name over the intercom. Before we could even get to the counter one guy rudely stated they were doing the best they could as if we had asked multiple times or like we were being impatient... nothing could be further from the truth. This type of interaction continued (unprovoked) during our entire visit. We asked for two lanes since we had a larger group of 8 and hoped to cross bowl. The girl reluctantly stated she'd "try" to get us two lanes but couldn't "promise anything" even with our party size. We finally got our lanes but our request to cross bowl was 100% ignored and by this time we didn't even care to ask again since the poor attitude we'd gotten so far... The lanes themselves weren't the worst we've ever used but we did have to reset the pin setter several times. We like to bowl often and usually visit local alleys when on vacation. We have family in the Chattanooga/Ooltewah/Cleveland area and are there quite a bit. Overall, for the price the place was clean and acceptable but the poor attitude from the employees makes it very unlikely we will return to or recommend Leisure Time Bowling. If we hadn't been visiting with family for a birthday, we would've left after the first poor interaction with the employee.

Andretti's in Buford is basically a playground for adults disguised as a sleek entertainment complex. The space feels modern and high-energy, with neon lighting, polished concrete, glowing game zones, and that constant hum of excitement from the arcade floor and track. It's part adrenaline, part date night, and part "we are absolutely children and proud of it." We spent the evening bouncing between arcade games, fully embracing our competitive sides. The ticket machines kept spitting out proof of our triumphs, and after a heroic run of wins, we cashed in for the ultimate symbol of arcade victory: a lava lamp. Nothing strengthens a relationship like carrying a glowing tube of molten nostalgia to the car. The atmosphere is lively without feeling chaotic, making it easy to laugh, play, and celebrate small victories together. Staff were friendly, the games were in great shape, and the entire place runs with the efficiency of somewhere that understands people came to have fun, not stand around waiting. If you're looking for a Valentine's date that swaps candlelight for neon glow and roses for arcade tickets, Andretti's delivers. We left with a lava lamp, sore cheeks from laughing, and the comforting knowledge that our relationship can survive friendly competition.

Never have I seen so many people standing around, walking around, yet so little getting actually getting done. Our server finally came to our table after we've been waiting for 15 min. I ordered everything. Drinks didn't come out so I had to ask the host to order the drinks and he was nice enough to oblige. 30 min goes by. I haven't seen our server anywhere. Completely disappeared. There are tons of orders sitting there under a heat lamp. People looking like they're just waiting. For what? For the food to be ready? Well there it is! People keep coming and going into this employee entrance looking like they're busy doing something important but I wonder what. Finally our server appears to ask "how are we doing"? Huh? What about the food? She says she'll check on it. It was just sitting there under a heat lamp for god knows how long. Now all dried out. Advice to manage: get this place sorted out. Come up with efficient processes to get food out to people ASAP. Dedicated food runners who run our food as soon as it's ready. Something! Oh and the best employee there was the bartender. He was manning the bar AND busing people's tables, getting their checks. Props to him!
