I live 5 minutes from here and walked in one day to get info and made appointment with recommended tech. Mani/Pedi, foot massage and eyebrow wax are my usual services. I have skin condition and very happy they used all sanitized/clean equipment stuff right down to buffer new for each client. Germaphobe heaven right? Great tips... Fast forward a few months and several visits: same tech. I was going to Europe to represent USA in an athletic event and asked if they could paint toenails 3 colors (red/white/blue-specifically big toes only were blue-no special design). Tech went to boss at front, came back and said it was an extra $5.00?!!!?! Seriously? When tech was asked why-she said that's what the boss said. When exiting and paying I made a comment about the ridiculousness of this charge, especially because I'd been there before and get more than the average done. She blamed charge on the tech. I said well, we'll just deduct that from tip then and I'll never be back. No comment because they don't care. They burnt my feet , cut my nails way to short , I didn't pay attention because the burn hurt so bad from the heated towels that she kept squeezing into my feet even after I said it hurt. The manager or female owner needs a lesson on diplomacy, overall kindness, and understanding of "the customer is a priority" concept. When I walked in, she acted like she was doing me a favor to wait on me. She seemed irritated when I asked a basic question. Instead of making me feel comfortable, such as asking me if I would like a glass of water or turning on the massage button while having me sit for 20 minutes in the pedicure chair to wait for a nail tech, I felt tension instead of relaxation. It also seems like money is tight because they always up-charge. The last time I was in for nails, they told me a price and then the bill charged me an extra $5 -for coffin shape of my nail. I'm not sure if it is a big deal or not but it happens that my bill is always more than original discussion. Is it normal to charge extra to shape a nail to coffin, not sure. Can't rate salon. Been going for 12 years and with an appointment I waited 25 minutes. When I questioned wait owner was rude. I don't mind waiting 20 minutes as I was initially told but it became twenty five minutes. Walkins are told the wait could be that long. She became rude when I refused to soak my feet because I couldn't wait any longer and asked to reschedule. She said she couldn't guarantee not waiting. Getting my nails done is supposed to be a way to treat myself every two weeks. Although the shop is pretty, and conveniently located for me, i will not be returning. I tried to give this place a few tries and after repeatedly leaving disappointed, i've decided three strikes they're out. Here are pictures of today's manicure. Nail polish all over my cuticles and this is after i told the nail tech to please clean them up. She responded that eventually the nail polish would come off my cuticles..... seeing my disappointment, the nail tech gave me $5 off my bill which was nice of her but not enough to make up for my disappointment and frustration. When I became frantic, Heidi said they didn't know if they had Covid because they weren't tested.... Also Tammy refused to look at me because she knew the truth and the receptionist was obviously not feeling well. I am scared to death that they exposed me to Covid. I have no idea why there are any negative reviews... I saw one post where the lady is upset about a $5 dollar extra charge for different colors making me think she is inexperienced with getting her nails done. She also mentioned chipping her manicure... everyone knows that if you want long lasting nails you have to go with nexgen or gel. Anyways the salon is very new looking and well taken care of. I am always able to squeeze in a last minute appointment, which is amazing since I work right around the corner. Danny is awesome but I've had great experiences with all techs. Consistency! I went to this salon regularly 10 years ago and then moved away. I just returned to the area and popped in AFTER trying all of the other newer salons in the area. This one is still the best. Easy and quick service. Clean and professional. I've read the other reviews. Heidi, the owner, may not be the most personable, but she knows how to run a business. And I respect that. You don't survive for this long without good management. If you want a long and luxurious nail appointment, go to a spa. Update: NOW I know why they have horrid reviews. I've came here about five or six times and the only time is was amazing was my first. I kept hoping it would be as great and it never lived up. Today will be my last day. Getting our nails done is supposed to be relaxing not stressful, that makes no sense! The woman who did my pedicure rushed and cut me TWICE! I had to ask her to slow down and do it right. The woman who did my manicure butchered my poor nails, it looks like a 10 year old did them. Getting nails done is EXPENSIVE, we should never leave wanting to cry. NEVER EVER again. And the best part? After telling the manager she didn't offer any help whatsoever! Went here for a manicure and pedicure. I have been here before several times, with good service. The owner, Heidi, wrapped my nails with remover and told me to wait for Michael. I was supposed to have a pedicure first, but was told there was no one available and I would have to wait for Michael. When Michael was available half an hour later than my appointment time, I asked him about my nail colors. Heidi interrupted and was yelling at me for questioning him. When I told her I wasn't talking to her, she told me she is the owner. I told her I was aware of that. She went into a rage, screaming that she could throw me out. This behavior is rude and inappropriate, especially from a business owner. I told her it was fine with me and that I did not want to stay. I told Michael that I was sorry I could not stay, and that he was an excellent worker but as a paying customer, I should not be treated with such disrespect. What a shame this salon is convenient and in a good location with nice amenities but wow the front desk staff is just so rude and disorganized. I went here twice and liked the technician (Lori) but when I tried to book a 3rd time they gave me a song and dance about how she's busy and when she gets busy she makes mistakes so how about I book with someone else - when I finally gave in and booked with someone else I then arrived and they had a 45 min wait. I've been coming here for years. It's cleaner than other places around and they do a good job for the price. The employees are very sweet but most don't speak English well. They try though. The work is perfect 9/10 times. I recommend it to all my friends. I have had a couple bad experiences over the years but it usually had to do with a new employee that didn't know what he/she was doing, and non of them are still currently employed. I still come back regularly. I will say that people in boynton beach tend to be cranky and entitled and the owner will not tolerate a customer who treats the workers poorly. Made an appointment today as per the new regulation. Showed up on time and was told it would be a moment. 20 minutes later I was told it would just be another moment said they were finishing up. When I said that is not how it's supposed to work there is supposed to be 15 minutes between clients the nasty woman call me we're doing the best we can. I wanted to like this place... I got nextgen before the hurricane- they did a subpar job: uneven and thick. Well everyone can have a bad day. So I went to have them removed- they didn't put enough acetone or whatever that solution is on my nails, so they had to file off the next gen. Of course they overfiled causing my nails to be so thin they bend like paper. Not happy- why don't these nail techs care about destroying the nail bed- it's their job to know what they're doing. read more
