The hair cut was very bad but somehow how the manager handled the situation was 10x worse!! I was told I would get a call from the manager the next day, I assumed to fix things, but the manager called and BLAMED ME for the haircut. Then she asked if I wanted it fixed and at the time I did not because she had treated me so poorly and I was so upset over it, but I messaged back and said I wanted it fixed because I can't walk around with this horrible cut. Instead they have ghosted me. So now I have a horrible hair cut and the WORST experience I've ever had at a salon. Tori (my stylist) was very nice so I am disappointed it went this way. Update: I got ahold of the manager and she yelled at me over the phone saying she can't satisfy me as a costumer. All I want is my hair fixed. It has random long strands and horrible layers. And if you can't fix that then you can't do anyone's hair! The manager/owner of this salon needs to work on how they speak to dissatisfied costumers. Another update: The manager has now responded to this review in an attempt to make themselves appear professional. I can tell you the way they handled this situation was so far from professional! I do not recommend taking your business here. If you are unsatisfied they will blame you and provide no real solution. I may have gotten a refund but the fact is my hair is still ruined and I guess I just have to let it grow out now?!

Ms Cole was able to create a plan to make sure that I was taken care of on my wedding day and had it booked in her calendar with no deposit. Ms Cole was able to style my hair with extensions within 45 minutes (I came with my hair washed and dried)! I was very surprised, but happy as I was early for our wedding. I was happy with my hair and I received many compliments on it the day of and after. Ms. Cole's price was a little higher than I usually pay for professional styling, but within the price range for bridal styles in the area; in fact I think she was a bit low for total service (bridal style with ext) for the area as well. Her location is right across the street from Crazy Pins. She's a busy lady, so you want to book her quick! Ms. Cole was also willing to speak with my via cell, email, and text regarding any questions I had, which I really appreciated being very accessible. Ms. Cole was very professional, kind, and fast! I have been natural for a year now, but prior to transitioning Shawana helped encourage me every step of the way because she understood the journey I was embarking upon. She was extremely informative and patient throughout my process. Any questions I had about my hair she took time to explain, but most of all she made sure I was able to understand how to care for it myself in order to maintain its integrity in off weeks. Shawana is not just a stylist she is a teacher. I also have 3 daughters who are natural and the growth I have seen in their hair has been amazing. She somehow manages to address their individual needs and personality each time she sees them. This can be a challenge since they range in ages from 6 to 15, but everytime my children leave they look age appropriate and they are all happy. One of my favorite things about Shawana is that she is by appointment only! Gone are the days of sitting in a salon waiting for a stylist who has 3 or 4 other clients with my same appointment time. I am usually finished within 1 1/2 to 2 hours depending on the service I am having. Who could ask for anything more!!!! There is so much I could say about her, but if you don't do anything else at least take the time to do a consultation and determine for yourself the next step you would like to take. She is Fort Wayne's best kept secret, and it won't be long before those appointments become harder to come by as the word gets out. I guarantee it will be worth your time.
