This place is scam. If you don't buy their scam insurance, they'll find a way to scam you anyway. As I was riding the scooter at a slow speed, a part fell off. I didn't even hit a bump, so it was pretty obvious to me that it was not even secured to the scooter. When I returned it, they said, you didn't buy insurance so we have to charge you. I said how can something that falls off during normal use be my fault? Of course they were determined to continue their scam and didn't care what I had to say. So I'm left with no choice but to leave this negative review. read more

We had a fantastic morning today doing a private e-scooter tour through Central Park! We are the WORST with names so we can remember our guide's name, but he was from Bay Area, CA like us. He was incredibly kind and patient and most importantly made sure we were safe! We had some experience on e-scooters due to a recent trip to DC, but DC is not nearly as crowded as NYC. Our guide made sure we didn't get mowed down by any cyclists and that we knew what to expect at each turn. My 11 year old son seemed disinterested at times, because well, he's a moody preteen! But our guide was still able to engage with him. We covered so much ground in Central Park and our guide was so knowledgeable. We even went back and explored some more on foot after our tour. Highly recommend, especially if you are an NYC first timer like us! Worth it! read more

Bikes were in good shape. Unfortunately, our tour guide wasn't available so my party had to do a self guided tour.

1st time renting bikes we wanted to get to enjoy Central Park without walking for hours ! Just keeping in mind you are not allowed to bike everywhere in the park only on the road, so you will make loops. We got a fairly good price with online reservation ~20$ for 2 hours for an additional 10$ you can get 4h The location is just minutes away from one of Central Park entrance !! Definitely recommend this place read more

Easy check in! Bikes were in great shape. The bikes were ready to go before we arrived. Enjoyed the bikes for 4 hours all around Central Park. I highly recommend! read more

I research bike rentals and this one came up as the best. So I booked it 4 months in advance. I requested 2 electric bikes for 24 hours. They communicated with me and stayed in contact the entire time. They sent me a confirmation email a few days before the trip. The rental day was finally here and we were not able to use the rental on that day. I contacted the shop and requested to change the rental to the next day and they were absolutley fantastic and accommodating. They changed the rental to the next day with no problem whatsoever. These guys are the best. They helped to make our trip fantastic. We were able to enjoy an entire day in Central Park, Riverside, downtown and all around Manhatten. We stopped for lunch and later for drinks. We took in a ton of sites. Went down streets and alleyway. It was definitely the way to see NYC in a day. I will never rent another car when coming to NY. No cost for parking. You fit everywhere. If you haven't gotten my drift yet, this was a fantastic fun thing to do. I must say thank you so much to the Fancy Apple crew. I highly recommend this place and these guys. They are the best. read more

We were traveling with a 4 yr old, a lot of luggage and 2 elderly folks and a pregnant lady. Thank you for accommodating all our requests and making this a very pleasant experience. The explanation at each stop and the level of detail was very good through out Central Park with a lot of historical detail peppered in. read more

Great rental experience. Very helpful staff. Everything went as expected. We did the 2 hour and was enough time to see Central Park. Heads up though the scooters are not allowed in a lot of the important places and you will need to park them read more

Great experience renting from fancy Apple bikes! All went really well. Guys are very easy to work with.

Bikes were amazing easy to use. Skip the Trek get a normal ass bike. You'll thank me later

Super super cool! Great customer service ! If you wanna see Central Park this is the best way

It was easy to reserve a bike on the website, when I called on the phone they were super friendly. Once I came in person they saw how young I was (F21), I rented a bike for my Bf (M23) since he doesn't have his own bike, I was constantly ignored and talked over. The guy didn't treat the other people ahead of me the same and he kept my ID and made jokes about if I would steal. He didn't keep other customers IDS and just took pictures. To be honest we won't come back and just invest in fixing my BFS bike as it wasn't hard to travel with our bikes from Jersey. If you're older you'll get a better experience for sure :) read more

They were friendly. Unfortunately our tour guide was not available. They offer a later time but we were on a tight schedule. They were able give us a refund four the tour and just charge for the bikes. read more

Nice location close to Central Park. Easy to reserve bikes online beforehand. Nothing fancy at the shop, but the guys were friendly and helpful and the prices were reasonable. Bikes worked well. Helmet fitting was an issue, but that's what you get with rented equipment. read more

They have so many people that they don't pay attention to what they are renting. They didn't have helmets even when we came with a child under 14. And the worst... They gave me an electric bicycle that I rented for an hour and the battery ran out after 15 minutes, the man who dispatched them told me that surely it would be enough for him and obviously it was a lie. So I had to drag it a few kilometers back to the store in the sun and heat and without being able to use it since the direction of the bikes was the opposite. When the attendant arrives, He tried to solve it, but the time and experience lost are simply not worth it. I recommend renting public bikes on the outskirts of Central Park.

Great bike shop! We went here to rent bikes for two adults and a toddler (we wanted a bike with a seat attached for him). The staff is so helpful and kind. It was a great experience! read more

First time here and definitely will be the last. Would not recommend this place due to poor customer services and equipments. Rented three bikes and two scooters for two hours to ride in Central Park. Bike seats were uncomfortable and then handles are not the same. You can tell the original came off on one side and another was put on. The bike gears was horrible. Very difficult to see depending on which bike you got and very difficult to switch on all the bikes. We had difficulty with all three bikes not able to switch the gears pass 3. Gears sucks so bad that it did nothing when riding incline. There's no resistance in these gears. They do not provide any locks for the bikes so if you wanted to stop and walk around the park to view things you either one walk the bike with you if it's allowed or take turns with members in your party to guard the bikes. This was ridiculous. The chain on my bike came off a little more than half mile towards the end Of our ride. Attempted to put back on the chain but it would not stay on. Literally walked the bike back to the shop. No assistance what so ever from any staff coming to assist you. It's was horrible. Thankfully it was still early in the morning and it wasn't crazy crowded yet. Had to call my sisters to inform them I would be late due to chain coming off. One staff insulted my third older sister telling my fourth older sister that "your mom" wanted a refund. We're all sisters. The most ridiculous thing was that they did not handed my sister's ID back after we rented and/or after we returned the bikes and scooters. Sister did not realized it was not given back since it was already hectic with me walking back with a broken bike and another sister felt insulted by staff's rude comment. This place texted my sister 30 minutes before the shop was closing informing her she forgot her ID and they close at 7 pm and will be reopened at 8 AM the next day. SERIOUSLY!!!! They waited all day and decided to inform her 30 minutes before closing. Our returned time was 10:40 AM except me who got back around 11:20 AM due to broken chain. Thankfully when she got the text we were already half way in that direction so she was able to hope off and transferred to another train to go back and pick up her ID before the shop closed. HORRIBLE SERVICES!!! WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!!! You're better off renting the Citi Bikes around the park. read more

Awesome rental place. Can't wait to do again! Nice people. Very helpful and close to Central Park.

Rented 3 electronic and one regular kids bike. eBikes were what you would expect: ridden hard and full of problems. That didn't detract from a great day in Central Park with family. Are there better places to rent? Probably not. read more

Great experience. Bikes were in good condition and we had a great time biking Central Park

What a great experience. Reasonable prices & biking around Central Park in the spring with all the bushes and flowers blooming is glorious. The very personable and sincere young men that helped us made the experience a solid 5/5. The bikes were also in excellent condition and rode beautifully. I am fussy about bikes, so this is again a solid five. read more

I rented a scooter today and I asked for one hour. The attendant who assisted me recommended to do two hour so there's a little cushion and explained that if I didn't use two hours they would only charge me for an hour. Upon returning the scooter, which was under an hour they charged me for two hours anyway and lied about the whole transaction. They were confrontational and unprofessional around other customers and didn't care about helping. They cannot be trusted. I would not ever rent from them ever again and highly recommend you shouldn't either. They are a bunch of bullies. Don't let this happen to you. read more

Fabulous location and good quality E-Bikes. We biked all through central park, up to the Upper West Side. Enjoyed the beautiful 67 degree weather. We then proceeded to Harlem to enjoy Marcus Samuelsson's Red Rooster. Took the bikes back down Central Park and hing out around the 42nd through the 57th block. On a very busy day of traffic, these bikes were perfect to navigate through than walking or going on the subway. This bike is the way to go on a beautiful day after a 100 block day of walking the day before. Navigating the bike was simple. Jerome was very friendly and accommodating. Please book from Fancy Apple. Easy In/Out/Return!! read more

Bad experience. Pedal was broken and left me in the Bronx with one pedal and ruined my group bike ride. As you see in the picture the pedal was stripped and full of solder... apparently the pedal broke in the past and was badly fixed. The store owner denied all but gave me $20 refund out $85 read more
