Family Kitchen - Sesame chicken and beef ribs with pork fried rice - Chinese Near Me - Yonkers, New York

This spot in our area is always our go-to place for Chinese take out. More than a decade and this was our staple at least once a year. Delicious and fresh and the people working there are the sweetest. The place is memorable and feels cozy even to sit there and eat. We always order big and they get our order right every time. 10/10 service, 10/10 environment, and 10/10 food. 100% recommended read more

Always fresh and delicious, this particular spot has been a staple for go-to Chinese take out for as long as I've been here in Yonkers. Highly recommend read more

One of my favorite takeaway Chinese spots in the area for sure. Food is always fresh and plentiful. Service is very friendly and delivery is super fast. They give you a ton of food in the combination platters and it isn't all just rice like most places. You actually get a good amount of proteins as well. Good quality food. Definitely a gem of a Chinese spot around this area since there really aren't that many great spots. read more

I'm always thrilled coming here. Great food great service! I'm here at least once a week if not more

The order came to $30 though I took out many meat ingredients because I'm vegan and I added cashews for $1. The lady found that $1 could not be comp as a substitute for the meat items or the free soda they were giving me. Won't be back and horrible customer service. The place needs to be cleaned read more

Great Chinese restaurant for the area. The service was pretty quick. I got the beef fried rice with half fried chicken and beef lo mein. Both the dishes were good. Will for sure come back. read more

The food is alright and the portions are okay. service is pretty inconsistent. Seems like they have two drivers, one is great the other is quite the opposite. It's a flip of a coin that doesn't feel worth it for the average at best food read more

Pretty good for a typical Chinese spot. They serve you if you dine-in. With real plates and utensils. The food is well done. Their facilities are nice and clean. You can tell they've spent some money renovating. I'm a big Chinese chicken wing fan and I wasn't impressed. They took a little long for food to arrive, or maybe I was just too hungry! heheh read more

I can't speak for the people who ordered delivery, but I work in the area and I usually order my lunch specials from this place. I think the food is good and I've never been treated with disrespect or any nastiness. I usually pick up my food and bring it back to my office. read more

My favorite Chinese spot.... by far the best in Yonkers. Fast delivery. Negative is the egg rolls they're always soggy inside but hey if that's the worst thing I really can't complain! read more

Despite ordering from this restaurant in the past and enjoying the food, the order I received today left me with a very distasteful feeling. As I begin to unpack my order to feed myself and my nephew, I see something crawling out of the bag. I immediately picked the bag up to observe what it was, and it saw that it was a roach. I have never seen a roach in my complex or my apartment so I am sure it didn't come from here. I then repacked the food in a bag I had and left for the delivery man to return and pick up. I called to get a refund and although they came back and returned the bill that I gave them, the money was given back in change. Unfortunately,I can't find myself ordering here ever again. read more

Tasty, fresh, well done simply chinese food without the pool of grease you find in other chinese restaurants. The vegetables were fresh, the meat was tender, juicy and wel cooked, didn't taste like rubber band. This plate combination is one of my favorites as it gives your taste buds a great balance. The bonesless spare rib tips are not overly sweet, plus it combines well with the special rice saltiness when you add the soy sauce. The place is really clean and though the presentation is basic for takeout, they did a great job at keeping it clean and presentable. Delivery was fast for a pouring rain night and the price was a tad bit higher than what im used to pay for this meal in other parts of town, none the less i enjoyed it real well and it was worth the price. Will definitely order from here again. read more

I called to make a delivery and I ask the girl on the phone if the delivery guy could come upstairs to drop of my food. She said No! Mind you I'm paying for my food and I'm going to tip the guy for his service. I live up a hill and he previously done deliveries for me in the past. But since I ask the lady if they guy could come upstairs because I had a sprained ankle she said " WE DON'T DELIVER THERE" I will never order from there again. read more

So we placed the order for 6 people and only received 5. So my moms had nothing to eat. Thank yall

Def my favorite spot to call. Always open and the food is very good. Only Chinese spot I call. They know who you are when you call and don't have to repeat yourself. When everything else closes before 10pm, you can always depend that they're still open. read more

Overall, the food was mediocre. The food was burnt, didn't have any fortune cookies and it took forever to deliver. The delivery man could not read the numbers to the correct building. Also chicken wings tasted like they came from a middle school cafeteria aka "Chinese Bonk" the rice had a sand like texture super dry they baked my chicken I told them fried chicken smh the egg roll tasted like cigarettes every can soda was 3 Years expired there was a piece of semi fried plastic bag in my food horrible experience and they took 2hours to arrive smh read more

Best Chinese spot in Yonkers. Never really had any complaints. The people that work here are very nice, they always remember me and my specific order. Great food, at a great price. I always get boneless spare ribs with PFR and my girlfriend gets chicken with broccoli. We are both always happy with the results. Honey chicken wings are bomb here too. *thumbs up* read more

The Nastiest place to eat from,The owner, which is the the one who took my order, messed my order up,then would only replace it if I returned it,after I telling her I had arrived home,an couldn't leave due to that I have a handicap child, this was my dinner,I had to spend more money(somewhere else) just to eat cause that was my dinner,I called the BBB,this was the worst experience ever by a business, she alsi kept saying that sje didnt care, cause she didn't hear me say No Vegetable....DONT EAT THERE TERRIBLE PEOPLE read more

Standard menu offerings that are very good quality for the price. Perfectly seasoned. Prompt delivery. The egg drop soup is great.

Good food fresh and prepared in a timely manner with polite staff with great prices I would recomend it for take out or to stay in

Had to find a new place bc China Inn has changed sadly. This place is quick and the food is tasty. Not quite as good as China Inn used to be but its good. read more

I am really dissatisfied with there service. I originally called for an order and the lady on the phone did not take my correctly. She forgot a an additional plate and I asked them to send the food together. I already waited and hour for my order and she said just to get rest of my order is going to take another hour an half. So all together that would take 2 and half hours. I decided to cancel my order because of there lack of attention and poor service to deliver all of my food at once. I then tried to order again from them and the lady told me she will not send me any more deliveries and hung up the phone on me. And they will not go upstairs. They are rude and nasty and do not deserve business. I do not recommend anyone to order from this place because if the can do it to me who has been ordering with them for over 2 years..they can do it to anyone. Unprofessional and disgusting service. read more

Family Kitchen Resturant I like their food it tast good. The only one small thing is that they should add a little more salt in the fried rice, but I can alway add my own salt myself, every ones taste is different; other than that, I enjoy eating at Family Kitchen Resturant. The food is great, the place is very clean, and the people their are frendly, they always greet you with a smile. Sometime I order on the phone for delivery, and they know who I am, my address & number right away. They deliver quick with hot, fresh food. I can say that this is the best asian resturant in yonkers! read more

I ordered at 10:04 pm. The lady took my card info and I'm still waiting for my food. Of course, no one is answering because they CLOSED AFTER TAKING MY ORDER! I called to check on the status and she said he's on his way. Doesn't seem so. She simply could've said they went taking any more orders. I'm not ordering from them anymore. One less customer... read more

This company gets no stars from me! But to rate it I had to choose one lol ... Terrible experience here these people are unprofessional and do not accommodate their customers. I ordered food. They brought me what I said I did not order they argued with me and told me I had to come back bring the food and pay extra money! If not, there would be a 3 hour wait unbelievable! I had no vehicle to use at that moment so I had to bother my neighbor for a ride take out my 5 month old baby and 4 year old in the cold to return the food.. They gave me my money back and after that she told me since I got 2 can soda with my order, I had to actually give her back $2!! Really??! I said I'm not giving u sh&% all this inconvenience you crazy!?? As I'm walking out the Spanish delivery driver dare asks me... "You want the tip back too!?" Ugh! I hate unprofessionalism. I do not recommend this restaurant. read more

Place is subpar with the food, always skimp with the amounts and delivery for this place is absolutely horrid and the lady on the phone always quotes 30 minutes but it's more like an hour to hour and fifteen minutes. They never are sorry and just act like it doesn't matter, well they have def lost a customer for good. read more

Best Chinese food place I've eaten from in a while. Chicken and broccoli is amazing! Love the extra free items for spending a certain amount of money. Usually a quick delivery. read more

The staff here is really rude, and unprofessional. Despite ordering from here in the past, despite small portions, I will never order from here again. After placing a large order where they did not give me any of the egg rolls I ordered I called to tell them that their delivery driver forgot some of my family's food. The lady who answers the phone insulted me, and told me that I didn't order any egg rolls, even though I had the receipt. Telling her she charged me for 3 shrimp rolls, and not giving me any of the egg rolls that came with my 3 combination platters, and forgetting ne of the shrimp rolls ended with her cursing at me, and hanging up. This place will never see a dime from me, my family, or my friends again. read more
