The first crew, Joshua, Brandon, and Ben, were incredibly polite, deliberate, and careful with the move. They were incredibly flexible and made sure everything was completed quickly and safely. By the end of the two days, I felt as if I should invite them over for dinner, as they not only worked efficiently, but created an uneventful environment at a very stressful time. Everything went smoothly. The second crew, Ray and ?? (I'm sorry but I forget his name), were equally as pleasant. Everything was delivered as expected with no issues to my daughter's home. Nothing was damaged. None of the property was knicked, banged, scratched. I would highly recommend Colony Movers to any friend who needs moving assistance.

We had a reservation with Colony the day before we were closing on the sale of our house. The…read moredriver showed up, but shortly thereafter, walked off the job! The driver was obnoxious, complaining and stomping around, snarling and glowering with teeth clenched, and I told him I didn't appreciate it. He took offense. By the time Colony got here, my husband and I, age 76, were exhausted, working on too little sleep for days. We didn't need complaints from a well-rested prima donna who'd just come back from FOUR DAYS off with pay (long Thanksgiving weekend). Colony couldn't find a substitute driver and crew. Thank goodness, we were able to find a local company that stepped in. Otherwise, we'd have been non-compliant with our closing agreement.

Being able to communicate via email, and getting all my many questions answered quickly, was a huge advantage over other companies I contacted. Jim was running slightly late at his previous job, but called me ahead of time to let me know, which I appreciated. And I surely put him in the exact same position with his next client, as I kept adding things beyond what we originally discussed I wanted removed once he was here, including a queen sized mattress/boxspring and a heavy bureau. And at the end of the job, Jim asked for the exact same payment he had originally quoted, which was slightly less than the other quote I received from a competitor (we decided to add on ourselves, but it was a generous offer). Everyone was extremely nice, friendly, and wore masks when inside without me having to ask. Highly recommend.

Our experience with Cape Cod Gutters was extremely disappointing and, in our view, completely…read moreunprofessional. The company provided an estimate to install gutters, we agreed to the terms, and the job was scheduled. On the first installation date, they did not show up and did not call. The job was rescheduled. On the second date, again, there was no show and no call. We then rescheduled a third time and were given an absolute assurance that the installation would take place. Once again, the company failed to appear. By that point, the project had been delayed approximately one month, and I had taken multiple days away from other responsibilities specifically to be home for the installation. On the morning of the third missed appointment, I contacted the owner. Rather than apologizing or attempting to resolve the situation professionally, he laughed and told me, "It's not happening today, buddy." When I explained that three missed appointments without notice were unacceptable and that I had rearranged my schedule repeatedly based on their commitments, the conversation became aggressive and included foul language from the owner. After terminating that conversation, we subsequently received a text asking whether we wanted to schedule yet another installation date. At that point, we had no confidence left in the company. Three separate no-shows without proper communication, repeated assurances that were not honored, and the owner's response when confronted about the situation made this one of the most frustrating contractor experiences we have had. Our concern ultimately went beyond scheduling. If a company cannot reliably communicate, keep appointments, or handle a legitimate customer complaint professionally before the work even begins, it raises serious questions about what kind of response a customer could expect if there were ever a workmanship, warranty, or follow-up issue after installation. We chose not to proceed with Cape Cod Gutters. Based solely on our experience, we found the company unreliable, extremely difficult to communicate with, and lacking the level of professionalism we expect from a contractor.
