My first visit, I received a gel manicure. I was a little skeptical at first because of the poor reviews, but this place did not disappoint. I never complain and this is the second time that my nails look horrible and actually embarrassing looking. I asked for a fill and a french gel manicure. It was crooked on a few of my fingers of each hand with bumps of the clear gel painted on instead of smoothed out. When I pulled my hands back to look at them I let the girl know and she said it was too late to fix them because the gel cured. The biggest waste of $60 dollars. Also, a week later yesterday I need a fill because they are catching on things already, she did not push back my cuticles or put lotion on after. I went to go get my nails done and also my eyebrows. Now the pedicure there is great. I also normally like when they do my nails. Pick up today I paid $120 and it was the worst service I have ever gotten there. I got my eyebrows done and it looks like they're not even done. I also asked for simple hearts on my two fingers. I could have done my nails at my house at this level. Just disappointing that I will now have to pay to get my eyebrows fixed and to also get my nails fixed. I do think the people that work there are really nice and have good communication. Like I said their pedicures are great, but I would not go there to get my eyebrows done in the future and I will never return to get my nails done. This nail shop should change their nand from fancy nails to wack nails they charge an arm and a leg for their service and they do a terrible job I went for a pedicure and the lady said 55 for gel I said fine and she was rushing the job didn't buff my nails so when she put the polish on it was bumping I wouldn't recomm this place to anyone. wasnt terrible but very unsanitary i went in for a pedicure and she used a already used file on my nails,buffed off my old nail polish with a used buffer, she also used the foot scrubber that already had other peoples old foot dust on it, then rinsed it off in my water my feet were in and put it back in her cart. she also never changed her gloves after helping another customer put her shoes on and throwing away her stuff that her feet were soaking in. super unsanitary i was it could give zero stars. the service it's self wasn't bad, my toes look okay. read more

Literally the worst pedicure. This place was so busy and I'm not sure why because everything was awful. Very rushed, limited choice of colors (and what they had was old almost empty and filled with tacky polish), not friendly at all, no choices on services so you just get what they give you, your nails are cut crooked and not filed, polish looks worse than a 5 year old, they don't scrub your feet to make them smooth ( which mine are not bad to begin with), they go back and forth from one customer to another, not much as far as sanitation of tools, not a thank you have a nice day when you pay and btw they charge 3% of you want to use a credit card to pay. read more

Will start by saying they get two stars only because I had originally came in and asked for a soak off and plain manicure but changed my mind last minute when I noticed how poor or a job she was doing. First she tried sliding an acrylic nail tip between the gelx and my natural nail, and ripped away at my nail corners with a cuticle clipper. After slipping multiple times and almost jamming the acrylic tip under my cuticle I suggested she soak them off like normal. I've had my eyebrows waxed here twice. Each time, wax was dripped on my eye lashes causing them to get stuck together. Also, they were not even and when I left I had to touch them up myself with tweezers. I'm not sure if it was the same girl, but I tried to give them the benefit of a bad wax after the first time. My first manicure, the nail tech was on her phone the whole time. They don't do a hand scrub or a massage or use lotion at the end. The gel also chipped in less than a week. I tried to go and get my nails just shaped, cleaned and buffed. I wanted a manicure without the polish. There was still dirt in my nails and they weren't buffed, and didn't look much better for the $8. read more

I have never felt so uncomfortable getting a service before. I went in for the first time after grocery shopping at Wegmans. There are two nail places in the same plaza. This one was more convenient and very nice inside. I had received a gel manicure that was definitely rushed. The lotion and massage at the end was just drop on my hands for me to run in. They didn't have me wash my hands after filing or buffing. They didn't file after the polish. The after product looked nice and the price was affordable - $20 for gel and $30 for gel manicure. My nails all started to chip that weekend. I called to come in again to have it fixed. They said they would fix it at no charge. I had a design on my nails so some would have it and others wouldn't so would have to be charged the full amount when i was originally told free. They agreed to redo them, and filed off the colors including the skin around it. The color looks great but I will have to file them and get al the clear coat that it al over my hands. I ignored all of those things and kept saying thank you for getting me in after work. She wouldn't respond to anything that I said. Then said people chip their own nails to get free manicure and ware their time. She was disrespectful and treated my like a child. People have bad days and don't always do their best work...all those things can be forgiven but the worst customer service that i have ever seen. Why did I go back ? Why did I stay? I've gone here twice for acrylic fills. The 1st visit the customer service was not very good. But everyone can have an off day. The nails looked nice and stayed on. I got a different person the 2nd time and she was not friendly at all, either. She made my nails flat although I asked for rounded. Since she said she couldn't understand me, I even asked the customer next to me to show her her nails and she still made them flat. First and LAST time I will give this place my business. I should have listened to the little voice in my head after the rudeness while making my appointment over the phone. I felt VERY uncomfortable and unwelcome. My pedicure/manicure were very rushed - like she couldn't wait to get me out the door. I have been going to this place because it is close by for about 10 years. Last summer I noticed there was a sign that they don't accept tips on ccds. Pain in the butt. No to mention, unfair to the workers. I used to do nails and own a salon and that is the cost of doing business. You can add into your pricing. SO I always had to go to Wegmans to get cash and pay for atm in order to tip every time I went there, but then it got worse. The last time I went, they added an ATM machine so you could pay them to get tip money for the girls. But, last week I lost it. I used the machine and paid 2.50 to get a 20.00 bill, to tip the girl 5.00 while I was waiting for my daughter to get her nails done. The full set was 28.00. They told me I could not pay by credit card, there was a 30.00 minimum to use cc. she pointed to a paper which was a paper sign taped onto the top of the desk along, with a taped menu. I know from owning a salon, that NYS requires your pricing to be visible to everyone in the salon. Since I only had a 20 and a credit card on me, I had to pay another 2.50 on the atm to pay the 28.00 and tip the girl. She said I should have read the menu. But I didn't know if my daughter was going to get nail art, or what...so how would I know what the total is ahead of time? I was so upset. The 30.00 minimum is ILLEGAL and I knew it, and I told them. The manager proceeded to argue with me. I handed the girl her 5.00 tip and left. The federal Law is 10.00 minimum and I attached the law to their pics. I hope this is up a long time before they see it because they do not have a facebook page or a website. Probably too cheap. Most of their services are under 28.00. They are forcing you to spend more in order to use a cc which is illegal and they are doing it because they are hiding money from their sales tax. Period. And, two tips broke the first week. Makes me want to open a shop in the same block and show them how you are supposed to treat customers and employees! read more

I've been going here for years, ever since I worked at the Wegmans next store in highschool. One of my favorite things about it is how quickly you can get in and out. They're efficient- I can usually get a gel manicure in 30/45 minutes at most. And while an appointment is nice I've walked in many times without one and never waited very long at all. They can be a little short with you on the phone or at the door sometimes but I think it's partly the language barrier. Everyone is always friendly when doing your nails so don't let that scare you. A rude lady who Calls herself manager I took my 7yrs daughter for refills after a long wait, without letting me know she left my daughter half way and jumped to take another client. Even though Others had no clients. My daughter came to me crying with bloody Fingers, For a mother it's Unbearable to see someone hurting her child or act disrespectfully with them. I had to stand up and questioned her act. This act was Child abuse. To misguide and cover her fault She called the Police while I was paying. Although I was the one who supposed to call the police, but I didn't want to create trouble for anyone. Even the officer disagreed with her call and unprofessional act Which discriminates anyone. I don't like giving poor reviews but don't go here. I went with a bridal party (appointment made ahead of time), and one of the girls with us waited for 20 minutes after her pedicure to have anyone help her for her manicure. The rest of us were all already drying our nails. Some of us got acrylics, some just got regular polish. All but one of us left with crooked nails. I even politely asked if mine could be evened out a little...still crooked. I needed the polish on one nail fixed, and rather than removing the polish she added another layer of polish and top coat ON TOP of the base coat, two coats of polish and top coat already on my nails. We all went home and had to file our own nails to fix what they did...butchered. read more

The only reason I would say to go here is because it is a very clean salon. I have gotten a full set two times and both times the nails were crooked or have fallen off with in a day or two. I do like their pedicures they usually last about 45 minutes for me but only because I always ask for hot water and it takes a while. There is one American girl who works there and she does an amazing job on the pedicures but she is hard to come by. I wouldn't even suggest to go here if you were in a rush. If I could give Fancy Nails a 0 I would. I went there today for a pedicure and had the absolute worst service. I sat in the chair for 15 minutes until someone was able to help me. The lady who did my nails rushed through the process and cut down my nails without asking and then made them way too curvy. Additionally, the french tip was completely uneven and she barely put on a top coat. I went to get my nails done with my daughter today for our trip to Florida. This has been our go to the nail place but today we were disappointed with the service. A young man about 13 looking was supposedly doing my daughter's nails with absolutely no idea what he was doing. They painted twice after messing up once and left them wet so they were ruined upon returning home. We will not be returning. read more
