Very disappointed. Very unfriendly. Got tips put on and it looks horrible. Nail polish on my fingers. Very sloppy manicure. Its always busy so i figured it was good but it is not. The only one that looked like he was doing a good job was probably the owner in the front. I now have to get nail polish remover and fix my nails. I wasted $33. Im very much annoyed. Yes, I am one of the evolved men who enjoy a good pedicure every once in a while (or every two weeks), and I don't understand why there are so many negative reviews. I used to frequent a nail salon (when did they become nail spas?) in Boca for close to 4 years that I was really happy with, but it doesn't come close to Fancy Nails. This has to be one of the worst experiences I've ever experienced getting my nails & feet done. I made an appt. the day before. I was taken right away but after my pedicure I had to wait over 30 minutes for my nail tech. The girl the manager did before me wasn't happy with her service as well! I should have realized then this wasn't going to be a good fit! She also had the powder nails & this manager is actually arguing with her! She stopped working on me & told me she was going to apply top coat when actually she was fixing her nails for at least 15 min. After I was done I put on my glasses & took a really good look at my nails & feet! Not happy whatsoever & definitely will not be back! This was the most unprofessional experience I have ever had at a nail salon. I went in for a pedicure and the technician was clearly unlicensed. She didn't even know how to cut a nail. When I voiced my concerns to the owner, she even admitted that the technician was not licensed and didn't seem concerned at all as she allowed the technician to continue to work on other customers while I was still in the salon. read more

Have been coming to this salon for a couple of years now as a local resident, nothing special. I call it a "hit or miss" salon but good in a pinch. I've seen the manager Heidi act out and be incredibly mean, rude, and unprofessional to employees or PATRONS but never to me personally. This appointment was a disaster. Do not go here; the work is subpar and you are better off spending your time somewhere where they value your business. Heidi is UNBELIEVABLY rude and is a disgraceful manager. I didn't like how my nails turned out and offered to pay twice for the service to have them redone because I was in a time crunch and needed them done, and she screamed at me in front of the entire salon. Called me a "bully" and then made fun of me for offering to pay twice, told me I don't "understand how business works" and told me I was irrational and to leave. I was FLOORED. The employees felt bad and apologized behind Heidi's back for how she was treating me, offered me tissues when I was crying. Do not go here!!!! The wait wasn't long, I came in for a full set of acrylic only. The women doing my nails persisted with telling me that nexgen was better I literally had to say NO 5 times. Linda definitely did not take no for an answer. After she realized that I only wanted acrylic she then started to do my nails. I wanted acrylic on my natural nails but for some reason she couldn't do that. After putting the acrylic on my nails I had to constantly tell her that the nails were uneven. After getting all my nails with the right measurements she then started to put the gel coat on. Mind you she didn't even allow me to wash my hands after filing them which is odd and unclean. She actually said that I didn't have to. 8 days later I now have 2 missing nails and one on each finger. Linda did a TERRIBLE job and I will never go back to that establishment. Ps all my nails are lifting and it hasn't even been 2 weeks. Actually while I was there a customer walked out because she was so unsatisfied I wish I would have followed suit. I'm not sure where all the negative reviews are coming from. I have experienced some techs I liked better than others, but overall it has always been great. The Nexgen were professionally done and last 4 weeks+, the pedicures are great and the staff is friendly and helpful. I would not go anywhere else. My last salon, the Nexgen were coming off after 10 days and I was told it was because I typed on a computer. In addition, Fancy Nails is very patient and sweet to their older clientele. I used to take my Mom (86) to them for her monthly pedicure and I have watched how nice they are with other senior citizens. read more

I know when you do a pay forward deed you don't Bragg. This is not about bragging For a pat on my back, don't want it and don't need it. Today at 2pm went in for a walk in many pedi treatment. I sat with Nancy. Very nice lady. I wanted to do something special for someone. Try to get a pedicure without the nail treatment for a little boys who's mom was getting a pedicure. So he didn't have to seat and wait and he could at least enjoy the massage part. The owner of he salon told me she didn't do therapeutic massages. Ok... I gladly said thank you. Then as I'm paying my tab. There was this nice older woman who was getting pedicure and acrylic manicure. I told Nancy to charge me for her pedicure. 23.00, but didn't said anything. Since I had no cash for tiping I went to publix to withdraw cash. When I went back to tip Nancy. The lady I paid for pedicure was still there, God prompted me to tell her I paid for her pedicure. The older lady told me she paid for all her services. The owner but in the conversation saying I paid for the mom of the little boy, so to make a long story short. She charged the lady i had paid for her mani as well. I told her God is not blind. To the owner of the salon. Your character makes your business and honesty. This place is hands down awful. I went in for a gel soak off and not only did it take 45 minutes, the acetone was on my fingers so long that I had a chemical burn afterwards. Seriously. And then they had the audacity to charge me $10! At Tipsy across the street, they charge you $5 and do it in 15 minutes. Buyer beware... This place is a ripoff -- and it's low-rent. This is the worst place I have ever been to. The nail tech sawed off my feet. I told him to stop because he was hurting me to discover that my feet were bleeding. I went back to get my money back after my feet got progressively worse and was told nothing could be done and talk to the manager who of course wasn't there. First time coming here and just wanted nex gen nails with a pedicure to match. The owner was the worst experience in my eyes. The nail tech who did my pedicure was just trying to help me match the colors and assist me the best she could. The owner intruded rolled her eyes as she said "it's not going to be perfect just pick." I understand it won't be perfect and I'm not asking it to be I was just looking for a color I liked. If I am paying I should leave happy. Pedicure was great and was happy with what me and the nail tech decided. The owner left a very bad taste in my mouth and my time was not spent enjoyed. These ppl are RACIST!!! 3 of us met up at this nail salon. My white friend got out of the car as I looked for parking. My Latin friend met me outside. We walked in and my friend was already in the pedicure chair. She told them she had two friends coming in they prepped two more chairs right next to Kay. They told us they were BOOKED FOR THE DAY. The water was cold, I asked for it to get hotter & my request was not met. My cuticles wee pushed back hard & skin cut & sprayed with something that stung! My heels were barely scrubbed & my "massage" included scratching. I'm going to start at the beginning and apologize ahead of time for the lengthy review. I would want to know this story going into a place of business, especially one I planned on supporting by giving my business to. Going into Fancy Nails, I had an appointment at 1:00. Upon my arrival I was asked to pick a color, take a seat, and they would "be right with me". A walk in came in after me and they were told they'd have about a 30-45 minute wait. I ignored this thinking that they'd be right with me considering my appointment was made and it was the time of my appointment. After thirty minutes went by, nothing. I remained patient hoping it was just a little mishap of them running late. 45 minutes from my appointment time another woman comes in with a 2:00 appointment. Upon her entrance, she was informed she would have an hour wait. She said "with an appointment?" I told her that mine was at 1:00 and I didn't think they really cared about it. Other than that comment, I remained patient. An hour and fifteen minutes I am finally seen. There is no apology for the wait. Twenty four hours later, one of the nails fall off while I am putting clothes in the washer. I get that nail fixed the next day. The day after that, TWO more nails fall off. The next morning another. I go in to get them fixed, just as I was told to when I called. When I arrived, I was told again, "they'll be right with you." Once again, 15 minutes go by and nothing. Another customer walks in and they're told they'll have an hour wait. I go to the counter and ask what time I would be seen since I was told to come back. They then told me to make an appointment for the next day. That would be today. I went into the salon at my appointment time. Shockingly, I was seen on time. Heidi, who I am told is the owner, didn't say hello or anything. Instead, she simply said, "Go to my table." I did so silently. I sat down, she sat down. Instead of getting to work, she decided to start off by saying, and I quote, "Your nails didn't fall off because of us, they fell off because of YOU." I stopped her in her tracks as I have never been so insulted. After all of this, she didn't bother to apologize nor even say hello to a REPEAT LOYAL customer. Rather, she told the customer how it was THEIR FAULT. I will not be returning with my business as there are many more worthy small businesses looking for loyal customers. Just thought to share my most recent experience of how Fancy Nails and Heidi wasted 7 hours of my week and I still haven't gotten my nails repaired. read more

Want to be treated rudely and like you're a nuisance? If so, go to Fancy Nails. I'd been going there for pedicures for years until recently when the owner started hiring substandard nail techs. It's closest to my home so I occasionally give it another chance. But that's over. I booked a pedi and mani at 5 on a Friday. I asked for a specific female tech I know is good. When I showed up, they gave me a guy instead. I didn't complain and gave him a chance. As he worked, it became clear he was very inexperienced. He did my mani first so I could dry while he did my pedicure. He had some gaps in the polish so he added a third coat and then put a very thick layer of top coat. I sat still while he spent 40 min on my toes. That night while sleeping, my nails got creased and messed up because the polish never set due to it being much too thick. I returned to the salon at 2 the next day and asked the owner if I could get a quick polish change. She was very annoyed, would barely acknowledge my presence and only said he was busy and to come back in 2 hours. I asked if someone else could handle it because I had to get home to get ready for an event. No. Period. As I tried to speak to her further, she completely ignored me. The owner knows I am a long time customer but clearly that means nothing. If she had even just been gracious about it, I wouldn't have walked out of there feeling completely insulted and dismissed. The ONLY reason I gave 2 stars is because I had decent experiences there in the past. I am still stunned. Back to Noir Nails I go. It's a drive but worth not being insulted. read more

The absolute worst pink and white acrylic work I have had in 30 years of wearing nails. I interrupted Peter as he did my nails numerous times only to be completely ignored. I told him several times I had a problem with what he was doing. He just kept working like he didn't hear me. I asked the owner if there was someone else that could do my nails. She said no. You can soak off and leave. I had nails on when I went in there and now it was 4:30 on the Friday before Labor Day. They refused to do anything to make my nails wearable. I got up and walked out. Never in my life have I seen a service business treat people this way. The work was horrific. The service was worse than that. Cannot believe this place stays open. I will be reporting them to the cosmetology commission, the better business bureau and whoever else I can think of. I went to Tipsy across the street. I went in there for a underarm wax and they double dipped my stick. I asked the woman if this was standard practice and she insisted that it was fine because they use a clean stick for each customer. I tried to explain to her that this was very dangerous because they were putting a used stick back into a communal wax pot. She still insisted that it was fine because she used a clean stick on every customer, even after I explained that there are communicable diseases that can be spread when you put a stick that has touched human skin back into the wax pot. The girl was talking on her cellphone with her boyfriend the whole time, and when I stopped her to fix a bubble that surface on the polish, she pretended that it was not there. This place is awful. The lady who appears to run the place is rude to the customers and was actually talking about them to other customers. My gel manicure bubbled up and peeled off within one day. The fill I got didn't meet the cuticle so my nails looked exactly the same as when I walked in. The guy just covered what I already had and left the gap. Who does that? And that awful fill costed the same as a full set at any other place. Poor work, high prices and all ruled by and extremely rude manager. My advice is to stay away. read more
