From the receptionists, to the technicians (especially Donna) it was extraordinary!!! Dr. Woodward is intelligent, caring, gentle and the most wonderful doctor I have ever been to. The whole team took great care of me as I was very upset about a previous diagnosis from my other eye doctor. They treated me like a queen. I will never forget how I felt there and when I got home, I just thanked G-d that I chose to go there. If you are in need of retinal care, please go to this office and see Dr. Woodward. I would give this team 10 stars if I could but they only ask for 5. I will be seeing Dr. Woodward for the next several months for more treatments and I honestly am looking forward to going back there. This team is the best by far and Dr. Woodward is outstanding!!!!!! Please, do not hesitate if you are in need. Marjory L.

I want to acknowledge how comforting it is to go to NY Retina Eye Care PLLC as a patient. From the…read morefirst appointment to the last appointment I was always greeted with a smile and professionalism that I received from Denise and Leah in the front office. As a patient, you know the first contact with office personnel is the most important because it sets the tone for how you'll feel from the beginning to the end of that appointment. From the first appointment in May, where I needed a full retina attachment to the last follow up in September, I felt totally at ease during the office visit. This always started with Denise and Leah and I can't thank them enough for the support they gave me and my family. In fact, believe it or not, I love that they collected the $15 up front for the visit. If I needed to change an appointment they always found a way to get me in that day. If you're considering a retina practice, you will feel comfortable starting with Denise and Leah. At this time I want to thank them both for helping me out and making me feel comfortable during this ordeal. The doctors are lucky to have these two employees making the first impression on the patient. Dr. Woodward- During these trying times for me, the comfort and knowledge that you've given me through this entire ordeal was something I will never forget. Just having the opportunity to speak with you when I had strange issues happening in my eye. I always felt comfortable that I could reach you as you were so nice to give me your cell phone number. You can't imagine how important that was for me to reach you during this extreme time of my stress. Every time we met, you assured me, in such a positive way, that I was on the right track to recovery. Today the culmination of your effort to get me to where I am was achieved. Remembering that at the beginning of the ordeal you couldn't tell me whether I would get my vision back to a reasonable number. You not only did that, but now, as of today, it is 20/30. WOW WHAT A SUCCESS!! Going forward I feel secure and comfortable knowing that you would be my physician to take care of my eyes in all facets of care. To say it plainly, I always leave your office with a smile on my face, and you make that happen! I know in conversation when any situation like this happens, people say "he/she is a number 10"; in my opinion, you're a number 30! You've always given me the time to answer any questions I may have after the examination and I can't tell you what it means to me in such a positive way. Thank you again for helping me regain vision in my eye. Just knowing you is a real pleasure and I look forward to having you continue as my eye physician in the future. In this office procedure you see the tech person prior to seeing the doctor and when you enter the doctors office there is a tech person sitting there to wait for the doctor to come in and go through the examination. My experience with Sarah and Lulit has been fabulous, who are Dr. Woodward's assistants. As you are all aware in medical practice today you sometimes have to wait a certain amount of time before the doctor comes in to examine you, so this gives you time to talk to his assistant. In this case Sarah and Lulit have been very professional, have answered any preliminary questions I had, and helped pass the time before the doctor comes in to examine you. They both are very professional, make you feel comfortable and if you have any questions they answer them to the best of their knowledge. If you come to this practice and happen to get Sarah or Lulit you'll have a very good experience. Once again, the entire personnel staff that I was in contact with has been one of the best experiences I've had with medical issues in my life. Dr. Woodward is lucky to have them as his assistants and if you interact with them as a patient you will be very happy in the contact. My first experience with Donna and David was my first appointment after surgery for retina detachment. I had been to many ophthalmology practices and have met tech assistants and having David and Donna do my initial exam before I see the doctor has been the best experience I've ever had in an ophthalmology practice. Not only are they professional in their work, but the comfort that they give the patient that has gone through this ordeal is unbelievable. On a scale of 10 I give them both a 20++. They give you the time to ask any questions you may have. They answer your questions about the tests they perform on you. Most importantly, they provide the comfort of knowing that your eye or eyes have improved with every visit. This is very reassuring before you see the doctor. I do feel that recommending this practice is a no brainer. You will get the best care from beginning to end. Going for follow up appointments I look forward to seeing Donna and David knowing the initial exam in the office before I see the doctor is a joy to go through. Thank you all, Sam and Adrienne G.

I've been seeing Dr. Butler for years and have been extremely happy with all the different glasses I've gotten over the years as my vision naturally declined. So I never had any doubts I was in the right place. But recently I had an eye emergency and was seen by a well-known and respected Ophthalmologist, and during the exam, he asked me who my Optometrist was, and when I told him it was Dr. Butler in Stony Point he immediately was impressed and couldn't say enough nice things about Dr. Butler and how well-respected Dr. Butler is for the great work he does.
