I use to think that every doctor was good and truly worked to understand the patient and their needs. However, I was truly mistaken. I have been a patient here for a little over an year. I have had about 5 visits to Dr. Milady and neither of these have been great. I'm not the type of person that likes to go to the doctor for really anything. It literally took a lot out of me to express some of the health concerns that I was dealing with on my first visit. I had to learn that when it comes to my health it's better to be proactive VS reactive. So, I got up and went to the doctor. Each time I explained my symptoms to Dr. Milady, she made it seem like what I was experiencing was normal and that there was no reason for me to be in her office. I am very aware of what is "normal" for my body and if it was a "normal" symptom then I wouldn't be driving 50 minutes to your office. For about the past 3 weeks I have been dealing with cold and upper respiratory problems. I have very strong allergies so I am use to having a stuffy and runny nose, sneezing, sinus pressure, and sore throats. However, the symptoms I have been experiencing are much different. I have been having a cough with phlegm along with congestion. For the past 7 years, I can't think of one time I have had a cold with a cough attached to it. I nearly never have a coughing issue. When I started to have these symptoms I immediately started taking otc medicine; which is what I usually do. I took 2 full bottles of Muscnix and 1 full bottle of Tylenol. The symptoms would not give. So, since my usual cold rituals wasn't working I concluded that it was time to see a doctor. read more

The Google reviews are good but I think the Yelp reviews tell a different story for a reason. I was searching for a new PCP in this area and haven't found one like the one I went to near my old residence. I may have to drive that far. Still I have been to several doctors before and have always received a call in the next business day about my test results- whether from the doctor or their nurse. Especially when it was as simple as what I took a test for. An entire weekend and nearly 2 business days had passed and still no call so towards the end of the second day I decided to give them a call. The option doesn't allow you to speak to the nurse (Ms. Milady) or the doctor - but their assistant. Which is fine. I give the assistant my name and date of birth and she has me on hold for about 10 minutes and then says I need to come back in to discuss my results. Excuse me? I say, you mean I need to make another appointment just to receive my test result. Yes she says, we don't want to give it over the phone. Then I tell her that this is my first time with this office but it's not my first time going to the doctor. I tell her exactly what the test was and my name and date of birth again just to make sure she knows I'm the exact patient she's talking about and what exact simple test we're discussing here. She confirms and says yes but Milady likes to have her patients come back within a week or so for a follow up appointment. I tell her to please relay to Milady that this is extremely disappointing and that I won't be back... I assumed that's who she was talking to when she seemed to be talking to someone while on the phone with me. Milady calls me maybe 20 min later and says everything is negative and no need to come in. But... they had me worried for a second and trying to figure out my entire schedule again to make another appointment. Also, Milady- the nurse practitioner- was nice. But I did have an appointment with the Doctor. I waited in the room for maybe 40 or so min before she came in and said "my husband won't be seeing you today, I will because he got busy and I had some cancellations." This is all fine, I don't even mind waiting for a GOOD Doctor and Great Care... now I'm looking back at that experience too with the wait time to see the doc and me not getting the actual person I had the appointment with with a bit more scrutiny. Perhaps I could have even been asked- Hi! Is there a reason you wanted to see Dr. A, or do you mind waiting a bit longer to see him? He's backed up but I'm the Head Nurse and available to see you now if this works for you? Your call (as it was my appointment that I adjusted my schedule for, for my husband to watch my little one for and spent time researching and going through reviews and more to find a new doc). I understand that they're a family practice and it's the reason I came but this is my body- which I treat very seriously. It's also my time and money and I'm looking for a place for my whole family that I know will give us the utmost treatment and care and respect- especially as we grow older. read more

Me and my daughter just came from this practice with my grandson who is 1 month old, the doctor we seen is named Doc Oragwu. My grandson has been fussy since coming from hospital time, not pooping regularly, spitting up after every feeding, gassy all day, crying alot, stomach is turning while drinking the regular baby formula during every feeding, constantly hungry because he keeps spitting up the milk. The doc first told us when we took him, that we need to just beep him after every ounce, which we did, but 1 ounce is really not enough in his stomach to really burp him. So we just left from taking him again, I explained to him that we need to switch his milk to sensitive formula for lactose sensitivity, i tried sensitive this morning for the first time since the doc is nieve to the situation, and when getting to the doc I explained to him the sensitive milk is working just fine. So he explains because he has the symptoms that does not mean he is lactose sensitive. He said how about we just continue to breast feed him even though my daughter starts school soon, she can just store the milk in the fridge and keep pumping, that s what the doc said. Wow.. I explained she'strying to whine him off for when she starts back school, so we are just going round and round with the doc, he is not listening at all, just giving his opinion and why the milk does not need to be changed. Like he doesn't care that my baby is suffering right now. He suggested that we go buy some soy milk and see if that works, and if it does bring a form from WIC to change the formula. But I spoke to WIC and they said a form is not needed, we just need to see the WIC nutritionist...so the doc lied. The is the worst doc experience we have ever had. This is the last time any of my family setting feet in that doc office, never again!!! read more

I have been going too Mrs. Milady since by baby was an infant and now, she is almost 5. I, myself have been going to her for about 3 years and if I must say she has been one of the BEST doctors so far. She is genuine and is there to help you verses making you feel like she's all about taking your money. When you walk into the doctor's office its always clean. I absolutely love it here! read more

I really love this place. A couple years ago my little boy fell in school and needed stitches and the doctors office I was taking him to told me to go to the ER. I called Family Practice Doctors and they said they accepted my insurance and they could do stitches in their office thank God because no one wants to wait at an ER. The staff is friendly and outgoing. Dr. Oragwu did an awesome job on my son's stitches and he healed great. Milady the Nurse Practitioner is very caring and is awesome with my teenage Girls they feel very comfortable talking to her and doing their womanly check up's. My sister had a swollen node under her arm and it hurt so bad we needed her to be seen immediately, but since she just moved here and her employer insurance doesn't start for another month, we needed a reasonable cash price, so Urgent Care was out. I was grateful that they were able to see her right away, they do walk-ins and appointments, and we came at a time when things were slow. When I called them to get an idea of how much the visit would cost us -cash price- it was higher than my normal doctor, Dr. Berdayes: $60. This office charged $80. But they could see her right away. And the NP, or APRN was very helpful and spoke to us both on the phone and in the office. If it was rated just on our experience with her and the front desk staff, the stars would be bountiful. But we are rating the doctor she was treated by, who spent more time telling my sister she was too fat and stating all the related health problems that could accompany being over weight, than he did worrying about the lymph node under her arm that brought her to his office.He even went so far as to tell her the node was swollen because she was over weight. To this she replied that she hadn't always been the weight she is currently, and even when she was younger and very thin she was getting swollen nodes. They come and go, although this is the worse they had ever been. He tried telling her the lump under her arm was fatty tissue. But it was very swollen tissue,visibly a different size than the opposite side. He actually made the statement that 'This is America and everything is bigger, and everyone much bigger here.' My sister says she wanted to ask him who he was seeing about his little weight problem, but she kept her manners in check, unlike him. He ended each statement he made with 'Do you understand?' And there was very little doubt to my sister that he was being condescending.This was a appointment made out of desperation for a painful swollen lymph node, not a weight management consultation. In this review I would like to say again...if it was being based off of the front end staff and the helpful nurse practitioner that answered questions on the phone, it would be a five star review. But this review is based solely on the doctor himself and his lack of manners or consideration. UPDATE: My sister is in horrendous pain still. She called and requested to speak to the RN, since the RN actually listened to her, and the RN did listen and then went over the Dr.s notes. According to his notes she should have been taking ibuprofen around the clock to reduce the swelling. DAMN! If only he would have gotten off the subject of how fat everyone in America is and mentioned THAT! Thank god for his competent staff- how does he keep patients?! read more

The office is very rude and unprofessional. A referral was needed and the office was called. The referral coordinator is very rude and unprofessional and unwilling to help. The office manager is even willing to defend her unprofessional staff making the whole situation unpleasant. I would definitely recommend not seeing their office if you are going to require a referral or if you want any kind of professionalism from your physician's office. read more
