Have you ever felt the pressure of an impending deadline? Has your own livelihood ever depended on…read morethe speed and efficiency of someone you don't even know? If you are ever in this bind again and your impossible mission has something to do with Media duplication, replication, authoring or even getting your demo reel edited and posted online for that next big audition, then pull yourself together and contact the folks at Lightning Media. When I say they do it all, I mean it. They are a true full service facility that can handle damn near any post-production or multi-media need. In almost five years of utilizing their services I have NEVER been done wrong. And trust me; I've given them ample opportunity to mess things up. So on Friday my boss calls me at the end of the day and tells me to get a project dubbed on DVD...what me worry? Then he calls back just a bit later and tells me to "make it 100 copies and make sure you get them delivered by Tuesday, I'll send you a list of recipients" OK, by this time it's 6pm. That means I got til 4:30pm Monday to pick up a finished product and stuff who knows how many FED EX envelopes and make the East Coast deadline by 6pm. I was seriously looking at my phone sideways as he's telling me all this. Of course, I'll need to put custom artwork on the DVD's, and of course the person with the artwork needs to re-format it first. Naturally, I have a crazed look in my eye as I head out the door with product minus artwork. I walk into Lightning Media and they're packed (was there any doubt at this point?). I explain my mission to the young lady and then tell her I absolutely need it completed by Monday afternoon no if's and's or but's. She doesn't even flinch and then has me fill in the info on the work order. When she asks me if I'd like any artwork added to the DVD's I answer "yes, but I don't have it yet." Like a zen warrior she picks up a phone, mumbles something and then asks if I can have it by tonight... "of course" I reply. "Then it's no problem" she re-assures me. Dutifully, I verify that our artwork was emailed in by 7:15pm that evening. Later that night my phone rings at 10:52pm from a number I don't recognize. I cautiously answer, "hello". It's Lightning Media, I can come by at noon on Saturday to pick up my order. And just like that, my impossible mission is accomplished. Yes, there are cheaper facilities in town, but would you pay just a tad more for peace of mind? I would, and if my ass is on the line I want someone who scoffs at the impossibility of silly little mission's like my own.

This review is going to be honest and straight to the point. I was looking for Office space at a…read morefilm studio on the Universal Studios lot in Burbank Ca. I love the history of Burbank and its affiliation with most of the movies ever made on the big screen. Full of famous people, from actors, to producers, etc. I was just a few days away from signing a lease on an office space at Universal when a good friend recommended a Film Studio in the Heart of Burbank, on Burbank Blvd. I was introduce to the buildings owners and I was then taken on an exciting tour of the 8000 square foot building. The walk through was unexplainable. As a Film Producer of 13.5 years I have never been so inspired to be surrounded by so many other creative people. This location is just over flowing with abundance and good vibes. The Energy at 4000 West is unlike any others. Every day there is something being filmed, acted, taught, and produced that an average tenant can have the opportunity to get involved in some major projects that could lead to other film projects. I would not consider any other location after being here since March 1, 2019. This location boasts a large CYC. It houses a Multipurpose room for a film set. It has a Theater style room being remodeled into a screening room. Also featuring a large conference room and multiple office spaces for short and long term rentals. I am very pleased to say I am part of the family at 4000 West and I would like to encourage others to just make an appointment and witness the production vibe I felt the day I walked in here. It will change your life.

We finally got to see the film screened at a festival in all its glory -- projected on 2k on a 40x60 ft screen and it was soooo amazing! The sound, the picture, everything came out perfect and we couldn't be more pleased by the work done by Archetype. There is NO ONE else that I would trust more than John at Archetype for the service he provides and the care he takes in taking your sweat, blood, and tears from post and translating it to a beautiful DCP in either 2k or 4k. If that's 2k I can't wait to see it in 4k!! I highly recommend you do the same and put your film in his hands because he will care for it as if it was your first born.

If you're an actor in need of a theatrical demo reel you need to STOP dead in your tracks and thank…read moreyour lucky stars that you found RFW. I've been in the business for over 15 years and enjoyed most of my career successes as a voice actor. A few years ago I decided to make the transition into film and television. If you're on a similar path, you know that having a GREAT demo reel isn't just important - a GREAT reel is a necessary element in your overall marketing efforts. If you've never had the opportunity to be a part of a professional film or television production you can't simply splice nonexistant work product together to showcase your talents and abilities. That said, if you don't have actual footage of film or TV work you can't make a demo - which means you will most likely not be provided with the same opportunities that seasoned, actors get on a daily basis from agents and casting professionals. In my humble opinion, you are left with two choices: 1.) PRAY that a casting director likes your headshot, calls you in to read, sees your potential in the audition, takes a chance and hires you. Then, after you're hired, cross your fingers that footage from that ONE gig can be leveraged into a legitimate piece of marketing to generate more audition opportunities (assuming your scene(s) aren't lost on the cutting room floor). 2.) Make your demo reel by enlisting friends or fellow actors to shoot fabricated scenes that you HOPE end up being an excellent marketing showpiece (which they probably won't). Frankly, both options suck (I've tried both). 1.) You can't bank on casting directors recognizing your abilities or talents without providing proof of such outside of an audition. The entertainment business is somewhat of a closed system. Most actors are banking on luck, and the law of averages is (regretfully) not in your favor. Casting Directors aren't always willing to take a chance on an unknown commodity, regardless of how great your performance in the audition might be. A casting professional NEEDS to see what you're capable of before they can gain the confidence to advocate on your behalf. 2.) Being resourceful is great/admirable, but if you're not a seasoned filmmaker, your bootstrapped demo reel might elicit the opposite reaction. In a world of cheap, proliferated technology, aspiring actors and filmmakers forget that end-results are not directly connected to the great gear. DSLR's and moderately priced cinema cameras might be capable of capturing beautiful images, but you need vision, experience, and finesse to utilize those tools properly. That said, even if you manage to capture beautiful footage - other elements of the production will (most likely) suffer if you're not experienced in filmmaking. Writing, sound, lighting, editing...These skill sets are not easily mastered. So, what is the hell are you supposed to do? Hire Relentless Film Works! Steve, Troy, Amber, Arnella, Peggy, Steven (and everyone else I may have left out) are working PROS. They create THE BEST demo reels in the business. Their original writing, directing and set dressing is amazing. They take care of everything except your actor homework and wardrobe. My experience with RFW was STELLAR. DON'T HESITATE FOR A MOMENT. They know how to get shit done! In fact, they were more productive and streamlined than some professional studio productions in which I have taken part. Their stable of talent both behind (as well as in front of) the camera is impressive. You will NOT be disappointed. Be Fearless! Be Relentless!
