The lady who helped me was amazing. I got a little bit lost on my way there, but she didn't do any tardy-shaming which I very much appreciate. I had been having a terrible day before this visit and she really helped my day turn around. I was totally comfortable being neked in front of her which is crazy cuz I'm not really comfortable being neked in front of anyone, really. Tl;dr if you know what to expect with a spray tan and/or aren't trying to fix tan lines, this place is a good place to go. I think it's generally a nice place with nice staff, but there were some unprofessional, unhygienic practices and the staff assured me they could even out my tan lines, and never communicated that my tan goals were unrealistic until after I came back unhappy about the results. I have never had a tan before and was (am) really worried about my tan lines looking really visible for my wedding day. So I booked a custom color deluxe the Wednesday before my wedding this Saturday in the hopes of fixing my tan lines. I met with the employee (keeping her anonymous) and explained my situation and she said they could definitely even out my skin color. I told her I'd never tanned before and let her know my timeline for my wedding and she said it wasn't a problem. She never communicated that my goals weren't realistic. There were a couple of things she did that I didn't love--she didn't give me a robe (I didn't know to ask for one) so when I stepped onto the tanning platform and waited, when she opened the door to join me in the room, I was naked and fully exposed to the hallway. She said she waited for no one to be in the hall, but I wouldn't know that. She also put a lotion on my hands by taking the pump out of the bottle and wiping it directly on my hands. I didn't think it was sanitary and I don't know how many people they've done that to before, but she was so nice I didn't want to say anything. We do the tan, I follow the instructions, again talking about my worry with my tan line for my wedding and she tells me it will look even and to not wear a bra, so I don't rub off the tan. After 24 hours, my tan lines are still super obvious, so I call and ask if it's fully developed. They say it might get a bit darker, but yes it is. I let them know that I'm a little upset because my tan lines are still very uneven. Their first response is to tell me that I should buy their $24 tan extender, which is frustrating, because I just spent $85 including tip, I don't want to buy more products to fix a service. The employee who tanned me called me back and said they'd pay the $24 and give me the extender and would be happy to talk with me in person to see if there's anything that can be done. I come in and the people at the desk offer me a product, and I say I'm waiting to talk to the employee. She comes and gets me and I show her and she essentially says there's nothing she can do, she wouldn't spray me again because it would look worse and that I can't use the product they offered to comp me because it will look bad (so I didn't receive that product). She asks me if someone is doing my makeup for the wedding and I say no--at which point she makes a pretty unkind face that makes me feel embarrassed. Then she just tells me to put more bronzer drops in my foundation to blend it (I don't have bronzer drops, so that's another cost) and then she says this is the problem when you've never tanned before and you do it right before a wedding with no trial run. But I've never tanned before and she made no mention of there being any problem when I first came. So how would I have known?? I took the blame in the conversation because maybe I should have asked more questions, but she assured me multiple times during my appointment that it would be fine and that she could even out my skin tone. And then when I was unhappy, she kind of turned it on me. The entire energy changed by the end of that conversation and they kind of left me feeling like just felt like another bratty bride. If I knew that I was just going to be told I have to use makeup to cover up my tan lines even after I came and got a spray tan to correct it, I would've spent my money on makeup instead. read more

Excellent place to get waxing and/or sugaring. I was worried about finding a new sugaring business when we moved to Santa Barbara and so happy I found Honeys! I usually get sugaring only, but decided to try their European Hard waxing. Glad I did! I had a terrible experience before I found sugaring (they took skin off my eyebrow) and was nervous. I was put at ease and really happy about the results. I still get my under arms sugared though. Would highly recommend! read more

Came here from out of town and they were amazing!! Studio is very clean and super cute! Lots of fun things to shop while waiting or browsing.. we are waiting for an Uber and have a chance to look around at all the fun things they offered! Hailey May was my service provider and she walked me through everything and took care of me and gave me an amazing Tan! Given the amazing reviews and being referred to this place by a friend, I was really looking forward to a great experience. However my experience was quite the opposite. I had scheduled a sugaring service for Thursday at 6:30pm and because I had been working all day I did not check my phone and had rushed straight to my appointment. When I got there, they told me that someone had called to see if I could come in at an earlier time but since I didn't see the message they said it was okay, checked me in and said they'd be right with me. A few minutes later they came out and asked me to wait another 30 minutes...so until around 7pm so get my legs done. I had another appointment for Brazilian sugaring scheduled for the next morning at 10am so I asked if I could just add this appointment onto that one and mentioned I had to be out by 12:20pm at the latest. She said that it was no problem and they could definitely do both services and still get me out on time! When I checked the voicemail all it said was that they wanted to ask me a question about my appointment time and to give them a call back which I never did because I didn't check the message so I was really frustrated that they would just mess with my appointment without my knowledge or confirmation. I had to waste my time and gas to get downtown to their location so this already put a bad taste in my mouth. The next morning rolls around and I get a text from Christine about 30 or so minutes before my appointment asking if I can reschedule for a later time (I believe around 12p/12:30pm). This really frustrated me because I really needed my services done and I had already been rescheduled once, and I was already just about out the door! I explained that I had no flexibility in my schedule that day and Christine said she could make it work. When I got there she still wasn't in, so another girl did my leg sugaring. Afterwards, I had to leave the room so Christine could do somebody's brows and then she would get to my Brazilian (idk if they double booked people or what was going on). I also felt very unwelcome and not like a valued customer at all because while I was sitting in the waiting room for my Brazilian, the receptionist and Christine were talking about where I was and how the receptionist didn't know if I left or not when we literally had a conversation and I was sitting on the couch right next to her..but that's besides the point. The Brazilian itself was good, my only issue there was that she started sugaring when I had clearly booked a Brazilian. And when I mentioned this it felt like she was trying to convince me to continue with the sugar when I had already explained that I've tried both and I prefer waxing at the moment. It was also a red flag to me that she stated "most people don't wax anymore so I didn't even notice you booked a waxing" ...if you're offering a waxing service for Brazilian it doesn't make sense to me that you wouldn't confirm what service you're doing on your client..and I felt very uncomfortable having to explain myself as to why I didn't want the sugaring done. As for the leg sugaring, the lady who did that service was very nice and welcoming and made me feel very comfortable. However the work was not up to my expectations as I saw so many patches of hairs when I got home. I did have uneven hair growth which I discussed with her and didn't expect to come up, but the spots she missed were big patches of long hairs that I then had to clean up myself when I got home. They offered me a discounted price for the Brazilian because I had to wait so long, which I appreciated, but unfortunately that wasn't enough to make up for the stressful and unpleasant experience I had here. I felt that they did not respect my time or effort that I had put in to showing up on time. To me, as a student, it is not easy to pay for services like this so when I do, I am doing it because it's supposed to save me time and offer convenience. Having to waste gas, waste time, and still having to touch up their work was incredibly frustrating. read more
