Upon walking into this store you're immersed in a dog's dream - rows of handmade felted toys resembling various types of foods, in all different sizes. My dog has only recently showed interest in toys and it was the best feeling seeing her walk through the store, head in each bin locating the best prize to take home. The cashier was so kind and patient as we claimed the entirety of the store as our personal playground & even won the heart of my dog, providing her with treats for being so well behaved! On this trip I also met Pudding a Pomeranian and learned about local rescues that helped smaller dogs. All of the items they carry are hand-made ethically ( renewable materials that are natural fibers) and recyclable! They also carry leashes, bandanas, sweaters, coats, and hats! Plus, they also have lots of information about adopting dogs from local rescues as well if you are looking for a dog! I even called earlier in the morning asking about rescheduling options, but when I arrived and explained the situation, they refused to take my dog at all. I completely understand that businesses run on schedules, but there was absolutely no flexibility or effort to work with me, even though I was requesting a simple bath and trim and have been a loyal customer for years. I asked politely and explained the situation, but they wouldn't accommodate me in any way. After being a repeat customer for so long, I expected at least some willingness to help or find a solution. I had an item stolen from my home after someone sent by this business was given access to my house to walk my dog. When I confronted the owner, she immediately insisted there was no possible way anyone associated with her business could have taken it. The police investigated. I later learned that the person the business had sent into my home that day had previously worked for another dog-walking business and was connected to a case involving more than $20,000 worth of stolen jewelry and watches. What made an already upsetting situation so much worse was how the owner handled it. She was incredibly difficult to deal with, unapologetic, and refused to refund even the dog walks I had already paid for, let alone reimburse me for what was stolen. When you hire a dog walker, you aren't just trusting someone with your pet - you're trusting the business with access to your home and belongings. Based on what happened to me, I have serious concerns about how this business screens the people it sends into clients' homes. I would never use this company again, and I cannot recommend it to anyone else. If you're considering hiring them, I strongly suggest you think twice before giving them access to your home.
