Such friendly, welcoming staff and clean restaurant! Started with vegetable tempura that must be hand dipped and fried in a light tempura batter. So crisp - the best I've had in a long time. I wanted sushi and saw Fancy sushi had good reviews. I was seated immediately and given a menu. I selected the crunch roll and shrimp fried rice. The roll came out first. It was fresh and full of flavor. When the rice came out I was underwhelmed by the presentation. I'm glad I didn't judge it off of looks alone. It was so good. I recently got an amazing takeout order the other night! Here we are 4 days later and my family is still talking about the outstanding flavors of fresh sushi rolls and sashimi. I ordered through their website and it was self explanatory and simple. Plenty of places to include notes. The sushi boat for 3 was presented beautifully in one large party tray. We got a second tray and all additional assorted rolls were in there. The hot food items (soup and fried rice) were packed separate. They even helped me to my car! They also provided plenty of ginger, soy sauce and wasabi. What pleased me most is they accommodated a menu item change and request. Everything was perfect! We will be back! Been going in here since 2015 moved outa the area in 2017 but when we work out here I stop and get us holiday rolls 1 order for each person. Normally it's 3 orders not sure when but now no matter how many orders you get they only give you one cup of yum-yum sauce. So now 3 adult men have to share a 2oz cup is sauce. Fancy Sushi is a good place for lunch, with fair prices for Hibachi or sushi specials. You get a bowl of soup and ginger salad as an appetizer with you lunch. The sushi tasted great and my wife's vegetable hibachi was delicious. When I first walked in it looked like a typical Japanese sushi restaurant. The furniture looks old, well used. I was greeted by two waitresses who were extremely polite and took me to my seat. She brought me my drink, a soup, and a roll they were trying. It was actually really good too. My order of two rolls came out pretty quick. My waitress was on point and knew when to come for a fill of my drink or to remove plates. Very respectful and made the journey especially comforting. I am also trying a new roll they posted called the flamethrower. It has shrimp tempura, avocado, cream cheese, topped with conch, and spicy crab on fire. I will say the flamethrower rocked. It was actually set on fire and when the games went out it was melted and so nice to eat. This roll made my day. The prices seem pretty expensive for the portion size, but in today's day and age things cost a ton more than they should. I will say it is not a bad little place, pretty quiet and my style. read more

I love the variety of menu options here! It's an added bonus that it is so close to my house! I love sushi and they have a great variety of rolls, nigiri, and sashimi to choose from. They also have Hibachi, Teriyaki, and Katsu (panko breaded & fried) entree options for those that don't like sushi. The decor is modern and beautiful and the restaurant is clean. I'm very happy with the staff here and have gotten to know them over time. This is very important to me because I have an allergy to both avocados and mangos. The staff have been very accommodating and I no longer fear cross contamination when ordering my food. The website is easy to navigate and useful for placing pickup orders. read more

We had a wonderful night at Fancy Sushi tonight. We started with a N/A Bevs for three of us and I had the house bottle of saki. We ordered these shrimp dumplings that I don't remember the name of, but they were perfect. We ordered five or six rolls for the table and a sushi platter and I everything was incredibly delicious. In an area where healthy eating options were limited with the likes of Dunkin Donuts and Pizza Hut taking up all of the air space, Fancy Sushi met my expectations of providing a quality product with sufficient nourishment. Interestingly enough, the experience started off slow, yet got better as time marched along during this evening dining experience. Upon arrival, the female hostess had quite a bit of to-go orders that she was processing. 7-8 minute wait as a result. After being seated at the bar, yet another 7-8 minute wait until a server finally arrived. I contemplated walking out prior to the server arriving, yet thought different of it due to preferring anything other than junk food, and the nearby Olive Garden. The server had a gut feeling about this as well, and presented me with a complimentary appetizer without me prompting anything from him. Very cool gesture. The entree (I think a Phoenix roll) was appetizing, and the eel sauce truly complimented the wasabi & ginger. While there were beer choices available such as Sapporo, I decided on a Coke instead due to a pending 3 hour drive on I-95 south. The additional small appetizer of broth was certainly a nice touch. The food and drinks are certainly reasonably priced. While the interior decor was okay but comfortable, the atmosphere seemed to be festive. Fancy Sushi seems to be a popular place that fills up quickly, so don't be surprised if you see a table of 12-15 people arrive behind you. Other than the parking lot being somewhat tight on space, Fancy Sushi is one of those places that I would look forward to returning to if I prefer a meal that is appetizing with less filling while either pass through or staying for a time in Palm Coast. read more

While we were visiting some friends in Palm Coast, some friends recommend us to tried this place for dinner . The staff were excellent, made great recommendations and were very helpful in helping me pick from the menu when I had questions. The complimentary appetizers were exceptional, as I've only been once I don't know if they are the same every day, but the ones I was given were excellent. Prices are what you would expect. I got a JB and asked to Add avocado on it, it was delicious. My wife got the chicken fried rice and it perfect, tasty. Went to Fancy Sushi with my family and we had a great experience! We had sushi and hibachi and everyone was really pleased with their meals. I had the dynamite roll, salmon roll and crazy girl roll, all were really good! My parents had the steak and shrimp hibachi that they said was flavorful and the meal was a ton of food. I will definitely go back. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because they had one waitress working in a crowded restaurant and she did a wonderful job, we just had to wait awhile for her to take our order. read more

Fancy sushi is pretty good compared to a lot of other sushi places in Palm Coast. It's definitely not even close to authentic Japanese restaurants/ sushi places, but the their food is not bad. This place seems to be Chinese-run catering to what I assume must to be Chinese-style Japanese food. Nothing is Japanese. Th staff and all the sushi chefs spoke Chinese. The fish was badly cut and poor quality -- the fish was anything but delicate and served in a ugly, slabs. The tempura had several enormous SLABS of extremely old fried potato. There's no excuse for using old tough vegetables. You look for good fish, good rice and good presentation when it comes to Japanese food. This place has none.
