I traveled down from silver city to get my nails done in a bigger city thinking it would be easier and maybe more fun. Oh how I was wrong. The receptionist (who happened to be the kindest one there) said it would be 30 for a regular pedicure without gel just normal which is perfect and fine for me. Then she said the acrylics are 60. Also perfect and I thought I was getting a good deal as I pay almost 70 here in silver. Anywho after being tossed around from dirty chair to dirty chair I sat down to finish my acrylic set and the man who did my nails was presently very rude. I accidentally ripped one of the false nails off while sitting down and he acted like it was crime to fix the nail.. after a few tense moments my anxiety kicked in and my hands started shaking. I accidentally touched the acrylic with the black paint on the side of my finger and he huffed and grabbed my hand really fast. Which then resulted in me being even more nervous. Not only did he grab my hand fast but the way he was filing my nails and treating them hurt. My thumbs are aching today and I'm full of frustration thinking about the situation. I didn't understand what he wanted me to do with each step cause he would just aggressively point and expect me to know what to do. After all this I was charged a total of almost 120 dollars I believe. Which is weird because as I stated earlier 30 and 60 does not equal 120... throughout the time getting my nails done I heard quite a few women asking why the total was so expensive. I asked as well and there was no clear answer. I couldn't go here again and I recommend others find literally anywhere else. Save your time, energy, mindset and money for a company worth it. *extra notes since I can't post a review on google* I requested a normal pedicure (20$) and an acrylic set (60$) so how in the world was the total 120? Because they didn't listen to the services I wanted even after reminding multiple people multiple times. There was toe nail clippings, finger nail clippings, false nails, all over the place. She said sit down at number 5.. the seat was clinging for dear life to be cleaned The art is messy.. would be fine if my thumbs weren't aching and had to apply antibiotic cream cause I'm terrified due to their cleanliness I will get an infection. Update; I decided to come back and try them again. I decided to try powdered gel nails. My nail technician talked me into getting them and gave me a discount. (Sorry I had forgotten his name). He was quick and efficient. My nails definitely does last longer compared to Asian nails, I had my nails chipped and my acrylics had broken within days from getting them done. The salon got an upgrade. They expanded the building. Ambiance is glowing. Love love love what the place turned into. read more

I really want to give this place more stars. I just move here from the Pacific Northwest and was looking for a new nail salon. I showed the nail tech the design I wanted for my gel manicure and she got the idea right but she rushed through it. Didn't paint all the way up to cuticle, bumpy feeling, and no massage. I love this place! I always makes sure to come when I have nothing else to do bc quality takes time- and that's what you get here! The best times to come without an appointment is right when then open on Saturday mornings, if you work M-F like I do. I typically get a gel manicure and regular pedicure, however, dip nails were suggested to me recently and I've been really happy with the results. Gigi has done my dip twice, she's great, and Kim is who I go to for pedicures. I will even wait for her bc her work is so great! I made an appointment for 2 of us to have mani-pedi's. The woman i spoke with did not use a pleasant tone. I had to change the date 2 days later and heard the same grumbling tone as I did when first making the appointment. I ended up canceling the appointments altogether. Her tone kept coming back to my mind. I decided I didn't want to get what is supposed to be a relaxing service from a place whose initial presentation was so unpleasant. Went to Fancy Nails twice and I won't be coming back a third time...for sure! The first time was innocent enough to warrant a second attempt for a decent manicure. I went to the salon based on Yelp reviews. Had dipped nail extensions done which lasted about 2 weeks until they all started popping off one by one in a 2-day period. For $60 ($45 + $15 tip), they looked nice and i made sure to take good care of them to get the most bang out of my buck. But on day 12, the nail popped off on my left index finger and by day 14 they were all gone. Aren't they supposed to last at least 3-4 wks? Whatever?! Fine! A week of letting my nails recover goes by and I decided to get a gel manicure this time for $25 and regular "Queen" pedi for $40. What a waste of money?!?! The gel manicure was horrifying for 3 reasons: messy application, potential safety issue with the UV lamp and the nail polish started chipping off by day 5! The lamp was so hot it almost felt like it singed my fingers that I had to immediately yank my hands out from under the lamp. I've also attached photos just to show how messy it looked on my nails. Ugh! This review is pretty epic for me but the jury is out: NEVER GOING BACK! read more

For $20 you can get a cheap, decent pedicure. They have lots of polishes to choose from including DND Gel polishes and OPI. Show up EARLY on the weekends, otherwise you will have to wait 30+ minutes. Even though they have several technicians, this place gets busy. Minus half a star because the technician didn't completely remove my old dark polish. Once I returned home, I realized some of the dark polish showed through the fresh coat of lighter polish. This is probably only noticeable to me - but attention to detail is important when you're in the beauty industry. Minus another half a star for not having AC - or for not choosing to use it in the middle of summer in a room full of people inhaling chemicals. read more

I was going to Hollywood Nails in the mall for quite sometime because the quality of work I got from Brian was great. I would get extra long nails so it was important that they wouldn't lift or break during my normal day-to-day routine. (I am rough with my hands.) I happened to stumble on this salon for a pedi when Hollywood Nails was too busy to take me. My first impression was how clean it was. Further, after having a conversation with Gili (co-owner with husband Jack) she quoted me a price for my long nails and told me they too used the better "solar" powders for acrylic nails like Hollywood Nails. She was more than $20 less and it was then that I realized I was being overcharged at Hollywood. A couple people had mentioned the same thing but I chalked it up to my desire for quality and thought they were hassling me. Well, the next time I needed my hands done I went to Gigi. Sure enough, great quality! She left them medium thickness and they withstood my roughness. One thing I absolutely love is Gigi's attention to detail both on my hands and my feet. She takes her time to make sure my cuticles are clean and then after the pedi is over she takes a one last look over and snips off and stragglers of dried skin that may not have been visible while my feet were wet. I love anyone who pays this much attention and demonstrates pride in their work! I highly recommend them for quality work! read more

I had an appointment at 11:30 for a full set. It was a Saturday and they were pretty busy. There were a lot of nail techs and they were all very friendly. I arrived at 11:20 for my appointment and didn't leave until 1:30. I'm usually in and out within 45 minutes at my usual nail salon. So, they do take quite a long time, keep that in mind if you're in a hurry. I asked for coffin shaped nails and was told there would be a $5 charge. I said that was fine, but my nails are no where near coffin shaped, they are completely square. That's my fault, I should've spoken up and asked to file them more. A lot of the regular nail polishes were dried up, I had to chose a different color cause the tech couldn't open the polish I chose. Overall, besides the shape, my nails came out nice. I'm unsure if I'll go back to this salon though. read more
