I encountered lots of issues, but the biggest of which was at the end of the appointment when I put my hand in my pocket to get my wallet, one of the nails, halfway completely smudged off, even with a topcoat and lots of time to dry. The technician immediately offered to fix it and at the end of that repair she would not let me touch my own wallet and took my debit card from me to put it back in my wallet and even took my phone for a moment. She clearly did not want me rubbing my polish against anything which makes sense but I don't need help with that and it felt intrusive. I spent twice as long, making sure that one nail was dried after repair, and when I got back to the car and reached in my pocket to get out my keys, that nail got smudged off again. This only happened on the one nail, which is very strange. I've had many manicures and have never encountered this. I also asked for a dark purple color with no sparkle, and they kept bringing me light blues with sparkle, and trying to convince me to change my mind about the color that I wanted (which I don't understand their reasoning for this at all, and why it matters to them) and would not let me simply walk over to the polish wall to pick my own color. When my nail technician finally brought over a couple of dark purples, a secondary nail technician came over & started to have a conversation about the two polishes and whether they looked similar or not. This was all after I had very obviously quickly chosen a color. During the appointment, that second nail technician kept coming over and staring at my hands which was uncomfortable. Finally, when choosing the tip amount during payment, the receptionist brought the card reader over (rather than waiting for me to walk to the register) and put the screen directly in front of the technician and myself, and the technician was staring at the screen, watching what my tip selection was. read more

I was really disappointed with my experience. I paid for a gel pedicure, and within 4 days the polish had already chipped on my big toe, and another toenail had lost almost all of its polish. I came back to have it fixed, but after checking in I waited over 40 minutes without being helped or given an update on how much longer it would be. I ended up leaving because I couldn't keep waiting. I understand businesses get busy, but I would have appreciated better communication and better quality work. read more

And the women that we're doing my Nails were speaking unkindly about my nail choice and my short nails my daughter and I clarified five times that she wanted acrylics. They gave her gel ax. And they argued that they did her nails when we expressed that we were unhappy with the gel act because they were see-through and that we had taken the time to point directly at the menu for what she wanted. read more

First and foremost, I always like to start with the positives before getting into the negatives. SB Nail Bar has a great ambiance--quiet, relaxing, and very clean. The pedicure trays were also nicely presented, which added to the overall experience. Martha, in particular, was an amazing technician. She worked meticulously on my daughter, and her attention to detail is the main reason I'm able to give this place an extra star. Now, moving on to the negatives. From the moment my family and I walked in, the staff repeatedly assumed I was Vietnamese and kept asking me about it. After we clarified that we weren't, the way we were treated noticeably changed, which was uncomfortable and disappointing. As for the services themselves, the quality did not meet expectations. Kent's cuticle work and callus removal were very poor--I even have photos showing that barely any cuticle work was done, and a significant amount of callus was left behind. For a $63 pedicure, the results were far from acceptable. Vicky was very kind and friendly, but unfortunately her work also lacked precision. Both the cuticle care and callus removal were sloppy, and I was left with a noticeable amount of both. Overall, while the salon has a nice atmosphere and some strong technicians like Martha, the inconsistency in service quality and the uncomfortable interaction at the start made this experience disappointing. read more

Terrible nail salon. I never get my nails done but had to for a wedding. First the service took forever and you can see how bad the cuticles are. Then it chipped after 2 days. Mind you I work in an office, nothing I'm doing should constitute this already chipping. I would normally not care and I hate "complaining" but like I said I'm in a wedding and I never ever spend money on my nails unless I have to. I went in and asked if they would fix it since I got it done there (GEL MANICURE) 2 days prior. They said no they are too busy. To fill in a tiny chip?? So annoying and they made me feel so stupid. read more

I don't think I have ever come out unhappy with any of my nails. I go once or twice a month, sometimes more, as I can be pretty hard on my nails. I've been coming here for a couple months and I'm honestly done. The customer service is terrible. When I got long stiletto nails, multiple workers stood around me making comments like "that's really long, how do you do anything?" while staring and laughing. It felt judgmental and unprofessional. The pricing makes zero sense. I got the exact same full set as before (not a fill, no removal either time), paid $85 last time and suddenly it's $100 now. When I questioned it, I was told I was wrong and that I "got a fill last time," which is not true. Instead of explaining, they were rude and dismissive. Also, the workers constantly talk among themselves the entire time, which just adds to the uncomfortable atmosphere when you're already being judged. And the quality was worse too -- glue left all over the nails and they look messy compared to before. Overall, overpriced, unprofessional, and uncomfortable. Would not recommend. read more

I'm the only one who added a fake nail too. The price isn't the problem but it's overpriced for just PAINTING nails... no acrylic and no dip!!!! Even though I ASKED for dip. The lady kept saying "you'll like you'll like" and sorry but I didn't like. I wanted what I asked for but I think there was too much of a language barrier?? I came in looking to have my old gelx soaked off and a new set put on. She started soaking and dremeling my nails down, but eventually just ripped off the old gel. It hurt a little and wound up super damaging my natural nail. The shop was also not the cleanest, and they do not clean their tools. My new set did come out looking great, but at the expense of my natural nail. Overall everyone was very nice and service was fast, but I'll probably only go back if I absolutely have to. read more

Every time I make an appointment and arrive on time or even early, minimum I've waited 25 min, and more than once have had to wait over an hour to be seen. (And also had a similar experience of others walking in and being helped first.)
