This is my 3rd visit and the exam was informative and relaxed as usual. Dr. Blustein is superb at picking out frames, too. His assistant is lovely and helpful. You know when you go to a terrific health care provider and you suggest him to someone who's complaining about theirs and then they don't go or end up going back to the one they're complaining about and you get all pissy? I'm new to Mahwah and needed to find a place for my 10yr old son and I to get our eyes checked. This was my sons first time and the doctor was perfect with him and made him feel very relaxed. He was very knowledgeable and explained everything in detail. No rush and very friendly. Plus they have lots of glasses to see and try on and the store is nice and big. We went during this pandemic and we were the only ones in. We were given hand sanitizer and the receptionist and the dr were both wearing masks. Got my glasses here. Not the cheapest but the quality is quite nice and had a few adjustments for comfort since on the fly and they were quite nice about it. Place is clean and nice. Selection is nice and even my picky hubs found a nice pair quickly. Your cost will vary on your insurance and ours is meh, so we paid quite a bit still but happy with the quality and service and that the lens came put correctly unlike some bad experiences at the chain stores. read more

I picked I Care Eyeware from a directory so I had no idea if it would be a good or bad experience but it was fantastic. Dr. Blustein is wonderful! Not only was he sweet and nice but very knowledgeable too. He didn't try to sell me on anything either and worked within the guidelines of my insurance without my even having to ask! He told me that if I was looking to spread my money out and not lay much out that I could come back for my contact lense exam when I ran out of contacts. What doctor does that?! He was just so nice. I have never had such a great experience at an optometrist and I have been to my fair share. Dr. Blustein was so friendly and so warm. Then, when I went to pick out my glasses, not only did Dr. Blustein help me find a pair but his other staff members were super helpful. I was having trouble deciding which pair of frames to choose and when I narrowed it down, and asked for an opinion, the gentleman (I didn't get his name!) gave me his opinion and then explained why. He started talking about the bridge of the glasses and how it fit my nose... things I never even thought about or knew to look for. Now I know why my glasses always slipped down my face. I can't say enough about this place. Such a wonderful experience. I wish Dr. Blustein could be my primary doctor too! read more
