I had Mary as my hair care proffesional and she was extremely attentive to what I wanted but also used the upmost caution in maintaining the integrity of my hair. We not only discussed our initial visit, but a long term hair care plan to get me to the level of blonde I desire with the least damage and maximum growth possible. Not only Mary, but all of the other hair care professionals that I could overhear were very friendly, appropriate and mild mannered. The salon is small but at maximum functionality and great use of space. Everything is well organized and clean. I was a bit nervous when I was advised that someone else would be doing my hair at my next appointment and would follow the prior girl's instructions. Long story short, the right side of my hair has high/low lights, the left side and back of my hair has straight color and my hair looked like straw. Moreover, when I lifted my hair I noticed that I still had major black roots in the back. The whole experience from the wash to the final comb out was abysmal. I complained to the manager/owner who initially agreed to do my hair over for me. However, when I stated that I still had dark roots in the back, she got mad and said that "they clearly would never make me happy and she would remove me from their client's list." Very disappointing for an Adler salon.....the customer's satisfaction clearly isn't this manager/owner's priority and the final product was not worthy of what they charge!!!! When you're a retired widow you spend money wisely and do not appreciate poor customer service.

Just a…read morelittle over 4 weeks ago, I got the worst cut of my life, NOT from Modern Hair, but another establishment that shall remain anonymous. Now before you think me cheap, it was not a "quick hit and cut" it was a rather established location. I'd previously been there and was well pleased. My regular stylist had to remove me from her books for blatant cancellation violations, look, I work hard, sometimes long and I'm a mom first, my boys take up a lot of time. I cancelled 3 times over the course of 4 months-- but that is neither here nor there-- I'm here to talk about the wonderfulness that is ModernHair. I'm no stranger to Janet, the owner/operator. My aunts go to her on a routine basis for hair trims and eyebrow arching. I'm familiar with her work, so I felt comfortable making an appointment. I called Tuesday and requested an appointment today and she fit me right in. Her shop was clean and simple. Not a lot of bells and whistles, but I felt extremely comfortable. Janet is a pure professional. She cleaned her tools, dried them, and commenced to tell where were the last stylist had me messed up. She let me see, via front and back mirror where the left turn was taken on my last cut. I needed to have 1.5 inches removed to get my cut back in balance and even it all out. I wasn't upset, I had already looked in my mirror at home for the last 4 weeks, let's be honest, I knew 4 weeks ago. Janet was professional in her tone(very heavy accent- but she was succinct in her explanation of what needed to be done). She let me know as she was trimming what she was doing and what she thought the affects would be. She informed me my hair was healthy and an 8 week trim schedule moving forward would suffice. I'm pleased with today's results.

I reached out to Big League and connected with Erin, who was quick to get me scheduled for my next cut. I'm so glad I did. Erin truly transformed my look. She listened, delivered exactly what I asked for, and made the entire experience easy and enjoyable. It's rare to feel this taken care of during a haircut. What's even better?
