Delicious and fresh and the people working there are the sweetest. The place is memorable and feels cozy even to sit there and eat. One of my favorite takeaway Chinese spots in the area for sure. Food is always fresh and plentiful. Service is very friendly and delivery is super fast. They give you a ton of food in the combination platters and it isn't all just rice like most places. You actually get a good amount of proteins as well. Good quality food. Pretty good for a typical Chinese spot. They serve you if you dine-in. With real plates and utensils. The food is well done. Their facilities are nice and clean. You can tell they've spent some money renovating. I'm a big Chinese chicken wing fan and I wasn't impressed. Despite ordering from this restaurant in the past and enjoying the food, the order I received today left me with a very distasteful feeling. As I begin to unpack my order to feed myself and my nephew, I see something crawling out of the bag. I immediately picked the bag up to observe what it was, and it saw that it was a roach. I have never seen a roach in my complex or my apartment so I am sure it didn't come from here. I then repacked the food in a bag I had and left for the delivery man to return and pick up. I called to make a delivery and I ask the girl on the phone if the delivery guy could come upstairs to drop of my food. She said No! Mind you I'm paying for my food and I'm going to tip the guy for his service. I live up a hill and he previously done deliveries for me in the past. Tasty, fresh, well done simply chinese food without the pool of grease you find in other chinese restaurants. The vegetables were fresh, the meat was tender, juicy and wel cooked, didn't taste like rubber band. This plate combination is one of my favorites as it gives your taste buds a great balance. The bonesless spare rib tips are not overly sweet, plus it combines well with the special rice saltiness when you add the soy sauce. The place is really clean and though the presentation is basic for takeout, they did a great job at keeping it clean and presentable. Delivery was fast for a pouring rain night and the price was a tad bit higher than what im used to pay for this meal in other parts of town, none the less i enjoyed it real well and it was worth the price. Overall, the food was mediocre. The food was burnt, didn't have any fortune cookies and it took forever to deliver. The delivery man could not read the numbers to the correct building. Also chicken wings tasted like they came from a middle school cafeteria aka "Chinese Bonk" the rice had a sand like texture super dry they baked my chicken I told them fried chicken smh the egg roll tasted like cigarettes every can soda was 3 Years expired there was a piece of semi fried plastic bag in my food horrible experience and they took 2hours to arrive smh read more

Best Chinese spot in Yonkers. Never really had any complaints. The people that work here are very nice, they always remember me and my specific order. Great food, at a great price. I am really dissatisfied with there service. I originally called for an order and the lady on the phone did not take my correctly. She forgot a an additional plate and I asked them to send the food together. I already waited and hour for my order and she said just to get rest of my order is going to take another hour an half. So all together that would take 2 and half hours. I decided to cancel my order because of there lack of attention and poor service to deliver all of my food at once. I then tried to order again from them and the lady told me she will not send me any more deliveries and hung up the phone on me. And they will not go upstairs. They are rude and nasty and do not deserve business. I do not recommend anyone to order from this place because if the can do it to me who has been ordering with them for over 2 years..they can do it to anyone. The only one small thing is that they should add a little more salt in the fried rice, but I can alway add my own salt myself, every ones taste is different; other than that, I enjoy eating at Family Kitchen Resturant. Place is subpar with the food, always skimp with the amounts and delivery for this place is absolutely horrid and the lady on the phone always quotes 30 minutes but it's more like an hour to hour and fifteen minutes. The staff here is really rude, and unprofessional. Despite ordering from here in the past, despite small portions, I will never order from here again. After placing a large order where they did not give me any of the egg rolls I ordered I called to tell them that their delivery driver forgot some of my family's food. The lady who answers the phone insulted me, and told me that I didn't order any egg rolls, even though I had the receipt. Telling her she charged me for 3 shrimp rolls, and not giving me any of the egg rolls that came with my 3 combination platters, and forgetting ne of the shrimp rolls ended with her cursing at me, and hanging up.
