Today I went and got my nails done too for the first time. I want to point out that the lady that did them wasn't the same lady that did my toes. my toes are great and don't hurt, she was gentle and cautious about not hurting me. my nails on the other hand... they are so tender I couldn't even peel a sticker off of a piece of fruit. When I made the appointment I was asked- "what's on your nails now?"- which would have been the perfect opportunity to explain their very unusual approach to pricing. They charge $15 to remove existing polish, and $42 for new gel polish. I requested a manicure but really all I got was removal of my existing gel polish, and reapplication of new gel polish. No cuticle work at all.

I like the technique they use for removing old powder - less harmful to the skin. However, the new dip cover I got was not very robust. Fewer coats. And also the application was not very even - gaps on the side of the nail. Finally- the service was 7$ more than I pay normally. So the combination of a not so great job and higher price means I won't be back. Pluses - very friendly and effective online appointment service. But doesn't outweigh my decision.
