Animal Crackers is located along Westfield Avenue in Clark, a main drag with lots of smaller shops, eateries and medical offices. Having a pet supply store at the end of such a stretch somehow makes perfect sense (and it's next to a pet groomer too!). The store may seem small at first but it's actually a really good size, with aisles filled with supplies for various pets, with a huge focus on dogs. In the back they have fresh food in fridges. Cat food is in the same area. I needed food from Koha, a higher end brand and fortunately Animal Crackers not only carried it but they also ask very reasonable prices. For your convenience, you can have Animal Crackers order cases of food for you. Getting an entire case of cat food also gets me one complimentary can - and don't forget to get a punch card to track your purchases! Animal Crackers has become a regular shopping spot for me and I am glad I found it!

They are socialized and Judy knows the different nuances of each individual cat-these cats are not numbers. She let out individual cats to see how they would interact with me to find the perfect fit. Great staff cute cats-you can't lose!…read more So I've been wanting to come here for a while since I love pets and always seem to go to the Humane Society in Newark to look at them. This is a rather small place; a trailer so to speak with super cute cats of all sizes and ages. When I first walked in, I was greeted by 2 very nice ladies that was extremely helpful and patient while I looked around at all of the cats. They will ask you if you have any pets and if you do- they will ask about their personalities. The one cool thing I liked about this place is that they let the cats walk around and allow you to play with them and hold them to get a feel for your future potential fur baby. They (the ladies) weren't pushy and was genuinely interested in getting to know who would be adopting those cats. One of the ladies even took me next door to show me another cat that might be a great companion for my cat that I have at home. They also have dogs here for adoption as well although very minimal. There is plenty of parking however when you come in drive very slow since there may be cats walking around. Overall, I would recommend adopting from here as you can tell the staff really cares about the pets. Although I didn't adopt today- I could totally see myself coming back as there were a few cats that I really liked.

I get there early and the woman checking people in is very slow. I waited passed my appointment time. When it was finally my turn we get checked in and she is trying to sell me all these extra products that I was not interested in. Fine - I started telling her how we are here for the rabies shot, but I was interested in making an a full vet appointment because my husband thinks that our pet was drinking a lot of water. My kids or I haven't noticed that and we pay attention to him. So I inquired making an appointment as a "just in case". Well - every single employee at Vetco over reacted and refused to give him his rabies shot. Even though I told them that none of us in the house noticed anything out of the ordinary. The lady in front let me go to the back and speak to the vet. She wouldn't really let me speak and just kept telling me "NO" or "I refuse". She wouldnt even tell me why? She didn't really care what I had to say. The entire situtation was uncalled for really uncomfortable. I tried every which way and everything was just "NO". The way she was acting was not okay. The way I was treated was really ugly. And yes - when I left I called her a "fkng B*tch" because she would not let me speak and just kept telling me "NO". I went shopping for a new harness for my pet after this and when I left the store I find out that she called the police on me? Luckily I was already pulling out of the parking spot when I saw them pull up in front of the store. UNBELIEVEABLE!! Petco/ Vetco lost a loyal customer. No more using their vets or the monthly food/ litter subscriptions for my animals. I AM DONE W PETCO !!! I hope you get explosive diarrhea lady. We couldn't be happier with our experience. The woman at the front desk was so sweet to Charli when we walked in. He seemed to forget all about me as he wandered around behind the counter sniffing everything in his path. She asked me a few questions about the type of 'cut' I wanted for him and I left feeling comfortable that they would do a good job (leaving him is still not easy). Charli looked great when I picked him up a few hours later. We will definitely be returning to Animal Kingdom South!
