However, it contains a water soluble glue which makes this impossible as the stone falls off the mesh backing when it gets wet. I was NOT made aware of this when I purchased it and Prosource denied knowing the issue even existed until 2 months in on a phone call with Ed the showroom manager, who was dumb enough to admit they knew it was an issue. I spent countless hours calling and emailing both the manufacturer, Topcu, and ProSource attempting to learn a way to be able to install the product as my wife and I both really like it. I even purchased 3 additional new diamond blades in a vain attempt to cut it, because "this has never happened before". Then what I was told, and I still cannot believe they were stupid enough to suggest this, was to remove each individual stone from the backing, cut it wet, then glue it back on. After a ridiculous amount of back and forth the final answer the manufacturer said to do would cost more than the product itself did, take countless hours of work, be nearly impossible to do correctly and completely make the product un returnable. For an alleged high end product that cost over $300 per box. ProSource refused to take back the product except under unreasonable circumstances, only taking back non cut and non broken sheets, a 25% restocking fee AND my paying the freight back to the manufacturer in Georgia. The manufacturers rep admitted to me on multiple occasions that the situation was ridiculous but still I could not get an acceptable resolution from them either. I guess they expected me to lay down and take the abuse. Not this guy. I fought and I won...just like I told them I would. Now I get to warn you. Who is dumb enough to use a water soluble glue on a product that must be cut wet? Topcu. Who is both dumb enough to sell that product to consumers without telling them? Dave at ProSource Monroeville. Who is dumb enough to insist this has never happened before? Todd at ProSource Monroeville and Brian at Topcu. Who is dumb enough to admit this does happen and I was lied to repeatedly for over 2 months? Ed at Prosource Monroeville. Who was smart enough to give me my money back? PNC. You would be better off buying your supplies at a flea market. But if you want to buy this crap they sold me check the usual spots where people sell stuff, I will be listing it for sale there until someone buys it, which I expect will be a very long time.

I liked the fact that they sent a sales representative to my home instead of me having to drive over there. Shannon Davin came to visit me and brought an array of samples. She let me keep one of the sample boards for a few days until I was certain of the color and texture I needed. It is very hard to tell the difference in color between the small swatches and the large one on the cover board. Some of them are very close in color that it is hard to differentiate. Nevertheless my husband and I finally chose a good neutral color that would blend with my existing carpeting. After a few hiccups along the way prior to the install, Frank and Dominic came to my home early on the date scheduled to start the install. I was impressed with the fact that each of them were able to tackle different rooms to get the job completed quickly and efficiently. They use what is called a "power stretcher" to help insure the new carpeting does not "bunch up". I was told if that should happen within a certain time frame then they would come out and restretch the carpet for free. They honored my request to not allow threads to fall within my air ducts which I had recently had cleaned and they did vacuum them as well as the whole house to insure everything was picked up. I observed how they used a special glue underneath and tool to make each part of the new carpet install appear seamless. What did concern me was the fact that one of them was "pattern" cutting a few pieces of my new carpet using the shape of the pulled up carpet out on the street. They were do this to make the carpet a bit larger so they could adequately cut away the excess. After the install was complete I was thoroughly pleased with the hard work they did however after they left I noticed that one of my basement doors could not shut properly due to excess carpet. Having called the company, they were quick to send out another installer who went out of his way to make sure that problem was remedied and even took the time to make sure the door to my garage was also not blocked. I am completely pleased with my carpeting, however, after I went outside I saw carpet threads all over my property and all over the street where they had done the pattern cutting. A neighbor even called me to complain about this mishap because she was afraid to take her dog out for fear of her swallowing the small pieces. I really wish they would have done this pattern cutting in my garage instead. I would have gladly given them permission. Now I'm forced to have to use a street brush to try to get some of those pieces out of the way. I also noticed in addition that some of those threads ended up in other people's yards as well. My contract states "clean after install." To me that means they should clean up wherever they worked whether inside or out. Final rating 3.5 stars.
