I have been getting dip manicures for 2 years now and when I arrived for my dip appointment at this salon I asked if they used the dip topcoat. The woman informed me what she uses is better than the dip topcoat, and that it lasts much longer. While I was skeptical, I went through with the appointment. They were very friendly there and kind, but my manicure had crumbled off multiple fingers within 2 days. They pretty much just apply gel polish, dip your nail in powder, and then apply more gel polish and put you under the light. Again, very friendly and if I did any other type of service I would give them another shot, but please don't guarantee that "your way" will last longer and better and then have it come off in 2 days and break all of my nails. The dip process is the way it is for a reason, and people who get that prefer the way the dip process is meant to be. read more

Well I went in for a full set with power and the length short. 4 hours later they put gel and they are round and coffin. I spent $125 and it was not worth it. I am never going again read more

This was the best set of nails I think I have ever gotten in Vermont, the owner was absolutely lovely so kind, and did the best coffin shape I've ever had, as well as the perfect length. My mom and I both had pedicures and absolutely loved them. Compared to the other places in Chittenden county this was by far the best one we have had. The staff was very friendly and professional which made us feel welcomed. They took their time and gave the BEST leg/ foot massage. Most salons give you a quick rub and move on but they spend 10+ minutes massaging my legs. For the price ($25) there is no better pedicure in town! Poor quality at least what I had. Only a pedicure, nail polish uneven with unequal cutting, one part near my big toe she cut too much skin so it's a little sore. Looks pretty sloppy, I'd have done a better job myself. Basically will have to redo it myself so a waste of money. Unfortunately the Google reviews were better than Yelp ones and thats where I had looked. On top of that, no TV or music so weird silent atmosphere. read more

The outside and inside of this salon are very run down. The massage chairs were quite old and much too loud when turned on. I had a hard time relaxing for my pedicure since there was no music and the owner seemed to be doing some electrical work during my service. I just didn't feel like it was a very calming experience in general. My pedicure was ok but she used a lot of polish and it was not a very good application. My manicure was...different...did she cover my regular manicure with gel at the end? I was so confused but at that point just wanted it to be over with. I was instructed to dry my hands under lights, which Ive only used when I got a gel manicure but this was just regular polish. Nail color selection was pretty poor and only OPI. read more

My nails are the opposite of fancy. They don't do acrylic and so they covered mine with gel which is awful. They did a French manicure and it's lopsided and too skinny and there's a lot of bubbles and it's very very hot and awkward read more

At least $10 more for a pedicure than most other places and I left with sharp edges on some of my toe nails and others that were not cut straight across. Lots of other choices that provide better service at a better price. read more

I have been a customer at Fancy Nail for about two years. I first found them through word of mouth via a co-worker. I have been a devoted and always satisfied customer ever since. Jack and Jennie are the owners and they are both talented, dedicated, and caring professionals. I have had my nails done at almost every salon in the Burlington area and no one can even begin to compare to Fancy Nail. One of the things that I appreciate so much about Jack and Jennie is their flexibility and quality of service, they are good to all of their customers and never deliver anything but the best. I'm not sure how this business has avoided receiving more 1 star reviews. I had my nails done here and it seemed very unsanitary. To remove the nail polish I had on, they had me stick my fingers into a dirty sponge soaked in polish remover - a sponge that many other fingers had been in before. They did not ask me to wash my hands at all. The nail dryers were covered with tin foil held on with scotch tape. The mirrors were dirty - splattered and smudged. It does not appear that the place is cleaned very thoroughly. The polish used was so thin that it was dripping all over the table as my nails were being painted. At the end of the service, you could see through the polish to my nail in many spots where the thin polish didn't cover. In some places, the paint covered my cuticles and skin. It was a very sloppy job in a very dirty salon. I will not be returning. read more

Poor experience. The inside was littered with trash...used water bottles and dusty household items all over. My manicure was done standing up. I had nail polish all over my skin. I requested that it be fixed several times. Overall I'd recommend trying another place. I'm sure you can spend your money wisely elsewhere. As I was on vacation I was unaware of local spas. Great manicures. My regular manicures last for more than a week, usually close to two weeks. Jenni and her husband are friendly and accommodating. My daughter and I have noticed the same customers returning which makes for a very pleasant atmosphere. Definitely recommended. read more
