I wrote a review yesterday and for some reason, it was taken down. I will not be turned away so easily. I have a basement floor bought from Molyneux that is less than 3 years old. I have about a 5-foot square area underneath my rocker-recliner that is now starting to come apart. When this floor was sold to me, there were no shortage of superlatives about how strong and durable it was ("these floors are used in factories" etc). I was also promised that if there were any issues it could be repaired easily ("like a jigsaw puzzle"). When I called for this repair (as part of getting a quote for a bathroom floor), I was at first told that they could not do the repair at all b/c this less-than-3-year-old floor had been "discontinued." OK. Who sells someone a floor for an entire basement that can't be serviced after less than 3 years? Still, I immediately granted them a huge concession. This is my man-cave, and it doesn't need to be perfect (just not coming apart!!), so I told them we could use another color. I was then told by the salesperson Tara that it was only a "50/50" chance it could be repaired. Once again, alarm bells go off, but I hope for the best. So, a guy comes to the house. I remind him of how durable the salesperson said this floor was. I pointed to the box of extras I have, which exclaims how strong, waterproof, and worry-free this floor was supposed to be. I reminded him of the promises made to me about how easy it would be to fix. "They will sell you anything if you will buy it," he replied. Yes, that's what this man said about his own company and his own products. Once again, I am quite alarmed, but I am thinking, surely this company will fix this minor problem before it becomes major. I was wrong. What I got a few days later was an insult of an estimate. It said the repair required 100 new square feet (see the photo of an area that is no more than 10 or so sq feet), with full cost for labor and materials (sales said repairs would only cost labor). $1100 for a few square feet of repair. In other words: we don't do repairs unless they are big enough to be "worth it," and if we think they are not, we will just give you an estimate for work much larger than required, and buzz off if you don't like it. I have used Molyneux for the entire 1st floor of my old house in Aspinwall (living room, dining room, kitchen), 2 large bedrooms in current home, and this entire giant basement area. What does this loyalty, and that amount of money spent (easily over 60,000 dollars!!) get me? For asking for one (1!) repair? An "estimate" for 100 sq feet for about 5 square feet of work, take it or leave it. I don't know what universe this could possibly be considered fair in. I don't know why my review has been taken down. The estimate for my bathroom has the Golden Mile Highway store address, so I am posting this review here. If it disappears, I promise I will drive to this store to complain in person and to the offices of Yelp to complain there (they should at least pay me the courtesy of telling me why my review has been removed!!). Never, ever use Molynuex. They are fine with installs, but they have made it very clear to me that repairs are not worth their time (even when bundled in with a new install!!!). That is a terrible way to treat someone who has lavished them with business over the years. I implore people not to use them. read more

I have not yet had the flooring installed, and based on the experience I had today with our design consultant who sold me the flooring originally I am very unhappy. Shorty after I ordered the flooring I had to go out of the country on business for two and a half months. I returned to the US a few days ago. I drove out to Robinson today to review my contract and the dates of my delivery. I asked my 'design consultant' if I could reconsider the type of wood flooring I had ordered. (Molyneaux had cashed my check for the $4,100 deposit at the end of May. ) My 'designer' said 'no' I could not change the choice of flooring unless I was prepared to pay 40% more ($3,280) of the sales price which was $8,200. When she sold me flooring she never brought this up nor did she go over any of the fine print in the contract (literally, very small type) which said that I only had three days to make changes to the agreement or to cancel the agreement. I was also not permitted to keep the samples over night at the time of sale to give me a bit more time to live with my choice before making a final commitment. When I came in today to the Molyneaux showroom in Robinson Township to go over the details of the installation (set for September) and to ask about the possibility of switching to a second choice she spoke to me curtly and handed me a copy of the contract. Nowhere on the contract does it say that there is a 40% charges or alterations. It only says "any changes must be made by a written change order signed by buyer and Molymeaux. You, the buyer may cancel this tranaction at any time prior to midnight off the third business day after the date of this transaction." I was not asking to cancel my contract -only to make sure I liked the floor I had chosen three months ago- and perhaps choose a different more expensive floor. Perhaps I would have kept the floor I had chosen. I just wanted an opportunity to look again." The representative said "No. Not without additional charges." So I said "I am going to have to pay 1,000's of dollars more to get the fllor I like." She said, "yes". I was left with the clear impression that this salesperson had little care or investment in me or my satisfaction with the transaction and the product. She had made her 'deal' and that was that. Nothing could be done. First off this is a violation of the contract. I was not asking to cancel only to possibly make a change in my selection. Secondly, it seems to me that when a customer is investing more then $8,000 in a product, that they are entitled to be happy with the end result. I left the store depressed, disheartened and definitely dissatisfied. I am certainly not excited nor look forward to my expensive new floors. I feel trapped. Barbara M.W. read more

We could not be more pleased with our experience with Molyneaux Kitchen Refresh program. Not only do you get the expertise and products from Molyneaux, the best flooring and tile company in the area but you get the counter tops from Vangura, the largest kitchen countertop company in the area. We had purchased flooring with Steve Porter from the Robinson Town Center store. During our consultation with him he said they were starting the new kitchen refresh program and we were so happy he mentioned it. We got personalized service and advice and we were able to see samples in your home so we could match them to the colors of our new floor and the cabinets. When it came time to pick the counter top we met the wonderful people of Vangrura at their showroom. We decided to go with a granite countertop and we were shown full 8' x 8' full slabs in their warehouse. We worked with their interior design consultant Nancy Drew and she provide many ideas that made our kitchen even nicer. We selected the piece of granite and before installation Vangura provide a color virtual layout using a photo of our actual selection. The selection of tile at Molyneaux for the new backsplash was incredible and we worked with Steve to select just the right size style and even the grout color during an in home appointment. The installation process was also performed with some of the best professionals. They were efficient and skilled with every part of the installation paying attention to every detail. Working with seasoned professional from both companies made our experience unforgettable. When we need new flooring in the future we will only need to make one call to Molyneaux. If you are thinking of a small or major change to your kitchen or interior you need to check with consultants at Molyneaux for the MVP experience. read more

After having some major hiccups with another carpet company my wife and I decided to cancel to look into Molyneaux for our carpeting needs. We went to the store in Robinson, met Lisa Clouse, and started looking at samples and discussing our needs. We set up an appointment for Lisa to come to our house a few days later to measure and look at samples. She arrived as scheduled and measured our house and talked us through picking the right carpet and color for our home and situation (we have a dog that sheds a lot!). Lisa was in our home for almost 3 hours trying to help us decide on a color and carpet type. She never made us feel rushed and never ever tried to up sell us or use any high pressure sales tactics to get us to buy. She was friendly and offered professional view points and opinions when needed. I feel we were lucky to have Lisa as our design consultant. We agreed to a carpet and color and from there scheduled an appointment for installation. The appointment was for two days due to the size of the job, which was this past Thursday. That morning, I was called at 7:45am letting me know the installers were about 30 minutes away. Two men, Rob and Shawn arrived at 8:15am, quickly confirmed the measurements Lisa took and began working. They were extremely personable and I had no negative feeling about the installers what so ever. They even took the time to explain certain things about installing carpet that I had asked. Overall they were wonderful. They finished installing 1,500 square feet of carpet by 4:30pm that afternoon and saved me from taking a second day off work which I was very thankful for. The carpet looks great! The overall experience with Molyneaux could not have gone any better in my opinion. We will definitely use them again in the future for any other flooring projects we need! read more

We were in Robinson running errands when we decided to stop in at Molyneaux's showroom in North Fayette. I am so glad we did. We met with Amy Walsh, a sales and design consultant at Molyneaux. She was so nice. Speaking with us about what we were looking for and what we wanted. We looked at many different carpets and vinyl flooring, narrowing down things that we liked. We made arraignments for Amy to come to our house to show the samples in our home and take preliminary measurements. She arrived in the evening with the carpet samples and vinyl flooring samples we saw at the store along with several other styles and colors to look at. It was a very pleasant, very relaxed meeting. No pressure tactics. We decided to go ahead with the work. The installers arrived when they were scheduled. They went right to work. Very professional. The guys were very friendly. They did exactly what they said they were going to do. They cleaned up when they were done and everything is so beautiful. We love walking on our super soft carpeting and the flooring in the kitchen looks great. One of the reasons we chose to do business with Molyneaux was they are a local, family owed business with their own installation crews. No subcontractors who have no one to answer to if something goes wrong. The biggest reason was of course Amy. It's easy to work with someone you like. We are in the process of replacing carpet/entranceway in our living room and installing carpet in our family room and stairs. We compared pricing from various flooring companies. The pricing was comparable but the excellent customer service, installation (received in previous jobs), and guarantee made Molyneaux stand out. We received excellence assistance from our in-home salesperson, Bob Thomas (from the South Hills Washington Road office). Originally I was interested in hardwood floors for our living room but was unsure if it was because I liked the hardwood or because it's pretty much the thing to do. During our in-home appointment, Bob made various suggestions for us to consider and we ultimately chose carpet with a luxury vinyl entrance for the living room. I'm certain this alternate was less expensive than the hardwood we were considering & appreciate Bob's input and his not pushing us toward the more expensive product. He was helpful with the selection of carpet that would work well in our family room. I had a hard time deciding on colors so he stopped back a second time after I had time to consider. Molyneaux's installation team does an excellent job. They are very professional. They moved all of our furniture with care and their installation was perfect. This is our third project with Molyneaux and we've not had one problem with any of the projects. The in-home appointments are a bonus -- it allows you to see the projects in the light of your own home. I don't even know where to begin! My husband and I finally purchased our first home after 3 years of looking! The previous owners had a dog and unfortunately there was a large stain on the living room carpet and it just smelled like wet dog especially when the sun was beating down on it. Molyneaux Flooring was the first place we walked into to find our new carpet! And we were glad we stopped looking from there. We met Shannon right when we walked in the door! Super super super nice lady! She showed us the samples, showed us price ranges and even offered a free home consultation. She brought more carpet tiles than imagined. I think we dropped more in the grass trying to bring them in! Of course because of Covid we had to wait a little longer than planned but we tried our best to be patient. I was at work when the carpet got installed. My husband gave me a play by play and said how professional and nice they were. They even cleaned up after removing the old carpet before putting the new carpet down. When I came home from a long 12 hours the first thing I did was lay down on it. It's soft and comfy and we even somehow managed to match our couch to it! (Not planned-couch was picked out before carpet) All in all, it has been almost a month later and I've never seen my husband want to vacuum the carpet so much! Shannon and Molyneaux did a fantastic job with helping my family pick our carpet and throughout the whole installation process. Shannon brought tons of samples and let us pick what we wanted and didn't try to sell us on anything we did not need or want. She took measurements at the appointment and gave us a quote. She even worked with us on the price. The carpet has great padding and the carpet itself is of high quality. The installers came in the morning, removed the old carpet and padding, installed our carpet/padding, and were complete by 4 pm. They did not leave any mess behind. You can tell with Molyneaux that you get top-quality products and services. I looked other places, even know Molyneaux was more expensive, it was worth it to get better quality carpet and quick install by a professional contractor than someplace like Home Depot, where they don't know what they are doing and don't glue and stretch the materials properly. Highly recommend Molyneaux! When you read a review, it is also good to point out some negatives points too. I had two things that I would like to mention. I wish there was more of a follow-up post-installation to see how things went and they charged my credit card with the second half of the bill before the job was done. But other than that, Molyneaux and Shannon did a good job. read more

Purchased Molyneaux Carpeting for our entire house. Susan was a pleasure to deal with. I had never visited Molyneaux before and she answered all of my questions and was very professional. She scheduled an appointment for the coming week at a time that was convenient for me. She called to confirm the appointment and showed up as expected. I showed her the rooms we were carpeting and she got right to work. She was efficient and friendly. We selected the carpet we liked and she gave a quote and offered us a promotional financing package. The process easy and painless. The carpet installation was just as painless. I received a call to confirm carpet installation and again was pleasantly surprised when every went as I was told it would. The installers called and arrived as expected and got right to work. The gentleman were efficient and professional. The installation went as expected. It is not very often that you make a purchase and it goes as smoothly as this purchase did. The quality of the carpet is much better than the carpet we had installed in 2002! Thank you Molyneaux for making this a pleasant experience. I'm glad I decided to call Molyneaux. In the past, I never called Molyneaux because I thought they would be too expensive. This time I decided to call them for an estimate and I'm glad I did. They weren't the least expensive out of the estimates, but what sold me on them was their salesman, Steve Porter. I expected him to be like the other salesmen, from other flooring companies, who came to give me estimates. The others were at my house maybe 20-30 minutes max. Steve took his time. He was at my house for more than an hour because I wanted to make sure it was the carpet I wanted. I never felt pressured or hurried. He was patient and asked me questions about the amount of foot traffic that particular area would get, so that I not only picked out the color I wanted, but I also got a carpet that would hold up to the amount of foot traffic that would come through that area. Steve stayed until I was sure that it was the carpet and color I wanted. The installers were professional and respectful of my furniture. They were very detailed and made sure everything was correct before they left. I was very pleased with the overall experience with Molyneaux and will happily use them again. read more

I had heard about Molyneaux expanding beyond only flooring and decided to have them quote me a price for a kitchen refresh. The entire experience was amazing! Their designer consultant, Shannon Davin, reached out to me to get a better idea of what I was looking for and then came to my home to review the various options available for the project. I was quite surprised with the sheer number of choices available as well as the number of samples that she brought with her for me to review. She went through how the refresh process works (as they partner with Vangura for the countertops) and provided some helpful suggestions. That experience went extremely well and Shannon was amazing! I ended up agreeing to move forward with Molyneaux and am really glad that I did. Molyneaux handles all of the scheduling and coordination not just for their crews, but also of Vangura's as well. Each of the individuals that Molyneaux (and Vangura) sent out were very kind, respectful, and informative. I was particularly impressed with both Frank and Johnny's work and work ethic!! I love Molyneaux tile and carpet. I used the Mt. Lebo office to carpet my whole house in 2015, excellent crew, very professional and the sales person, Jen, was super easy to work with, never made me feel obligated. (The other carpet company I called to get quotes from didn't even bring samples, he thought I'd just sign up given their name. No!). Also, Molyneaux's warranty on their installations can't be beat. A couple years later, I used them again to tile my entry and they did a fantastic job. I got top dollar for that house when I sold it. Now, I'm in a condo and called up the Robinson office to come give me a quote on living room carpeting. Shannon came out and brought the samples I requested. They must train their sales associates not to be pushy, but to listen for what your needs are and make suggestions off that. I felt at complete ease with her as I had each time working with them in the past. I know Molyneaux is a little pricier than other companies but it comes down to service, quality and professionalism. You pay for what you get and with Molyneaux, I know I am getting the best of all three. read more

This is our first time using Molyneaux (170 Quinn Dr.) for carpeting. We decided to try Molyneaux due to the advertisement on TV. Steve P. and Lisa C. came to our house, provided many sample pieces and explained the differences in carpet. We had many questions for them due to a bad experience with our previous carpet located on first floor (three rooms with heavy traffic). They were able to answer every question we threw at them and guaranteed their work. During the installation, Mike and Steve (crew) moved all the heavy furniture, removed the old carpet and padding, swept any debris left on floor then installed the new padding and carpet. The crew was very polite, had a great routine and cleaned up afterwards. They had their own vacuum to sweep the new carpet and once completed, they replaced the furniture that was removed. Mike and Steve did a wonderful job! The reason we are giving a 4 star is because we want to see how the carpet holds up because of our bad experience with the carpet from a previous company. We are very pleased with Molyneaux as far as cost, service and installation! read more

Our sales rep Shannon got the ball rolling and gave us lots of great options to choose from! She was easy to work with and made us feel comfortable and confident with our decisions. She went above and beyond keeping in touch while we waited for our flooring to arrive and has followed up since our project completion. We dealt with 2 crews for installation, one for hard floor and one for carpet. Both crews were incredibly efficient! Each team arrived right on time as expected and competed their jobs in less time than estimated. The hard flooring crew gave so much attention to detail on their cuts and making sure everything, including our quarter round and transitions were perfect! The carpet crew went above and beyond to make our staircases look beautiful! Both crews also left our home just as they found it with every piece of furniture right where it was prior AND they took the time to vacuum any place they may have left dust or dirt. We couldn't be happier with the service and quality we received from Molyneaux and have already started recommending them to family, friends, and neighbors! read more

I contacted and compared numerous flooring companies and found Molyneaux to be the best. Their sales consultant, Steve Porter, was very friendly, personable, informative, patient and extremely professional. He came to our home twice with many different flooring samples and explained in detail the various options for our current and future flooring projects. We also heard early on from the owner, Pat Molyneaux, who made himself available, via his personal cell phone number, if we had any questions or concerns. Once we signed the contract, the installation process went perfectly. The company communicated well. The installation was scheduled and done on time. The installers, Florin and Nick, were great people and did an outstanding job. The only issue was the stain on the shoe molding (quarter round) did not exactly match our existing baseboards. Molyneaux corrected that problem and had the matching shoe molding installed in a timely manner....Bottom line: I cannot imagine doing business with a better flooring company. I will differently use them for all my future flooring projects :-) !! read more

Molyneaux and our consultant, Shannon, were phenomenal. We had our consultation in December 2018. Shannon brought lots of samples and measured all of our rooms. We selected carpet, and went back and forth a bit on which areas of the house we wanted to carpet, etc. Shannon dropped samples and came to our house multiple times - we never had to set foot in the store! She even called us when she saw a larger sample of one of our colors and let us know it looked a bit different at a larger size and she wanted to drop it off so we could see it. She really went above and beyond to make sure we were happy. Scheduling the install was incredibly easy, and the store/installers communicated with me every step of the way, even when we weren't home during the install (in early January 2019). We were very happy with the final product as well. Overall, a very easy, quick process. We didn't bargain hunt, and you may be able to find a better price, but for us, the convenience and the confidence we felt with Shannon and Molyneaux was worth the potential extra cost. read more

This was the first time I used Molyneaux for carpeting and I am extremely satisfied. My initial call was answered promptly and within a few minutes, I had an appointment for a design consultant to come to my home to help me select my new carpet. Bill Pollock was very personable and knowledgeable. I wasn't sure what I wanted and he patiently showed me sample after sample, until I found just the right carpeting for my home. Setting up the installation appointment was seamless and he was helpful in setting up financing as well. My installers were right on time. Len and Greg were very courteous and they did a great job with the installation. They even cleaned up, vacuuming and trimming around the baseboards. They took great care moving my furniture. I can't say enough about them. The entire Molyneaux experience was terrific, from start to finish. I would definitely recommend Molyneaux. It is rare to not have any complaints when hiring someone to do work at one's home. But I sincerely have nothing but praise for a job well done. read more

I am a little late writing this review. With three teenagers things always seem to get pushed to the side. We had our consultation on February 22, 2018 with Susan Polaski. We were on planning on replacing the carpet in our family room but decided to do tile in one of our upstairs bathrooms and tile in our mudroom also. Susan brought many samples for us to choose from and was very patient while we picked everything out. We did not have to wait long for installation although it did have to be done over 2 days since we had both carpet and tile. We only had a problem with the grout color in the upstairs bathroom. It was not the color we had picked out. Molyneaux came back and fixed the problem and even gave us an additional discount for the issue. We love our new floors and have received many compliments. We will definitely recommend Molyneaux to anyone we know who needs flooring in the future. The amount we paid was more than we were planning to spend but the quality of the work and the product was definitely worth the price. read more

Very happy with the new carpet as well as the entire buying process. The Molyneaux showroom has hundreds of styles on display, so the selection is great. Erin came to my house and brought several of the samples that I had liked from the store so that I could look at them next to my furniture. She took measurements and gave me quotes on 3 different carpets. The quotes were very competitive and reasonable when compared to the quotes I had received from 2 other competitors. After choosing one of the carpets I scheduled an installation for about 3 weeks later. During the installation while they were removing the old carpet from the stairs, they found an issue with one of the steps needing some repair work. The installers gave recommendations on how to fix the issue and even helped fix it. The installers were also very careful when moving furniture and put everything back in place after the job was done. Molyneaux stands by their work and I am happy I chose a company with such a great reputation. read more
