I had my nails done at Fancy nails for the very first time. THEY WERE AMAZING. Took me in for an appointment promptly and were very warm and accommodating. I have never had such a great experience as I had here. My nails looks amazing. The woman who did them made sure that she was giving me what I requested by doing a trial on one nail, allowing me to decide if I wanted anything changed. If I could give you zero stars I would but unfortunately I have to give a one star in order to even put a review I called made an appointment for a select a time ask them for the price of simple short gel manicure. they told me $45 I get there she tells me if I can wait for her daughter to get there so she can do my nails then She asked me what I wanted and I showed her the plain nails that I want literally short playing gel nails. she's like oh that's going to be 75$ like really I called to check ask price you guys give me a different price I get there for my appointment I called to scheduled. you're having me wait not just that but you're telling me a different price now you're charging me $75 that is way over priced for the simple nails I get my nails for $45 and yes I wanted to go to you guys because I wanted to try you guys Because I hear so many great things about fancy nails but if that's the charge that you were charging I am not going to check it out . you guys are close to my house but if that's the charge that you are going to charge for something very simple then I will take the service somewhere else oh not just that they are only accepting cash they are not excepting any debit cards they do not have a sign out on the window they will not tell you they will only ask you when you're done and they have a sign inside the store not On the window how it should so customers are aware before they even go in there. This was the most painful and overpriced mani pedi I've ever received. She started off by filing on my bare skin on my toes and rubbed me raw and then stabbed my other big toe while she was supposedly removing dead skin. She never apologized and was extremely defensive about making me bleed. She also jammed on the nail beds of two of my fingers with the cuticle tool during my manicure and made me bleed two more times! She also neglected to use lotion or do any sort of massage. On top of all that, there was no music playing and she and another manicurist were yelling and arguing with each other during my entire manicure. It was painful and not relaxing! She also charged $46 for a gel manicure when the board says $35... ridiculous pricing! read more

I tried Fancy Nails because someone recommended them for acrylic nail infills. They also talked me into a pedicure. On the nails she went too fast and cut my cuticles very badly with the drill-thing! Didn't even apologize for cutting me until I 'yelped'!! The polish job was good though. Then the pedicure... it was done by the husband who spent the whole time telling me that I had to have extra treatments - at extra cost, of course! He was not pleasant at all and also cut my feet and cuticles with his tools. Polish job was poor. And then came the bill!! They cost more than any infill and pedicure than I have EVER had - anywhere in the world! I paid it, but no tip, considering the cuts to my cuticles and feet. The killer though was in the next couple of weeks, when I took off the poor polish on the toenails and found that the unclean tools had given me a bad fungal infection!! I have never had a fungal infection before, so the only place my doctor said i could have gotten it was from their unclean tools. Do NOT go to Fancy Nails unless you want to be hurt, overcharged and get infections! read more

Had a good experience here. Chose this place because it was the best price in town, even though its nearly double what I pay in my hometown of Long Beach, CA. I had a pedicure and callous removal, which were $28 and $10 respectively. The workers were thorough and took us without an appointment. The only weird thing was that I didn't see them sanitize their tools. Usually my place takes them out of a shrink wrapped plastic envelope and u see them throw them in a bucket of sanitation liquid after they are used on me. This place, no. As a guy I find it a little embarrassing to go and get a manicure or pedicure. Every time I come here they put me at ease. The chairs are comfortable and I love the spa pedicure (massage rollers in the seats are great). Tammy always takes care of me. The guy (I think his name is Taylor) always likes to joke around with me. Some people take him as being rude but he just has a good sense of humor. It was my first day time coming here and I'm glad I chose this place. Because I went on a Sunday and there were only two women working that day, the wait was about 10 minutes. The woman who did my nails knew what she was doing and was very attentive and methodical. She would periodically ask if I liked the shape of the nails. She worked quickly, but only because she knew what she was doing and it was great. I then got moves to a second woman who painted them. That's when it got a little weird. The entire time that she was painting my nails she was facetiming her boyfriend. And a few of my nails were not painted to the best capacity. Overall, it was a great experience. For a full acrylic set, it was $35, but because I paid with a debit card it was $36 total. Would definitely recommend coming here. read more

My experience at FN was terrible. The entire place seemed unsanitary and I question if all tools were clean. Young, inexperienced staff. The manicurist would stop working on me to talk and consult other staff that seemed to be confused about another customer's problems. She was also touching the other patron's feet while working on mine. Weird. What I thought would have taken one hour for a combo mani-pedi would have been two hours with the pedicure first and the manicure after even though there was one technician walking around doing nothing. This place is hands down THE worst place I've ever been to!! I did not see them sanitize their tools. Used to live in sb but was there for work and staying at nearby hotel so walked here to get a pedi and a no chip. My pedi was painted unevenly..... And my no chip chipped they SAME day! I had to go back in and get it "fixed". The owners way of fixing it was using the file used for fake nails to blend off the white (got a French no chip) and re due just the white! This of course resulted in uneven work which then chipped again THE next day! When I went in again I just wanted my money back at that point. The owners reply... No money back but would re do it again! Sorry but after going back already once before to have it fixed there was no way I was going to keep coming back taking time out of my schedule for her to fix the problem!!!! Not to mention it was over 70 for a French no chip and a pedi. I live in Scottsdale and pay 60 for same service which lasts over two weeks! Crapy crapy place!!! Ps- I know a lot of people write reviews only when service is bad. If you check out my last reviews I'm the opposite... I review great experiences! This one was so bad I had to write!!! read more

Worst customer service EVER. I read some negative reviews but they were the only nail salon open on a Sunday that was near our hotel. My husband & I got married the day before (Saturday) so my nails were still fresh but both our feet were hurting from being on our feet all day/night and we wanted to get pedicures. I also got a manicure just because...why not? There were only 2 girls working that morning and one customer was being worked on. They filled the water in the tub and it was so cold! My husband had to ask her to heat it up twice. The first girl started on my pedi first while my husband just sat with his feet in the water. The girl was so rushed she was doing such a half-ass job on my pedi. She didn't even massage my feet/legs as she was just rushing through it. She then started on my husband's pedi and I was asked to sit in the chair for my mani. The second girl finished on the previous customer & she then started working on my mani. She didn't massage my hands either & was so quick she did the WORST job I think I've ever had in my life. She was done with the manicure in less than 10 minutes & that includes polish. She was so rushed she almost knocked over the nail polish but I caught it before it fell. So my husband & I both had crappy service at a ridiculously expensive cost.
