She listens, advises, and works her magic with precision and creativity. Audrey's skills will leave you feeling like the best version of yourself. Five stars isn't enough--she deserves a constellation! If hair is an art form, Audrey is Picasso. If she ever quits doing hair, I'm shaving my head because no one else could compare. Aside from being the "monarch of manes", she's funny, chill, and somehow makes three hours in the chair feel like a fun hangout. It's an honor to be her client! Thank you, Audrey, you're a total vibe!

My sister (not Bitchy McBitchface, my other sister) bought me a massage and facial for my birthday…read moreon Groupon. Fort Wayne is a little far from the stick village I live in, but I was willing to make the drive because A) it is a holy task to get your money back from groupon (you will seriously talk to no less than 15 people when trying to get a groupon refund) and B) I'd only ever had one other professional massage and I ruined it for myself falling asleep 5 minutes in (plus I accidentally wore the spa socks home and my same sister made me feel like an asshole for a week.) and I've never had a facial... by a woman. So I made an appointment with someone named Maude. Fast forward a few days and I'm standing at their reception desk with the (I'm assuming) owner?? telling me that I'm not on the books for today. (Wtf?) Ok, be cool, be cool, (this lady is lucky in not on my period) they can't fit me in for a massage; what else can I spend the money on? I'll take anything, hair, nails; it doesn't matter, I've just driven over an hour for this. She looks through her computer for .02 seconds and informs me they don't have any openings at all for today. 'Sorry' didn't pay for my gas. She reached across and scribbled 20% off on a business card. So let me get this straight; she wants me to come back here two more times so they can fix the fuck up they made on my first visit?? Once for the massage and facial that's already paid for (which they can't take 20% off of), and again to pay for another service, which they'll take 20% off of?? So I get to pay for their mistake by driving over four hours and buying more of their services? (This lady is SO lucky I am not on my period!) I ended up seeing Massage Envy on my way home and thought to myself, well I'm here; they fit me in on the spot and after 5 minutes in classic image, I needed it.

Ms Cole was able to create a plan to make sure that I was taken care of on my wedding day and had it booked in her calendar with no deposit. Ms Cole was able to style my hair with extensions within 45 minutes (I came with my hair washed and dried)! I was very surprised, but happy as I was early for our wedding. I was happy with my hair and I received many compliments on it the day of and after. Ms. Cole's price was a little higher than I usually pay for professional styling, but within the price range for bridal styles in the area; in fact I think she was a bit low for total service (bridal style with ext) for the area as well. Her location is right across the street from Crazy Pins. She's a busy lady, so you want to book her quick! Ms. Cole was also willing to speak with my via cell, email, and text regarding any questions I had, which I really appreciated being very accessible. Ms. Cole was very professional, kind, and fast! Truly there has been nothing that I personally let her do that she could'nt handle. She has performed each of the previously mentioned services for me alone, but the best part is how healthy she has maintained my hair through each stage. I have been natural for a year now, but prior to transitioning Shawana helped encourage me every step of the way because she understood the journey I was embarking upon. She was extremely informative and patient throughout my process. Any questions I had about my hair she took time to explain, but most of all she made sure I was able to understand how to care for it myself in order to maintain its integrity in off weeks. Shawana is not just a stylist she is a teacher. I also have 3 daughters who are natural and the growth I have seen in their hair has been amazing. She somehow manages to address their individual needs and personality each time she sees them. This can be a challenge since they range in ages from 6 to 15, but everytime my children leave they look age appropriate and they are all happy. One of my favorite things about Shawana is that she is by appointment only! Gone are the days of sitting in a salon waiting for a stylist who has 3 or 4 other clients with my same appointment time. I am usually finished within 1 1/2 to 2 hours depending on the service I am having. Who could ask for anything more!!!! There is so much I could say about her, but if you don't do anything else at least take the time to do a consultation and determine for yourself the next step you would like to take. She is Fort Wayne's best kept secret, and it won't be long before those appointments become harder to come by as the word gets out. I guarantee it will be worth your time.
