For our most recent project, we had another person refinish our entry, powder room, hall and kitchen floors about 6 months ago that did an extremely poor job - uneven stain, waves and gouges sanded into the floor, dull finish and raised wood grain making the floor very rough. Building Buddies remodels bathrooms, kitchens, and other rooms. Building Buddies remodeled one of…read moremy full bathrooms in 2024 (see my previous review for details) and another full bathroom and a half bathroom in 2025, and they did some handyman work for me in 2026. Building Buddies has a Facebook page, so through Facebook Messenger, I contacted the owner Jason to ask for estimates. He soon came to my house to view the proposed work, and he promptly emailed me estimates. Jason himself performed the remodeling of my bathrooms and the handyman work. He communicated about when he would arrive each day, and I thought that his work looked like a high quality. My attached photos show some of his work--tiled floors and installed bathtub, cabinets, toilets, faucets, and light fixture. (A different business installed the countertops and sinks, and I must still finish the painting and a few mirrors.) My husband and I feel very happy with our new bathrooms, and we will definitely consider hiring Building Buddies in the future to remodel our other bathroom, kitchen, and basement. As for the handyman work, Jason efficiently patched ceilings, replaced a window operator, replaced a light fixture, changed outdoor lightbulbs, and hung a bathroom mirror. He finished the work in a normal pace--significantly fewer hours than what a competing handyman company wanted to spend.

I then got an appointment to view the narrowed down choices and quickly made a choice. The installer was professional and courteous. After install some bumps appeared. A follow up appointment was quickly scheduled and that solved the bumps issue. Floor concepts was a pleasure to work with. They were friendly, helpful and efficient. They are also doing a great job with pandemic safety measures. They have a lot of inventory which helps in finding a good price and finishing a project quickly.

We hired Molyneaux to install manufactured hardwood on our first and second floor. They were…read moresupposed to have it installed while we were on our honeymoon. Instead, they barely finished our second floor and had none of our first floor done when we returned. On top of that, it took them an additional three days to finish the job. The final job included uneven floors, floors that creaked, and floors that were not evenly distributed. They clearly were in a hurry, with quality being a minor concern. They offered us $500 credit for a future job but their pricing for said future job was so outrageous it seemed a joke. Instead we went another direction. We used Empire for our addition 6 months later, and the quality difference is noticeable. The Empire floors are solid, even, and stable. The Molyneaux floors are uneven, inconsistently placed, and lacking quality for the price charged. Overall very disappointing.
